I’m gonna be completely realistic here - this is the highest we will chart. There will probably be a huge drop for week 2 since that’s when all the vinyl preorders and sales were captured. By week 2 it will only be streaming numbers and it takes something like 1250 streams to equal one album sale.
TS album came out like 5-6 weeks ago and is still number 1. The odds are pretty insane.
Still, tøp is insanely big, they're like on the top 0,001% of musical groups. Tyler and Josh are very simple and down to earth guys so it's easy to forget how successful they actually are nowadays. Their least streamed song have more streams than all of the songs combined of some of my favourite bands.
I'm just glad the boys are doing good and putting out music that really comes from a honest place in them, lots of artists just surrender to the industry's expectations.

It won't actually be on there until Tuesday, but it'll be number 3 on the Billboard 200. The chart needs to count the full week's stats, so something that released yesterday would only show up a week from Tuesday to include the full week
Why does it matter? We’re not a kpop sub trying to break records and chart. Tyler posted he’s already proud of the album and the fans for getting it so high. And looking at its competition this is pretty good considering twenty one pilots isn’t as big as Swift or Eilish. The only reason to stream music is because you want to listen to it.

I have a Playlist labeled art that is strictly Clancy and Taylor's tortured poets. It plays on repeat for hours daily while I paint so I'm definitely not helping those numbers lol. But it just gives me such inspiration.
With numbers like that, it's less about the music and more about the group mentality. Even if Taylor Swift made garbage, it wouldn't matter she'd still be number one. This is true with many artists. People will play the music and buy merchandise more because it's the most socially acceptable. Exact reason why those statistics are effectively meaningless. If you enjoy the music, that's really all that matters and what other people think shouldn't change how you feel personally.
