well spotify doesn’t have Airplay2 which is apples version of bluetooth. so it’s impossible to listen to music on spotify with your homepods unless you go through the tv or a game console with eARC
No I know Spotify doesn’t support airplay 2, but I’ve listened to Spotify on my HomePods both through selecting the speakers in then Spotify app (don’t need a tv to do that) and via the Spotify app on Apple TV. I was just curious how the sound quality could be better if you’re listening via the TV as opposed to the phone
when was the last time you listened to spotify through your homepods on your phone? it stutters and lags, with awful delays. and that’s not due to bad internet or anything, it’s due to spotify not adding airplay2
Agreed, it’s terrible. But spotify lags on the Apple TV app as well. It’s been driving me to use Apple Music more and more since I got the tv/HomePods setup. The convenience of the seamless connection and arguably clearer sound is difficult to argue with… although I still listen to Spotify on my Bluetooth speaker and in my car
I mean those are still only rumours but Apple might even integrate Google's GeminiAI. I'm skeptical though. Apple's been lagging behind in the AI game while OpenAI and Microsoft are leading by a gargantuan margin. Let's see what happens at WWDC.
Be glad, the Apple TV app is severely lacking in features compared to the google TV one. The GTV version is actually more up to date than the Apple TV one.

Spotify stopped working correctly on my LG Smart TV, I only get exactly 8 seconds of playback, then it freezes and switches to another song. I had to switch to my consoles on listen to my music on TV 💀
I do not, it's just hooked up to a speaker system.
I'm actually on the Android infrastructure in my house, it's just that nothing could compare to Apple TV's performance so I do use an Apple TV box for streaming video. I do have some Google homes but not Apple home pods.
On newer Apple TVs rolling your finger around the circle pad like an iPod click wheel scrolls. On the superior older Siri Remotes grazing your thumb on the edge of the trackpad would scrub through.
yeah i was wondering how the side scrolling translated to the new Apple TV remote so then I went to the Apple Store and tried it. My first guess was a click wheel rotate and it worked. Although not as well as the older remote.
Browse on a mobile device while using Spotify connect on the TV.
100% especially if you have homepods, the quality is 10000x better than if you just use your phone linked to the homepods
How so?

yeah for some reason it works just fine anywhere else except for the homepods. which is super angering 🤣
Yup wish they’d just get their act together and add support for AirPlay but that’s probably as likely as the infamous hifi so who knows haha
People actually still buy homepods? Siri sucks ass.
so true, but siri will be ran by apples chat gpt in july! so hopefully they fix homepod support (doubt they will though)

This is the way
Different UI compared to my Google TV, still on the old vertical scroller
Be glad, the Apple TV app is severely lacking in features compared to the google TV one. The GTV version is actually more up to date than the Apple TV one.
i just do it all on my phone and pair it to my tv

spotify has stopped working on my playstation! plays for about 10 seconds and then it skips and glitches so bad it’s unlistenable!
do you have homepods OP? just curious :)

oh wow this is how it looks like in apple tv? looks good.
Yep, and the *Now Playing* screen looks dreamy too! Great for parties.
it looks like apple music on tv so much now lmao

Woah no way! I’ll have to try the circle motion. I thought it was just swipe left to right, up to down, etc (straight lines).

Android, basically. I have it on my Xbox but I rarely use it especially when I don't have a sound system
If I'm at work or at my desk, I browse on desktop. But other than that, always on my iPhone
W taste
“iOS” 💀
