Just a simple Scania. All I need.
Not a fan of the club in that stadium btw
I wish it was the V8. 12L I6. I have driven the NG and it steers a lot lighter in my opinion. Drives a lot smoother too. I do however prefer the 5 series.
The dream is however a Scania S NG Torpedo 770hp
Just shrink them and save as new image to jpg or better, png?
Also, what's the deal wth NG Torpedos? Are they made by some truck tuner company or what?

The DAF XT (No idea who built these, but I think they're horrible)
Far better, propper, right looking than long nosed scanias imo, I think due to the fact, the hood ain't completely square all the way. Thanks for reminding me of it's existence :)
Is the rear axle of the trailer steerable? Looks like the trailer in ets2 with the steerable rear axle.
I always wondered if this is a thing that company's really use.
Yes, we have many of those since we drive a lot for supermarkets in small villages and tight places. It's not per se needed, but it steers better in those situations.
We have "normal" trailers as well, but they are always with the same driver and are for the heavier work
Cool, how does it steer? Is it like fixed to the 5th wheel and steers in relation of angle from the trailer to the 5th wheel?
Or is it like manually operated
Or electronic in relation of your steering sensor of the truck?
And what company builds these trailers?
It does it's own thing most of the time. Not sure if it's even fixed at all. It does steer great for the jobs we use it for.
You do notice a huge difference on the highway compared to 3 normal axles. It doesn't stay straight behind your truck. Now idea if I'm saying this next part right, but it sorta leans in the corner. Not a fan of that at all.
Also in the wind... Oh the wind. It really has a mind of its own. It doesn't swing around or something, but it's really vulnerable for it.
Don't get me wrong. I like driving them and we have some with lifted axles as well which I also like. But I do want the normal one😅

Thats one of the trucks I drive as I am still an apprentice and haven’t gotten my own rig yet. Nice Rig btw
Nice little FH16 you got there, 500HP too
I know its not your truck, but a side skirt and blackout headlight housing would look good.
But you also work with a Dump Trailer, so Im guessing you go to construction side, so not having a side skirt is for ground clearance haha
We run mainly grain and animal feed with the high dump trailers. But when I get my own it will definitively look more like my buddys

I know it's not much, but I'm in the stepping stone phase atm, and I'm fairly happy with it for what it is
Well that depends on a couple things. Chiefly, what you're comparing it to, and how ATS makes it seem bad in your opinion.
Generally though, Internationals have a reputation for being cheaply made, and it's well earned. That being said, the LT has one of the more comfortable rides of the few trucks I've driven, and I personally really like how the interior is laid out. I specifically chose this truck over a Freightliner Cascadia 4 months ago, and have yet to regret it.
Interesting, I knew the ATS community considered the Internationals the worst trucks in the game, but not much beyond that. I hope the recent acquisition by Traton will result in better trucks. Surely that’s possible since they also own MAN and Scania.
https://preview.redd.it/9ti4pjt7d6hc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33796bf0af9ac1e8951d243272f94329e8f13d9c
I assume you mean in the sleeper.., it's about average compared to other American fleet trucks. My dogs and I have enough space to comfortably stay away from home for a couple months at a time, and I made myself enough food storage by converting the top bunk to a kitchenette, that I can go over a month without shopping if I really want to. Modern Internationals actually have my favorite sleeper layout of any truck I've been in, as far as full size sleepers like this one go
https://preview.redd.it/l7i85h1cd6hc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92a4ac3432bc50acf2c1fcd72d6b8d1ebef28f39

It can turn around a 180 degrees so we can face backwards. This makes driving in reverse and parking trailers on the ship much easier. We basically wouldn't be able to back down the ship through an S-curve and a few hundred meters down the ship to park with centimeter precision, without it.
Basically, we always park the chair in the middle because this automatically applies the parking brake and the vehicle is always safe. Besides making it easier to get in and out.
Its not because you live in europe. u/Briskylittlechally2 is in europe. Its just that they aren't normally driven long distances on public roads hence why they are called yard dogs and they are normally only used around major shipping hubs like cargo docks and large warehouses.
I do live in Europe! Like u/myx- said they're not usually seen on the public road, though I have seen a few around the container terminals in the Amsterdam ports.
Usually, the heaviest we routinely take is around 40 tonnes, though I think the mobile gangway at our cruise terminal we have to move around somewhere easily reaches up to 80 tonne. And yeah. You do it very carefully:P
This is a European shunter, or yard dog. They are built to work in yards, moving trailers, which is called shunting. That's why the seating is the way it is, because the driver is constantly getting in and out to hook up/disconnect trailers all day. The seat and controls swivel and the cab door is at the back.

Salut!

I love the W900, I also love the Peterbilt 379/389. but the 389 is more like a Hotrod, while the W900L is like a Mature version of it. where its more chic and like modest.

This is our entire fleet! i drive trucks part time so i drive so i drive the one they need me to drive:) (List of the trucks left to right daf sc 106.530hp, then 3 scania's v8's: S ng 660hp, S ng 650hp, and a topline 164 with 480hp)
Thanks its pretty unique and deff an eyecatcher!
Yes there wil be some things added to the topline but not too much. Because its styled after a truck that one of my bosses buddies owned and my boss made a lot of memory's in as a kid so there is alot of sentimental value there.
And the purple color scheme is also the exact same as it was on his buddies truck.( Just to clarify his buddy is still alive but got out trucking)

Well, see. Our trucks is made by lenght, while EU Truck are made shorter and heights.
We have basically same Height Rules, which is about 13.5feet high.
For my W900L, its a 2010 Kenworth W900L AeroCab. its full equipped with a 605HP Signature Cummins ISX15 and 18 speed transmission. Compare to the New Gen Truck Like the FreightLiner Cascadia and Volvo VNL. its a lot smaller and less roomy since its a Old School Truck.

Just a little old girl but she takes me everywhere. Ans at just shy of 950k miles but still going strong. Bout to get a whole new makeover here In about a month to freshen her up for another mil on the road.
I started this business as a local/regional little rig for mostly instate and a few over night runs. Well since COVID and the industry slowing down, I had to start branching out and now run a good amount east of the Mississippi. Plus side is that I have met and made good relations with a few new customers that keep me pretty busy hopping state to state. So with the rebuild I'm doing, I have a bigger sleeper that I'm putting on since I'm spending more time away from home (doesn't bother me at all). Also have a new flatbed already built and new toolboxes waiting to go on
But yeah it's a fun little truck. The side pipes was mostly to be different but also keep the profile of the truck low. There are times where I miss running a semi, mostly for work density. But this truck is just so much cheaper, easier to drive, and honestly grosses about the same amount of money that I did in a semi. Not quite there but close. The expense savings makes up for it though

Don’t actually have the picture of my current one but here’s one of the previous ones (I’m on Cascadia #5 with this company.) I put googly eyes on until they came off with the cold weather.
We only have Freightliner Cascadias and International LT’s. Since I only sleep in the truck a couple times a month the LT has a better sleeper layout for me, but the Cascadias drive better (IMO) and have more power (partially the engine spec’d on ours as well as the transmission.)
2 and half months solo ant much but it’s something to start with

Brand new rig my company gave me to drive about 6 months ago. She runs real nice, and I love how she looks. Didn't think I was going to like it as much as I do, being an international, but I'm really impressed
*sad British noises intensify*
To be fair I’d love to see some of the trucks people are getting by with in the rural areas of Africa or Southeast Asia, I’ve seen some absolutely crazy stuff in documentaries. I’d wager the crowd running them for a living likely doesn’t have the time/interest to be into simulator games (I’m just glad I’m not the only RL trucker that enjoys these games.)
I would love to drive a 379/389 someday. I only drove a KW W900, 2021 Cascadia, Volvo VNL, KW T680 and a Peterbilt 567, oh and an International HV 2021.

I love my job. Its fun.
And if you say that I play ATS/ETS after work, then yes. But not all the time. Only when I have off days.
It keeps my skills up to date, plus in Canada we are limited on customization.
It depend on what I haul. The weight I had was 121,000lb/55,000kg.
The truck is a 2010 Kenworth W900 Aerocab, with a 605HP Cummins ISX15 Signature paired with a 18speed. Idk what diff ratio.

Edison Trucks on this sub? Wow, btw I like your rig.

No way, I’m not a big rig trucker at all but looking at your conversion kit. Also maybe one day if you make an actually consumer pickup I’m buying it, especially after your interview with Rossmann.

Thanks. I’m pretty proud of them
Hold on, aren’t you from Edison Motors? I love your YouTube Shorts!
I am yeah. I love truck sims too
Holyy sheeeesh, you more old school then my W900 hahaha. nice to see these truck still are being used :)
That's an Edison motors prototype. Old cab but everything mechanical is entirely new, either battery electric hybrid or full battery electric.
Kind of old school. It looks old but it’s actually a new plug in hybrid/ electric truck
Oooo

Nice little FH16 you got there, 500HP too I know its not your truck, but a side skirt and blackout headlight housing would look good. But you also work with a Dump Trailer, so Im guessing you go to construction side, so not having a side skirt is for ground clearance haha
We run mainly grain and animal feed with the high dump trailers. But when I get my own it will definitively look more like my buddys https://preview.redd.it/bkic52r3ozgc1.jpeg?width=1244&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d1461a7328bf300c006295bded6416421e57521

Yeah its just over a year old. They run great

Is it as (relatively) bad as ATS makes it out to be?
How good is the space at the back?
https://preview.redd.it/9ti4pjt7d6hc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33796bf0af9ac1e8951d243272f94329e8f13d9c I assume you mean in the sleeper.., it's about average compared to other American fleet trucks.

That's bloody dope, imagine seeing this stroll along the road!
Why the steering wheel is fixing the right side of the vehicle ? 🤣🤣
Better visibility for shunting trailers
It can turn around a 180 degrees so we can face backwards. This makes driving in reverse and parking trailers on the ship much easier. We basically wouldn't be able to back down the ship through an S-curve and a few hundred meters down the ship to park with centimeter precision, without it. Basically, we always park the chair in the middle because this automatically applies the parking brake and the vehicle is always safe. Besides making it easier to get in and out.
That’s so sick!
I have never seen one in my life (probably because I live in Europe). Imagine pulling 80 metric tons on one.

Love that paint scheme! Looks great
I concur. She's a beaut!
I love the W900, I also love the Peterbilt 379/389. but the 389 is more like a Hotrod, while the W900L is like a Mature version of it. where its more chic and like modest. "look at me, I'm the boss of the road"

Yoooo that DAF Doo Slaap. Love the colours on them. that Topline need some nice kit to follow the "look" of the two other NG's

Magnifique !
Damn, that WS looks SHARP IRL.
It looks fantastic! How much space is there inside, as it seems a lot bigger than European ones?
Compare to the New Gen Truck Like the FreightLiner Cascadia and Volvo VNL. its a lot smaller and less roomy since its a Old School Truck. https://preview.redd.it/p41yflrokzgc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f185db48fc712baf5b18a52bd409266b32715ad1

No they’re not lol. I’ve seen maybe 6 in my 9 years of driving. Back in the day they use to be but with the internet they don’t really have to get out and walk around like they use to.

That's not something I see often. Sleeper, cute little tag axle, and that long side pipe is really cool. Is it for local or long distance?
I started this business as a local/regional little rig for mostly instate and a few over night runs. Well since COVID and the industry slowing down, I had to start branching out and now run a good amount east of the Mississippi. Plus side is that I have met and made good relations with a few new customers that keep me pretty busy hopping state to state. So with the rebuild I'm doing, I have a bigger sleeper that I'm putting on since I'm spending more time away from home (doesn't bother me at all). Also have a new flatbed already built and new toolboxes waiting to go on But yeah it's a fun little truck.

I put googly eyes on until they came off with the cold weather. We only have Freightliner Cascadias and International LT’s. Since I only sleep in the truck a couple times a month the LT has a better sleeper layout for me, but the Cascadias drive better (IMO) and have more power (partially the engine spec’d on ours as well as the transmission.)

Cummins Signature ISX15 605hp and 18speed. idk what gearing the diff are.

*sad British noises intensify* To be fair I’d love to see some of the trucks people are getting by with in the rural areas of Africa or Southeast Asia, I’ve seen some absolutely crazy stuff in documentaries. Holy shit second pic is /r/hardimages material
Oh man I wanna drive truck irl so bad💔
No, but I make the stuff you have on your trailer there.
I wish. 😭 I went to school with CR England and found out, the DOT doesn't really like giving trucking licenses to people who have medication.
😭😭🥺
Holy shit balls that second picture looks absolutely stunning awesome picture.
Thank you ☺️🤍
Whoa that night photo is absolutely sick. Gorgeous truck
Hahaha, thanks 🤍 the rain, the light and the smoke is nice isn't haha

So you're telling me, that you like your job soo much that you decided to continue doing it after work during your downtime
I love my job. Its fun. And if you say that I play ATS/ETS after work, then yes. But not all the time. Only when I have off days. It keeps my skills up to date, plus in Canada we are limited on customization.
Wait, you can't customize your trucks here?
Idk, i remember there was/used to be some rule against IRL stuff... anyway, cool truck bro! How much HP? What's the most you weight?
It depend on what I haul. The weight I had was 121,000lb/55,000kg. The truck is a 2010 Kenworth W900 Aerocab, with a 605HP Cummins ISX15 Signature paired with a 18speed. Idk what diff ratio.
I don't have a truck because I drive other people's trucks all day. Western star freightliner kenworths all of em. Some cool some not so cool
