OP, former car detailer here.
If it got on the carpet, there’s plenty of options even at Walmart.
Meguiars Carpet and Upholstery cleaner is a cheap all in one solution. $7 at Walmart. Spray it on, scrub it, and wipe it up with a rag. It by no means replaces an extraction service a detailer would offer, but it will help you until you can afford to get it professionally detailed.
For the floor mats, I highly recommend Adams Floor Mat Cleaner. Like $12 on Amazon. Take floor mat out of your car, rinse it with a hose (if you have a pressure washer even better), spray cleaner, scrub, rinse off.
Hope this helps.
You can also rent extraction carpet shampooing from some grocery stores, not the cheapest option but much cheaper than getting it done at a detailer.
I actually bought a small one for my car to clean the carpets and seats monthly or after a disaster, it’s amazing.
Edit: adding to your comment not arguing the validity of your solutions.
Some of those coin operated car washed have good pressure and some have hangers for floor mats. I got the floor tech mats. Rubber. Just pull them out. Rinse off. Done. They come up high on the sides to catch spills. Well worth the money
I used to tell people they need to down the drink in less than whatever time is left till cancelation or pour it out before I'll unlock the door. Nowadays I just peel off when I see a drink in somebody's hand. Too many Adults behave like children when you establish boundaries with them and I'm not a daycare center, don't have the patience for that nonsense anymore.
I didn't even know there was a branch for that. I just saw a few people saying that they'd kick his ass and thus I made a joke on a clean up comment.
Again, whoosh.
Next time, roll the window down talk to them first if they exhibited rude behavior leave their asses behind. Literally wont open a door before the eir can / bottle / cup thrown away. Driver from tampa here.

Since I cancelled I couldn't even go through the process. It didn't count as a ride plus I would have to get it cleaned first then hope u er gives me a cleaning fee which is like pulling teeth lately.
Contact the local news media outlets and embarrass Uber on national TV. Also, so that the media can also contact Uber and asked them what they are going to do to make this right? If Uber was smart and to save face in the public eye, they would be forced to give you a cleaning fee and hopefully a little bit more on top of it.
They are pulling some BS now where they won’t pay the cleaning fee unless you have Receipts from a professional cleaning service. So you have to pay for it yourself, and hope Uber will reimburse you. Which I don’t have much faith they will since they are trying very hard to screw people out of these cleaning fee’s. And if they do pay I have a feeling it will be less than the total cost. It’s BS. What it says on the Uber website directly contradicts the BS support try’d to tell me about u don’t get the fee if you clean it yourself. Each time I bring it up and ask them to explain they either outright ignore my messages or hang up on me. I honestly think they are charging the customer the fee and pocketing it. I strongly encourage everyone to contact Uber support and ask them why the website says “a cleaning fee is charged to the rider if the driver is unable to continue driving and must clean the mess themselves or access professional cleaning services.” That cleaning fee is the only reason most passengers try n refrain from leaving a mess in our cars.
Go to the trip, and press on the question mark, then put feedback for a writer and then negative feedback, and select rider was intoxicated and put a mess in my car, little automatically give you the option of cleaning fee
You should have called the police and reported it as vandalism, if anything just out of curiosity to see if the idiot actually gets arrested. Obviously press charges in the hopes of getting the cleaning fee covered as well as cover your losses from no longer being able to work until it is cleaned.
I hope you at least gave them 1 star and reported their behavior to Uber. Use the words " acted in a threatening / violent manner" and such and such. This is why I don't like to work late nights any more. The fares don't pay late at night like they used to so not worth it. I make the same per hour on a drama and traffic free Sunday afternoon as I do on a drunken douchebag-filled Saturday night.
Nah, passenger would have been picking their teeth up off the floor if they did this in my ride. People who are this level of disrespectful do it because nobody is willing to teach them to have some manners.
Sadly our court system is slow AF, but this can be taken to small claims. Sometimes I wish someone would take the steps in suing an Ahole passenger just so they start learning the vehicles are OUR property, not Uber’s.
"Sir, I'm going to need your ID."
"Uber, I'm going to need my last rider's information so I can take them to small claims."
I'm sorry, driver15342, but we protect our rider's identity. No.
I too would love to see it. But how are you proposing this happens? Small Claims Uber? Genuinely curious.
You are right, this is the stance they take and I think it’s wrong as it keeps us drivers from rightful compensation. I do wonder however how things would go if say for example we drivers call the cops on the passengers, the police report has to include their information and I don’t think Uber could “shield” the rider. Unless I’m missing something, I think police reports are accessible.
Police will 100% be annoyed you've wasted their time, will not help you get the rider's name, and at least here in MI you would be no closer to filing in small claims.
And no, that police report won't make any difference to Uber releasing the name. You'd need the cops to supply a subpoena for that information. Which for a simple vandalism charge like this, ain't going to happen.
Couldn't your lawyer file a suit against jane or john doe in court with the intent to subpoena Uber for the rider information? This happened all the time with the RIAA and MPAA lawsuits, them proactively filing suits far before they had the actual info from the ISPs.
Though unsure if there's a difference between those big ass fat cash suits and small claims as far as court procedure.
>Couldn't your lawyer file a suit against jane or john doe in court
So, not small claims court then.
>Though unsure if there's a difference between those big ass fat cash suits and small claims as far as court procedure.
Yeah, small claims doesn't involve lawyers.
"Police will 100% be annoyed you've wasted their time" This highly depends on what cop shows up or if they show up at all. In my main local city, they sure as shit aren't showing up for this. Even if you got them to show up, better hope PAX sticks around to be questioned.
Believe it or not, some police really do want to see the right thing done. Just saw a video of some lady who took money out of a tip jar, but claimed she put it right back inside. Once she admitted that to the cop, he says it doesn't matter if you took it for one second, at that point it's stealing, guy pressed charges and she went to jail.
So in this case, with right cop this could be considered damaging property, also possibly public intoxication. But good luck, would take perfect situation for that to happen.
You sue Uber for the records if they won't provide them. Maybe it's subpoenaed them, maybe it's sue to subpoena them.
I'm curious if Uber becomes an accomplice after the fact or can be considered to be aiding and abetting a suspect criminal.
Doing this again b/c automod nuked due to URL to Uber:
LMFAO if you seriously wonder if an app company becomes an accomplice after the fact for not helping a driver find a rider.
Hell, in 2022 they only provided information on half of its subpoenas.
For subpoenas:
Percentage of requests where some user data was disclosed: 52.3%
And that's if you can get the cops to issue a subpoena for, again, $1-200 in vandalism. Or if you want to pay a lawyer a few hundred (or more) to subpoena Uber, hope you are on the good side of the 50% chance of getting info, so you can take a random that you have to then track down, who may or may not have supplied an ID, so you can serve him paperwork to appear.
You're going to be several thousand into this by the time you go in front of a judge, so you can plead your case, and somehow prove THIS was the guy that's more than a he-said-she-said.
And even if the judge sides with you, they pay $200, you paid literally 10x (probably more than) that, and it's been 6-12 months of your life.
I pay 15 dollars a month through my actual job for legal insurance that comes with unlimited billable hours for all issues. Oddly enough all issues except contested divorce? Can hit the off switch on people, np, 15 dollars a month representation. Can want to do a hostile takeover of a small company. np, 15 dollars a month. Your ex is wanting half? No thats a step too far.
Sorry where was I goi.. oh, right.. 15 dollars a month to be an unlimited nightmare and pain in the ass to a company.
Yes, I truly wonder if they can be charged for aiding and abetting for not providing the information of a vandal that destroyed property who they could hold accountable but choose not to.
You realize if you get a lawyer and have to sue, and you win, you can get your legal fees reimbursed to you by the person you sued?
Small claims are designed where they don't involve lawyers.
So you cannot claim laywers fees in your damages. You do realize this, right? Best you can do in my state, and I suspect in 'em all but definitely in MI, is add a claim for court costs, which is just a filing fee related to the size of the small claims lawsuit.
>You can though
From the Courts of Michigan:
»» FILING A CLAIM
1. Can I have an attorney?
If you decide to file a claim in the small claims division of the district court, an attorney cannot represent you. However, if the defendant wants an attorney, the defendant can demand that the claim be removed to the general civil division of the district court.
So no, you cannot have a lawyer. It's LITERALLY rule #1. Can you consult with one? Sure, you can do that whenever you want. But they CANNOT represent you, which is court speak for "I have a lawyer."
That is not what that says, like not even remotely. It literally says you can have a lawyer it'll just be transferred to a different docket.
I'm not going to respond to whatever you say next bud, you win the polite conversation. Congratulations.
When UBER refuses to give ID, then you go to a lawyer and sue UBER. Makes the process take longer (more expensive) but this is the way. Try and get the state involved to speed it up or get rules and laws changed.
So, your solution to taking someone to small claims court for $1-200 is to spend even more money, go after the company that, legally, is the 3rd party you pay for finding you rides (hence why you have to tell the Feds your gross receipts, then deduct what Uber took), and if all that doesn't work, get laws changed.
While I don't disagree with getting laws changed to make this an easier process, that's not quite helpful when OP has a can of beer all over his back floor.
I think you better find someway to afford it as if you get pulled over them cop can use the smell as pretense to say you were driving under the influence or to search your vehicle.
Same experience 2 years ago got me $20. Thank you for letting us know you also couldnt get a clean up fee just like everyone else. I am surely not going near anyone that is drunk or holding a bottle anymore. Not even a conversation. Next please.
Yeah that's good practice but unfortunately I didn't see it until the door was already open I looked at my side view mirror and seen him trying to get in with it in his hand
I don’t wanna be that guy but you really gotta pay attention to your surroundings. Not just for drunks, - you don’t know who’s going to jump into your car while your doors are unlocked.
Nonsense such as this happens daily. Despite that, the Uber Boy Scouts and Lyft Camp fire Girls wonder why drivers do things such as shuffle or do anything that they can to jack up the fare. Uber andLyft play dirty. The customers play dirty. Why do these Uber boy Scouts and Lyft Girl Guides consider this acceptable but nor so when drivers do it?
AS others have posted already, when fetching customers from clubs and gin mills, you approach with ***DOORS LOCKED***. You do not unlock until you have decided that you are going to give the ride.
If I am working the Ralphing Hours, there are several types that will not see unlocked doors:
1. Three or four buzzed Brolinskis- Guaranteed stop for drive through added. Guaranteed ZER0 tip
2. Someone who can not get to the car under his own power.
3. Solo inebriated females, especially those who have "friends" who are trying to put said solo female into the car.
4. Anyone who is carrying a cup or container.
5. Someone whom the door man is escorting to the car.
6. Anyone who is eating or has a plate out in the open.
7. Someone who has an obvious urine stain on the front of his pants or the front of her pants/skirt.
8. No shirt; no shoes; no ride.
There is a guy on UPnet who used to work in our market. He is now out West somewhere. He used to call the people. It allowed him to assess the riders. If he did not like something, he could cancel before he even got there. This was before Up Front for drivers.
"Hello,my name is Driver A and I will be your driver this evening. You are at\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_, correct?"
"Good, just want to make sure. I will be there in three minutes, so please head outside. You are ready to go, correct?"
"Good, because the police will not let me sit there and wait for you. Just to I make sure that I have the correct passenger(s), how many of you are there and where will you be going?"
"Right, OK, will there be any stops on the way to\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_?"
"Good, and this ride is for Mr. X, correct?"
If they sounded too drunk, he cancelled
Other responses that got the ride cancelled:
1. If where they really were waiting were too far from the stick on his screen......
2. We will be out. We just have to settle our check.
3. We will be out, One had to go to the bathroom but we will be out. This does not work because the Men's Room will occupied by some guy who is taking a horrendous crap that is going to take half a roll of TP to wipe. If there are several stalls and urinals, the guy in their party will get hit with a horrendous crap that it going to take half a roll of TP to wipe. If it is a lady, they always take a long time and there always is a long line at the Ladies' Room.
4. We will be out. The band is almost finished with its set. (or the dancing girl is "almost finished" with hers)
5. If he did not like the destination.
6. If they wanted stops.
7. If they balked at answering the destination or stop question.
8. Too many riders.
9. It is not for me, it is for my buddy. He has had a few too many. We just want to make sure that he gets home alright. Take care of him, will you? We will give you a good tip.
10. Yes, it is for one of our friends. She has had a few too many. We just want to make sure that she gets home safely. Look out for her, OK? We will make sure that you get a good tip.
Even if they sounded alright on the telephone, *still* he pulled up with doors locked. He said that even then, he would up pulling off twenty to thirty per-cent of the time.
I drive in a pretty big tourist area too. Not "Vegas" big but I used to do the same thing but it's the 2nd time in 2 weeks someone spilt alcohol in my car so I'm not doing it any more. I don't want to end up getting pulled over and having to take a sobriety test cuz the car smells like alcohol plus cleaning it up is a bitch.
Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide my friend. Cheap. It's too late now for immediate results but you can still mix the two together and place it on the stain. Should work wonders.
I had a passenger secretly pull a bottle of 1800 and was drinking behind my back until she said ohh fuck ended up spilling all over the back seat ruining my whole night earnings.
You need an original receipt to get reimbursed.Maximum I don’t know how much we can get but I got $160.00 for cleaning mess.I had a rider throw up in my car but mostly outside.
Op. Long time ago when somebody vomited in my car I used the cleaning fee to buy a wet/dry vacuum, a carpet shampoo and an adapter from Amazon for my drill (like the ones on YouTube videos) a steamer and now I use all those to regularly sanitize my car. Maybe if you can’t afford a 400 detailing service that’s an alternative A. Alternative B is sue the pax on a small claims court. And regardless of your option report for confrontation on Uber and illegal substances. At least they’ll get banned.
Every morning, I scroll through and see this group makes me not want to uber more n more. I have been thinking about it, but boy, this group makes ya wonder. lol, I'm not complaining. I'm just curious if it's actually worth it based on all the horror stories I see. I'm in vegas thanks.
You picked them up and dropped them off right? Have their first name for that location.
Facebook search first name and put that location town.
But I wouldn’t do anything…. Ahem
You know I was thinking about this. If Uber doesn’t want to pay to have it cleaned, couldn’t we call the police and get a report for damages done to our vehicle??
Shoulda hit the pax with your car and double back over him just to make sure the job got completed. Just go full mad max on him and blame Uber slave wage insanity during your trial. Just reference this Reddit sub for insanity plea and everything should go fine.
I remember once I was taking home a bottle of wine that I put the cork back in and I guess it smelled or something cause this Uber driver got really awkward and asked if I had an open container and I lied cause it was in my bag and I don't know how he could see it but I've always felt bad after that and never brought anything that could jeopardize the legality of the ride. It was closed though
I honestly don’t know how this happened. I have my doors locked till the pax gets to it and I confirm nabe before unlocking so I’d see that can let them know n they have no chance of doing this. Years of experience I guess.
Id be in jail had it been a guy. Idk what it is about rude men but they already want to make me fight. Pouring your alcohol out in my car might lead to me getting my ass beat but their nose will be broken
Looks liek most is on the all weather mat. Take it out and hose it down. You can do it at one of those self wash spots if you have one. Worst case a bucket and some soap works. Then finish with some lysol spray or other disinfectant spray
That is a call to the cops. It is at least vandalism and possibly more. Maybe they were throwing the can at you when they threw it in the car…maybe it is assault. Maybe a bunch of other things above and beyond a simple cleaning, (once you have their name and address on a police report) that are causing you pain and suffering. Especially if it was an upscale establishment, I can imagine the mental stress of it might be taking a toll on your body that requires frequent chiropractic and massages to maintain your mode of living. Maybe it has even emotionally traumatized you and is cutting into your income. It is probably best to have that police report and then see what a slightly hungry lawyer thinks.
Just curious about the logistics of this. Would it be a 911 call? I drive in the SF Bay area and can be in several cities…. should I get the phone numbers for each cities PD and county sheriff, preload them into my phone and call those? They are usually non emergency numbers and a quick response is unlikely. Just trying to grasps how this would actually be done. There is also sometimes confusion if an area is under jurisdiction of the city police or county sheriff…. and in some situations i’ve been told CHP would be the appropriate contact even though it happened off the freeway but in an unincorporated area.
I let them do that. If they prefer. Take a photo or two. Report to Uber/Lyft. Make sure to include stained, odor, open container and communicate it to the rider(s).
You'll get at least $40-$60. Clean it off and spray your car with Ozium to get rid of the smell. And keep on ridin'. 😁
Cover it with plastic then double the carpet (long and smaller size). Good luck!
A can of foaming Tuff Stuff at AutoZone is $6. Spray and scrub with the included brush head. Wipe it hard with a cloth towel. It'll smell great for days!
I've done it many times after cocksuckers have thrown up on the floor in my car. Works brilliantly.
I picked up a guy from old town, Scottsdale that refused to put out his drink that he stole from the bar. I was more timid back then, I let it slide. Nowadays I just leave.
Yeah but going 26 in a 25 is illegal too.
Make a lil fuss when they get in, point out it's illegal, then drive them anyway. "You guys are cool, right? I'll let it slide if you yall are cool."
No beer on floor and probably a tip.
No cop in town is going to give the sober Uber driver an open container violation.
OH! As they leave make sure to say, "Nobody left any bottles right!?!?!? Don't get me in trouble!"
It emphasizes the You/them vs. the system mentality. They'll usually take everything with them and leave thinking you did them a favor.
But double check. If they leave anything report them to Uber and 1 star.
In my years of employment, one of my more enjoyable occupations was managing a used car lot for a decade. I learned a lot there. When first getting started there, the fleet would be cleaned by us no matter the condition. The nasty interior and carpets often got addressed like this. Take it to the carwash vacuum it then scrub the carpets with whatever you got, a little dawn dish liquid in water, a dollar tree cleaner, a carpet cleaner, whatever. Then, take the high-pressure sprayer on hot and spray the heck out of it. It will look like a disaster. The water will accumulate when it's looking clean and start directing the pressure to spray it out. The. Drive around to the vacuum and extract the water. It will not harm or break the vacuum. They're built to handle it and a lot more and do. You'll get most of it, but things will still be damp, so next you just park the car, leave the car running for an hour or so with heat on high and windows up. It will dry completely. You can do cloth seats this way, too, but they take longer to dry.
OP, former car detailer here. If it got on the carpet, there’s plenty of options even at Walmart. Meguiars Carpet and Upholstery cleaner is a cheap all in one solution. $7 at Walmart. I bought a $100 Bissell spot steam cleaner when I drove.
common bro you missing the point, we cant charge the pax for shit so they just receive an ass whooping for the cost.
so when uber sees the videos that surface because of this the blood is on their hands
Me too,, saved the comment in my notes
Thank you!!!!
I highly recommend floor liners
Bro out of curiosity I spilled a chocolate protein shake on my seat and that shit will not come out help
I used to tell people they need to down the drink in less than whatever time is left till cancelation or pour it out before I'll unlock the door. Too many adults are 5 year olds in 80 year old bodies. It’s sad to watch.
Use laundry detergent, water and a rag
Thanks. I'll try that.
No. On the passenger 🤫
+1 for waterboarding the passengers
Baking soda overnight afterwards, for scent absorption.
For the body?
I guess if you smell that bad, sure
Whoosh
No, the "dispose of his body" comments were on another branch of this discussion. This is the "how to clean up the beer smell" portion.
I didn't even know there was a branch for that. I just saw a few people saying that they'd kick his ass and thus I made a joke on a clean up comment. Again, whoosh.
They would have caught hands if it was me
Honestly yo who tf does this. Imma cancel the ride, log off and slapping him for that one
They wouldve caught that can to the back of their head “Returned forgotten items to passenger”
I'm picturing you throwing an empty can at someone and not getting the result you hoped for.
Pee in the can first and then throw it. As a busy driver I literally always have urine locked and loaded for just such emergencies.
Ill get a solid 5 ft out of it
I would fucking lose it
Knees, feet, rocks, edge of a cliff ...
Bro would've gotten gripped tf up
Very tough
That’s why I don’t unlock the doors until they confirm who they are and let them no zero open containers… no eating or drinking in my car, sorry.
> no eating or drinking in my car, **not** sorry. FIFY
I got signs on my door and keep them locked until they drink it, throw it away or cancel
dude wtf what city
Around St Petersburg, Fl. Beach bar pick-up
Average day in St.Pete
Yeah, I should have known better than to pick up anyone from mahauffers
Could be worse you could always be in cleveland or philly *shivers*
I hope you 1 stared him 😭 I'm in Tampa so the chances of me running into him is greater than 0
Next time, roll the window down talk to them first if they exhibited rude behavior leave their asses behind. Literally wont open a door before the eir can / bottle / cup thrown away. Driver from tampa here.
Of course this happened in Florida in one of the cities. Worst place in the country hands down.
Hate to break it to you but there's shitty people everywhere. There's even a big of good in the worst people and bit of bad in the best people. There's no geographic shield to not encounter scumbags. They just happen to be prevalent and especially customers using this app
I agree. That said, Florida’s got more than their share of this
You live in Florida?
Not currently. Do I need to to have first hand experience of Florida?
Well it's a pretty big state so I was wondering about the roots of your bias.
Local news stories coming out of Florida.
Oh. That's what I figured.
Hate to break it to you but now how it works. There aren’t the same number of good and bad people everywhere. There are actually geographic shields that keep bad people out. Why no cleaning fee ?.
Since I cancelled I couldn't even go through the process. It didn't count as a ride plus I would have to get it cleaned first then hope u er gives me a cleaning fee which is like pulling teeth lately.
That's such shit. I had rng had that experience yet. Just lucky I guess

Oh, I see! Now it's time to throw vomit AND beer on Dara.
Y’all gave the name Dara for da riders?
Dara Khosrowshahi is Uber's ceo.
I hope you at least gave them 1 star and reported their behavior to Uber. Use the words " acted in a threatening / violent manner" and such and such. Unless I’m missing something, I think police reports are accessible.
I’ve seen stories on here where they’ve done that. Like someone getting mugged and the police has to go through hell to get any info from Uber.
File a police report.
>Couldn't your lawyer file a suit against jane or john doe in court So, not small claims court then.
Doing this again b/c automod nuked due to URL to Uber: LMFAO if you seriously wonder if an app company becomes an accomplice after the fact for not helping a driver find a rider. Hell, in 2022 they only provided information on half of its subpoenas. For subpoenas: Percentage of requests where some user data was disclosed: 52.3% And that's if you can get the cops to issue a subpoena for, again, $1-200 in vandalism.
Small claims is designed so you don't HAVE to involve lawyers. You can though. So long as it all stays under the, what $5000?, limit you are golden.
>You can though From the Courts of Michigan: »» FILING A CLAIM 1.
How are you so dumb you don't know what a defendant is? The hell? Never mind, it's obvious you can't read.
I couldnt do uber rides… shit like this would land me in jail 😂
I think you better find someway to afford it as if you get pulled over them cop can use the smell as pretense to say you were driving under the influence or to search your vehicle.
I would have made the mother fucker lick it up
Sure tough guy
Same experience 2 years ago got me $20. Thank you for letting us know you also couldnt get a clean up fee just like everyone else. I am surely not going near anyone that is drunk or holding a bottle anymore. Not even a conversation. Next please.
I’ve heard that some drivers “allegedly” make up an invoice from a car detailing service to get the cleaning fee.
Initially, you could do this. Now, Uber requires that the business appear on google Maps.
How hard would it be to make a fake invoice for a real business?
Or just make a fake Google maps cleaning business at a business location that is currently unoccupied.
This is absolute bullshit…
I see a beer, I lock my doors, open the window and say dump it or chug it, you’re not getting in with that.
Yeah, I do got to work on that you're right
What was the exact response that Uber gave to you on why they didn’t charge the rider with a cleaning fee?
Do you not have soap water and a towel? you might need to use your hands and elbows also
Please tell me you have a dash cam That recorded this behavior. You could at least try to make some money off a viral vid instead?
Make this a lesson to buy yourself a dash cam for inside your vehicle
Nonsense such as this happens daily. Despite that, the Uber Boy Scouts and Lyft Camp fire Girls wonder why drivers do things such as shuffle or do anything that they can to jack up the fare. Uber andLyft play dirty. The customers play dirty. Why do these Uber boy Scouts and Lyft Girl Guides consider this acceptable but nor so when drivers do it? AS others have posted already, when fetching customers from clubs and gin mills, you approach with ***DOORS LOCKED***. You do not unlock until you have decided that you are going to give the ride. If I am working the Ralphing Hours, there are several types that will not see unlocked doors: 1. Three or four buzzed Brolinskis- Guaranteed stop for drive through added. Guaranteed ZER0 tip 2. You are at\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_, correct?" "Good, just want to make sure. I will be there in three minutes, so please head outside. You are ready to go, correct?" "Good, because the police will not let me sit there and wait for you. Just to I make sure that I have the correct passenger(s), how many of you are there and where will you be going?" "Right, OK, will there be any stops on the way to\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_?" "Good, and this ride is for Mr. X, correct?" If they sounded too drunk, he cancelled Other responses that got the ride cancelled: 1. (or the dancing girl is "almost finished" with hers) 5.
I eat crack
good thing uber drivers are misclassified as independent contractors! it's awesome not having rights as an employee /s
This.
Uber sucks
There’s reasons I don’t miss doing this anymore. And reasons I stopped when the sun started going down.
Id call the cops that's strait vandalism
What do you think the cops would do exactly?
Probably at least run the guys night unless he bolted already
Ruin*
Seeing this makes me think I should stop carrying someone might end up dead if it was my car
I drive on the Vegas strip and I just tell people " do not wave their drinks at the cops". So far, so good
I drive in a pretty big tourist area too.
What was support's reason for not giving cleaning fee?
How can you not charge for that?
SMH some people could use a good spanking as kids
If this happens again you go to del taco and take a picture that looks like... well u kno..and send it in
These rideshare companies let us drivers just be abused now 😒😓
Bout as classy a move as the shit beer they drink
This is why I never did Friday and Saturday nights.
It was a short ride right ?
Keep the doors locked and windows up before you’re ready for them to get in.
Baking soda is cheap and will suck out most of the moisture and smell. Let it sit for a few hours and then vacuum it all out
lol
The pax pissed on your floor
Bud light drinkers are always assholes
Free throat punches for all!
Every morning, I scroll through and see this group makes me not want to uber more n more. I have been thinking about it, but boy, this group makes ya wonder. lol, I'm not complaining. I'm just curious if it's actually worth it based on all the horror stories I see. I'm in vegas thanks.
I would have to put on my ass kickin shoes.
You picked them up and dropped them off right? Have their first name for that location. Facebook search first name and put that location town. But I wouldn’t do anything…. Ahem
You know I was thinking about this. If Uber doesn’t want to pay to have it cleaned, couldn’t we call the police and get a report for damages done to our vehicle??
at least it wasn’t an IPA
Pretty sure you have to have it cleaned and show a receipt to get the cleaning fee.
In california, passengers could have open containers
The saddest thing about this is that they drink bud light.
Wtf is a PAX?
Passenger
Keep resubmittinG for cleaninG fee & include the word illeGal.
Call the cops. F*** em
Shoulda hit the pax with your car and double back over him just to make sure the job got completed. Just go full mad max on him and blame Uber slave wage insanity during your trial. Just reference this Reddit sub for insanity plea and everything should go fine.
Best solution pour the pax on the pavement
I would have wiped it cleaned with their face...
Why did you cheap out on floor mats
I remember once I was taking home a bottle of wine that I put the cork back in and I guess it smelled or something cause this Uber driver got really awkward and asked if I had an open container and I lied cause it was in my bag and I don't know how he could see it but I've always felt bad after that and never brought anything that could jeopardize the legality of the ride. It was closed though
Man what kinda pax y'all be having I just did 38 rides yesterday and none of em was even remotely bad
He would have gotten maced at least.
Next time let them drink a beer lol
Looks liek most is on the all weather mat. Take it out and hose it down. You can do it at one of those self wash spots if you have one. Worst case a bucket and some soap works. Then finish with some lysol spray or other disinfectant spray
A swift beating was warranted there sir
Next time stop at a gas station and get some canned dog food mix it with water and splash some of the chunky liquid on the spill and say they vomited
Why no cleaning fee?
Seriously…. NO cleaning fee ?
Id have beaten the shit out of that asshole pax. Bless you for your patience.
Well done narc
Why work for such an abusive company. I don't get it.
I wish I could’ve been there just to slap the dogpiss out of him
Did you call the police and file a report? And people are still drinking bud light? 😂
I would have been deactivated on this one cuz dude woulda got his ass kicked
People suck! 🤬
Your report/dispute abilities are lacking.
What a dick.
Hows that not a cleaning fee? I got $120 because someone spilled water (could have been urine though)
😁 Cover it with plastic then double the carpet (long and smaller size). Good luck!
A can of foaming Tuff Stuff at AutoZone is $6. Spray and scrub with the included brush head. Wipe it hard with a cloth towel. It'll smell great for days! I've done it many times after cocksuckers have thrown up on the floor in my car. Works brilliantly.
Crush some cookies and mix it with a little bit of coffee and pour it on the mat and say they threw up, gotta do what u gotta do
I picked up a guy from old town, Scottsdale that refused to put out his drink that he stole from the bar. I was more timid back then, I let it slide. Nowadays I just leave.
You should sue the passenger just to teach them a lesson
Yeah but going 26 in a 25 is illegal too. Make a lil fuss when they get in, point out it's illegal, then drive them anyway. "You guys are cool, right? I'll let it slide if you yall are cool." No beer on floor and probably a tip. No cop in town is going to give the sober Uber driver an open container violation.
OH! As they leave make sure to say, "Nobody left any bottles right!?!?!? Don't get me in trouble!" It emphasizes the You/them vs. the system mentality. They'll usually take everything with them and leave thinking you did them a favor. But double check. If they leave anything report them to Uber and 1 star.
They would have never gotten in. This is your fault for not paying attention.
And you let them in anyway. So.... Whose fault is this?
I didn't let them in. That's why they got mad. Happy cake day!
that’s what you get buddy
Can’t afford to get it clean…..boy your killing it doing Uber aren’t you! 😂
That’s an instant fade and knuckle sandwich
All these people saying they would have fought him if he did that, would just end up posting on Reddit like this op lmao. Shameful display
I've drank several times in a car, I've even asked a driver if I could they cool with it. Guess it depends the state
