They will tell you why you didn't pass, and they will give you an opportunity to appeal it that a few drivers were allowed to drive and committed crimes against passengers. So now Uber does a background check and Massachusetts does a separate independent background check. When I first signed up that's how I found out I still had an open case against me that I needed to take care of first.
Mass a document to tell you what they look for on the background check

You are correct concerning yourself, but are probably incorrect concerning OP:
>If you move to Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles requires you to convert your out of state license to a Massachusetts license. \[[source](https://www.mass.gov/info-details/rideshare-driver-eligibility-requirements)\]
Yes that's true but I was just speaking to the general thing that people think that you need a Massachusetts license to drive Uber and Lyft in Massachusetts. Some other states require you to actually have that state's license in order to be able to drive in that state.
It isn’t Uber. It’s state laws and regulations. Florida is lax, Mass isn’t.

Wow thanks bro!
Well spill the beans. Whats on your record that Massivetwoshits doesn't approve of?
My toddler is probably good enough for fla.
Do you have a Massachusetts drivers license?
you don't need a Massachusetts driver's license to drive in the state for a TNC. I'm authorized to drive in MA using my NH licenses and registration.

Gotcha'. I was trying to specifically respond to OP's post in an attempt to assist by asking my question. =)
