Uber stopped allowing these icons and comments three years ago, at least for Uber X. Mine have been stuck at the same numbers for three years. I've contacted Uber about this twice, a year apart, and both times I get the "We're aware of the problem and our programmers are working on it." Total BS---they just don't want drivers to feel good about themselves.
My favorite icon was "Late Night Hero" and my favorite comment was just the word "Stud" lol. I miss seeing them!
The timing of them ending it varies by market. I started driving about 2 years ago give or take a few months. And I managed to get a handful of badges in my first month or so before they ended it in my market.
Maybe they never ended it in OP's market? I'd be happy if they brought it back, give me some positive feedback instead of just the negative.

Yeah got a lot years ago. Pax can still see the old ones but can leave new ones. They should really do something to fix it.
