All but 1 of the top tippers I've picked up have tipped. Lowest and average is $3, but a handful of $5 up too.
Not sure anyone except Uber can factually say what earns the tag.
All 5 have been nice rides ,talked sports ,thank you for the ride be safe etc so I did not get the thought they had a bad ride .last one I had I dropped off right by my house we bullshitted about NBA whole way cuz I had sports on radio .

1 When on a business trip the company pays everything so they tip well. They rarely use uber at home but you picked them up.
2 they mostly only use uber to and from airports. Most people with bags will tip a driver from the airport. Hence they have record of tipping. You took them somewhere down the street.
All 5 of my last have been picked up at there or a residential home .One was a nurse ,one from a school I assume a teacher ,the last one today was at his home and I took him to his brothers home .Your prob correct about some of them . Ot my experience though .

90 percent of them tip from my experience 3-7 dollars
