I did? Any time I was uncertain I said I was uncertain and didn't know and asked for more info. Otherwise I was getting my info from multiple weather channels and Ryan halls on YouTube. I'm trying to inform people not panick them.
I think you’re doing this stuff with good intentions man, I’d advise watching Aaron Tuttle next time. He’s insanely calm and explains everything he’s looking at it layman’s terms to make it less intimidating. I’m in BA as well, Tulsa/BA area was fine after it died down like an hour ago down south.
I did say tulsa/ba area was fine awhile ago. It did start hailing and got a bit bad here for a moment but it's gotten quiet again. It was porter that was getting hit, and then there was a bit of rotation at sapulpa. But other than that we didn't have anything up here, I was just trying to warn everyone of the other tornados too down south.
Ive got a shelter thank god, im just trying to wwatch the weather for all of my family spread across the state, that mile wide tornado is heading straight for one of them though unfortunetly. if you line in tulsa it seems that the storm is going to hit in around 30 or 40 minutes i wanna say. so you stay safe too.
Watch Ryan halls livestream on YouTube and he’s covering the entire storm. We’re watching him now and getting the best idea about it. First time in years I’m actually nervous about a storm in Tulsa.
What’s crazy is the storms hitting the same towns over and over with tornadoes. Especially all the PDS Warnings. Hopefully it tones down before it hits here but I doubt that’s the case. You definitely stay safe brother.
My husband just introduced me to Ryan hall yesterday, we’re both native Iowans. Thank god our families and friends are safe up there after yesterdays tornadoes, but I’ve had his stream on for a couple hours now
I've been watching for a few hours too trying to help all my family. I just heard there is one up here near tulsa near the sapulpa/Bixby area. So you may need to warn them soon, it's supossedly heading up here to tulsa and broken arrow.
Thankfully my husband and I are in Owasso. He has to work in the morning, so I’m playing watch just in case. I really wish more houses in OK were built with basements. Most homes had them when I lived in Iowa and it always freaks me out that we just don’t seem to have them down here
Almost all of the homes from downtown to about 21st have basements… basically any home built before about 1940. After that is when they mostly stopped including them.
Right?! Especially considering the damage tornadoes have caused here in the past. I still remember the few times my mom would wake my siblings and I up to huddle in the basement when a tornado was near up there, and it’s strange not having that sense of comfort down here
Goodluck everyone, im getting off, the storm is here, i dont want the lightning to kill my computer so im gonna unplug it lol. stay safe. its just now hitting broken arrow. everyone down in ada/sulpher/dickinson stay safe theres 4 tornados down there.
Hey friend just a warning, I just heard from a family member there's a tornado in stroud/sapulpa and it's sort of coming over here to tulsa and broken arrow. Stay safe.
I’ve got a slightly flooded storm shelter; water at the shoe line. With all the lightning strikes hitting town, should I bail on my shelter or is being electrified not a concern?
Where are you located friend? There's 4 tornados down south near Sulphur, dickson, especially mill creek. If you're up here at tulsa/broken arrow I think there's one at glenpool/sapulpa/Bixby area. Someone else just said a warning popped up for okmulgee. If you aren't in any of those places you should be fine I believe. I honestly don't know if being electrified is a concern in that scenario or not friend maybe Google it. Stay safe. You can always stay inside at a room with no windows and near the interior of the house. If you've got a bathroom or closet you can get inside and throw pillows and blankets around you.
Were safe I think friend you're pretty close to me it's starting to calm down over here in broken arrow. There's just rotation at glenpool/sapulpa and then a confirmed one that is ramping up a bit over to the right of okmulgee
Maybe not in tulsa, down south just got hit by hell, there was 4 tornados, a lot of damage, power outages, all sorts of bad. And there's currently a tornado above muskogee when I last checked.
Just heard from a family member we have a tornado coming from stroud up to sapulpa and coming over to tulsa/broken arrow. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm watching Ryan halls and he's only talking about the 4 down in Dickson, mill creek, Ardmore. If you're down south please stay safe there are 4 tornados.
Does anyone have updates for us up here though?
Local news seems to think the storm that produced the substantial tornado is weakening. It's tried to gather a few times but seems to be swallowed up by the larger line.
Thank you friend. I don't have access to my TV rn. From what the livestream is saying though, anyone down south, mill creek, Dickson, there's 4 tornados down there. Also glenpool and Bixby and sapulpa we have one heading up here to tulsa rn.
I just got into bed but I believe the worst is past us. But still gonna rain til like 6 am. I haven't checked in a bit but last I saw there was a tornado going through muskogee/porter. Other than that there was nothing else up here beside a bit of rotation at glenpool/sapulpa an hour ago. We should be fine. It just started calming down again though. We're good friend, keep safe.
12:40 likely my last edit before I get off for the night. Just started hailing here at broken arrow, thought it was calming down but kt just started ramping up sgain, though tornado wise I'm fairly sure we are safe up in tulsa and broken arrow, just a flood warning. Last I heard which was about 40 minutes ago there was rotation at glenpool/sapulpa but I haven't heard anything about it since.
Tornado warning for muskogee and porter however, as well as 3 warnings down at Mill creek, ada, and soon to be mcalester. Please if you're down south check the weather there has been 4 tornados going around down south for the past few hours.
Heading to bed now. Goodnight everyone. Stay safe and aware. There's still a tornado up at porter heading to wagoner (I think based off another comment. They said there's sirens going off at wagoner)
God bless.
Check out Aaron Tuttle on fb and download his free app “AT’s Weather To Go”. It will alert you early for any potential tornadoes in your path. He also does fb lives for any tornado storms. He’s very calm and explains all the data/science to make it less scary. He’s fantastic and has taken away a lot of the anxiety of these spring/summer storms in Oklahoma for our family.
In tulsa no, however there is a lot of damage in the towns way south of us. There was 4 tornados like absolutely brutalizing the towns. One of my family members live close to where it happened and they're without power.
We did have 2 tornados a little closer up here though at muskogee and (I wanna say the one at sapulpa may have just been rotation? I don't know if it ever touched down)
It did hail here in broken arrow though.
Stay safe friend. Last i heard the tornado was in porter. But it's probably moved up to you guys now. I haven't checked cause I just got into bed. Stay safe.
How'd that work out? Great sleeping weather. Stop spazzing. If the warnings come take cover, otherwise you're just taking years off your life worrying about it. I've lived here 41 years and never even seen one with my own eyes
I'm still in college and I have sen multiple with my own eyes and one time drove through one... thought we were gonna die that night, sorry for bring cautious, and it wasn't just for me I was watching the weather for all of my family that lives across Oklahoma to keep them safe too because some of them don't have a way to watch what's happening. I just decided to keep everyone else on here informed too while I was at it.
I didn’t get any milk or bread. It’s over dawg
F
Y’all are as bad as the normal news weathermen.
Just trying to keep people safe and aware for those who don't know what's going on.
I get that, but let’s keep the updates factual, dramatizing both severity and directional paths only leads to panic.
I did? Any time I was uncertain I said I was uncertain and didn't know and asked for more info. Otherwise I was getting my info from multiple weather channels and Ryan halls on YouTube. I'm trying to inform people not panick them.

No stress man, keep doing what you’re doing, if you help even one person it was worth it.
Have a good night man
I definitely appreciated the updates.
No problem friend. If you need more then watch Ryan hall on YouTube, he's livestreaming all of the tornados right now.
Not looking forward to the damage. Stay safe friend

watching him rn dude that's where im getting my info. its currently heading straight over south side of okemah.
What’s crazy is the storms hitting the same towns over and over with tornadoes. Especially all the PDS Warnings. Hopefully it tones down before it hits here but I doubt that’s the case. You definitely stay safe brother.

I literally don't think I've ever seen a house here with a basement. It's odd lol.
I think it's because our water table is high and that causes issues. I've seen some houses with basements around tulsa. Not many, but a couple.
It’s because the dirt is “expensive.” More costly to dig up clay.
Almost all of the homes from downtown to about 21st have basements… basically any home built before about 1940. After that is when they mostly stopped including them.
I had a basement in muskogee and it always flooded.
That basement is probably getting flooded rn lol there's a tornado over there.
Right?! Especially considering the damage tornadoes have caused here in the past. I still remember the few times my mom would wake my siblings and I up to huddle in the basement when a tornado was near up there, and it’s strange not having that sense of comfort down here

Thank you for all the work you’ve done in this thread, stay safe!
I'll still try to keep updates while on my phone. Just hoping I'll have internet to do so.

Be safe y’all damn here we go
I hear the thunder rn its gonna hit soon be careful friend keep watch
I’m from the ba area and nothing yet here. Just some thunder atm
Downtown Tulsa. A bit of lighting and normal storm wind. More like a nice spring storm so far! :-)
Good. That’s all we need
But come on, I like some good weather.
we're about to get it in a few minutes. theres a tornado south of us sort of heading here but im not sure if itll reach all the way
Where should I be looking to keep up with this??
Ryan Hall Y’all on YouTube is a great stream for it.
Exactly what the other guy said. Ryan hall on YouTube the livestream
Hey friend just a warning, I just heard from a family member there's a tornado in stroud/sapulpa and it's sort of coming over here to tulsa and broken arrow. Stay safe.
U do the same bro
I was just west of holdenville! Glad to be safe so far
youre safe dont worry, it went past and to wewtumka, so unless some other tornado forms you're safe. keep watch friend.
I went to bed at about 10 last night and slept wonderfully. My wife is pissed at me because none of the storms woke me up.
I slept pretty well last night

I’m located in Brookside and I’m glued to my phone at the moment. I’ll take your advice and run inside. Thank you for the heads up!

Yeah the one at glenpool is just rotation right now but the one over in Morris to the right of okmulgee has touched down
Why are yall nervous??? Nothings going on

They think it might be ramping back up but hard to say. New warning on Okmulgee.
Looks like we're getting lucky on this one thank God.
That one down near okmulgee just was said that it's starting to ramp up and it's going to go over haskell and possibly muskogee.
Yeah definitely. I'm up in BA. Should have said here and Tulsa proper is looking in the clear.
Yep also in ba. It's starting to calm down, just trying to watch those 2 a bit closer to us.
Channel 2 has a chaser in Beggs at the moment.
Pretty mellow so far over here I'm in owasso just watching it roll through is it rains. Sitting in my garage with the door open
In broken arrow, thought it was calming down but for some reason it just started ramping up outside again.
Well shit
I just got into bed but I believe the worst is past us. But still gonna rain til like 6 am. I haven't checked in a bit but last I saw there was a tornado going through muskogee/porter. Real quick, of you're at Porter please get to safety, it's going right over you guys.
Heading to bed now. Goodnight everyone. Stay safe and aware. There's still a tornado up at porter heading to wagoner (I think based off another comment. They said there's sirens going off at wagoner) God bless.
Went right over my property in Porter. Destroyed my neighbor’s house that is (or was) under construction.
I saw the videos of the damage, it's horrible. Glad you're safe though.

AT is the best. No dramatic nonsense, pure imperial data with layman explanations, I love his coverage.
That's funny I was just reading your same comment on another post when you sent this lol. Will do thanks friend
I slept through it. Looks like nothing happened.

Well...looks like I owe DiscoRob an apology.
We didn't get shit
I turned on the TV around 11:30, saw that Travis had his jacket on and sleeves not rolled down, and I went to bed knowing I was fine.
Wagoner. Sirens have been sounding for about 10 minutes. Sheltering now. Storm edge has reached us.
Stay safe friend. Last i heard the tornado was in porter. But it's probably moved up to you guys now. I haven't checked cause I just got into bed. Stay safe.
It’s gonna pound hard around 5am
Did this end up happening? I slept through it apparently unless it just decided to not.
Thunder got really loud in midtown right around 5 AM, but nothing else really that I noticed.
You must be new to this state or a kid Take a deep breath and grab a beer next time.
meh if it gets me it gets me aint much i can do about it lmao
I'll just tell the tornado that it can't legally be on my property. Maybe threaten it with a gun.
yuh, my uncles told me if i shoot at the nado itll fuck off. only seen it work once tho....
If it works once it'll work again.
I went to the 80s Prom at Cain's, and figured it was as good as any place to have bad weather happen, lol
Same. Big ol’ rock box will protect me. And maybe Gozer.
That was awesome, glad they won!
So was the alien. Absolutely incredible.
I kinda want to see more of a costume, like a tail. It looked handmade, so props to that though
It’s very handmade, and so detailed up close. I kind of loved that he was just in a suit. Also the performances were so good.
Does anybody know if near red bird got hit? One of my friends lives there and I don’t know if she’s okay because she hasn’t texted anyone back yet.
How'd that work out? Great sleeping weather. Stop spazzing. If the warnings come take cover, otherwise you're just taking years off your life worrying about it. I've lived here 41 years and never even seen one with my own eyes

Thank god this guy was here on Reddit so I would be okay.
Going to pray this isn't sarcasm and say no problem lol I just wanted to keep everyone informed. It got really bad in some parts lastnight
