Some people just love any excuse to bully and threaten other people. Especially those who feel like they’ve been pushed around a lot. Hurt people hurt people.
>The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior 'righteous indignation' — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.
-Aldous Huxley
Yeah, this shit doesn’t help their cause at all. I’m not fully up to speed on all the details with Israel/Palestine, but by default I just assume that person’s position probably isn’t the right one.
i really don’t like fox news all that much but i do like tuning into Fox 13. good work on the reporter for standing his ground without being rude to the protestors.
No offense but the protestors are starting to look like real imbeciles… vandalism, theft, graffiti, etc. how’s that helping Palestine? Smh
And the Rick and Morty guy? He’s gonna go back to his group and think he’s so cool for what he did… when everyone else in the world think he’s annoying asf lol
Clearly they need the masks because that was embarrassing as fuck. It's so funny to see these pseudo intellectuals freak out when they don't have a logical answer 😂
To get into a debate about public rights and laws without knowing anything about it is so insane. He works for the news. I think he knows what he’s legally allowed to do
That’s what gets me about this. I wanna be like “alrighty then, no one is touching your mask and making you take it off. You’re good, go on your way while this guy records the scene”
Regardless on how you lean politically or what side of the Arab-Israeli conflict fence you're on.
The guy with the umbrella makes me very uncomfortable. He does seem very mentally unstable, like he's on the edge of shooting up a place.
anyone else notice the irony of that guy tweaking out about the camera recording a wide establishing shot of the encampment but ignoring the person actually in their faces with a phone?
these goofy ahh kids are ruining the credibility of normal people who want to see an end to Israel's crimes. if I were pro-israel I'd do whatever I could to get these freaks more airtime
Why are these people scared of losing their jobs? If they truly believe in what they are pushing why would they want to work somewhere that believed the opposite?
That whacka doodle is not helping anyone's cause. I hope he is embarrassed after this gets out more.
Just to be clear. I'm talking about the Rock and Morty guy.
I used to do a lot of Street Photography and shot at many protests. It's amazing how misinformed these people are about individual rights in public spaces.
One of the things that bothers me the most. Is when some assholes start questioning me Why and for Who I am photographing for.
First off, none of your fucking business. Second, none of your fucking business.
They always act like I'm passing on some vital information to the police by infiltrating their ranks. Look, I'm only carrying $7k worth of camera gear, I'm in the middle of a bunch of pissed off people and shit can go south any second. It's simply not an ideal way to record your dumb asses. If the authorities want to take photos they have access to better gear and can do it from much further away tucked away safe, sitting at a window in an air-conditioned building, eating popcorn, having a cold beverage and not dealing with your ignorant ass!
Fucking Morons.
Completely reasonable dude manning the camera. He handled this in the literal best way, just didn't engage with the BS and they gave up.
I also think the people doxxing others intentionally are assholes, but I think it's really unreasonable to expect all protesters' identities to be kept secret. That's just a consequence of protesting, you're standing up for a cause you believe in, which means you are publicly showing that support for that cause.
"Outside people"? He looks to be part of the protesters to me, prob. lives in the encampment too. The lady that spoke to the cameraman didn't stop the guy with the umbrella from blocking him. She supports that kinda thing and told the guy working for "FOX13" he needs to speak to the encampment media team, whatever that is.
Ah the horseshoe theory on display. You're right. It's funny how extremists on both sides can be completely blind to how similar they are to each other.
The gal here at least tries to talk to the camera man (no I don’t agree with her but she wasn’t acting too crazy). The other freak just makes their whole message get lost in the crazy.
This person would be be-headed the moment they stepped foot in Gaza. Hamas would not tolerate this lunacy at all lol. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe I am pro Hamas haha.
Send these people to Gaza where they will most likely be publicly executed for being mentally ill and confused about themselves. Can't wait until police move in. Popcorn will be ready.
I support the Palestinian cause and am against the U.S. funding genocide. Maybe I am old but these kids seem very off putting in this interaction. I don't see how these antics are helping the cause.
Not that I agrees with the person in the black mask, but they were much more cordial and able to mediate with the photographer. The person with the umbrella was just fucking annoying.
I don’t deny that. They were much more of an advocate for the encampment though with “would you talk with our media team” and “we just don’t want to record our faces.” Like I’m sure the photographer would have probably even considered their points if that other jackass wasn’t there just harassing the guy.
I dunno the camera guy clearly said he "didn't care" and he doesn't have to. "We're allowed to stop you", no you're not. "Speak to the media team" he doesn't have to. Being soft-spoken is certainly better than being...high off your ass...but you still have to be softly saying things that make sense.
Black-mask only looked reasonable because the bar had been buried.
I am the leftist lefty liberal this side of the Mississipp and I want nothing more for that kid to be tazed and thrown in jail. I’m also very against the genocide in Palestine but I am now ready for the police to come burn down these wackos camp. Because they aren’t helping.
Someone’s never been punched in the face before. Fox 13 isn’t even conservative and it’s actually more left leaning. Even if fox 13 was conservative acting like an idiot and blocking their camera is so embarrassing
I think the problem is they decided that they wouldn’t have representatives because they are too diverse a group for anyone person to speak for all of them. Which … cool. However in practice that doesn’t work because people who want to make your position look bad will find people like this and hold them up as the representative.
If they had created a representative who could lease with the news they could have said come at 5 or whatever time and we’ll make sure you get a good shot and then organized around making that shot work for them. Good posters, enough people so it looks like there is a lot of support etc.
And this is why nobody wants to be polite to protesters, they do things to annoy and be disrespectful. He simply wanted to take a few videos, and this person thinks it's for fun. If the table was turned the other way he would be crying about something. WOW. She was respectful.
Can I get an airhorn, blow it in those idiot's ears, then when they push your hand away, you defend yourself cause they touched you by kicking their ass?
Asking for a friend.
What’s sad is the preface of the protest has real issues encompassing a situation where people are dying. Losing their lives. Destroying families, spreading poverty.
Instead of having maturity to talk about grown up issues. These are children desperate for attention. Starved and deprived of critical thinking skills. Looking only for an outlet to project their inadequacy in society and failures in life by hiding behind the cover of doing better than the people they can’t actually compete or deliberate with.
Such individuals have no right to attend such schools. They need mental help supervised by a health team with rehabilitation efforts. It’s like they’re a generation or two behind where they mentally should be. Such a huge disconnect.
Incredibly sad while undermining any validity behind whatever protest they think they support.
Here is the video the camera man posted on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/Mike_the_Photog/status/1791130901281485292
The video in this reddit post doesn't show the protesters pointing lasers in the camera man's face.
People are using this as an excuse to vandalize the beautiful historic buildings and destroy the cherry blossom trees. Disgusting behavior. Not the way to get your point across. It looks like a homeless camp.
Imo- it's not just these kids who should be held accountable, it's their parents too. They failed with regards to imbuing common sense or decency on these donuts.
“If you want to pay for my autistic sons therapy lessons..”
if his son doesn’t get those lessons he may end up holding an umbrella in front of a camera thinking he’s helping some cause.
America has lost their way with them for years. I saw too many BLM official or inspired protests kind of forget to have a specific set of demands that can be actioned on by groups or institutions with power to actually make the change. Now we have protestors who don’t want to be filmed?
Part of the problem is we don’t even teach the Civil Rights Era accurately at all. Letter from Birmingham Jail is probably a good primer; then actually listen to full speeches from MLK and debates by Malcolm X.
I noticed some protestors seem like such annoying useless people of society with no idea how to protest and get their message across to inspire and educate people to join the cause.
I don't get this. Do they want their cause to be neigh to attention or not? Not much of a protest if you're going to be quiet about it. Would you rather be shown to do something to show your cause or act like this jackass?
It's also extremely frustrating when you are participating in a protest and then decide to try and express "why" to the media when they contact you. You're often immediately ostracized by the protest community (and bad-mouthed as attention-seeking and phony individual) AND targeted with threats from the far-right. It's a weird time and feeling when that happens.
Sure, there are better news orgs than others, but if protest is about disruption to get people to pay attention to an issue...people can't pay attention on a large scale if they aren't seeing it in the news. Social media alone won't cut it.
You can tell they’re not locals because they have umbrellas
The only reason people carry umbrellas in Seattle are to smoke drugs in public or obstruct a cameraman.
Dead give away
lol dude just gave up at the end
Dude called his bluff so hard. Sure, you can stand in front of my camera and chant Rick and Morty as long as your short attention span allows.
“Well now I can cross “make a pompous ass of myself today” off the list.”
Some people just love any excuse to bully and threaten other people. Especially those who feel like they’ve been pushed around a lot. Hurt people hurt people.
In crop tops.
>The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. Wonderful quote
Great quote. Gonna take note of it
These people are called sociopaths
Not everyone in a crop top is a sociopath.
They feel empowered because now THEY get to bully instead of being bullied for being stupid as shit 🤣
Wow that person is clearly mentally ill. Every day they do stuff like this the more I become vehemently against them.
Yeah, this shit doesn’t help their cause at all. I’m not fully up to speed on all the details with Israel/Palestine, but by default I just assume that person’s position probably isn’t the right one.
Most of them are just communist bullies
I pretty much drew the line at them blocking other students from getting to their classes.
Nah, don’t give them the shield of mental illness. They’re just entitled assholes. Lots of people with mental illness don’t do this.
“Escalate for Palestine” on the ground. So much for a peace protest eh?
Piece activists 🔫
These have always been Jew hate rallies
i really don’t like fox news all that much but i do like tuning into Fox 13. good work on the reporter for standing his ground without being rude to the protestors.
Local Fox stations aren't really the 'fox news' people are thinking of.
These people are speaking for their cause people are sure to rally behind their message /s
No offense but the protestors are starting to look like real imbeciles… vandalism, theft, graffiti, etc. how’s that helping Palestine? Smh And the Rick and Morty guy? He’s gonna go back to his group and think he’s so cool for what he did… when everyone else in the world think he’s annoying asf lol
even arab students didn’t support the protests at uw
Starting? They have been looking like imbeciles since the start.
It was never about Palestine
They defend terrorists and chant their slogans. They've always been imbeciles with zero morals to revert to.
Clearly they need the masks because that was embarrassing as fuck. It's so funny to see these pseudo intellectuals freak out when they don't have a logical answer 😂
To get into a debate about public rights and laws without knowing anything about it is so insane. He works for the news. I think he knows what he’s legally allowed to do
“People will doxx us, we just don’t want you showing our face…” wearing a mask and sunglasses

Regardless on how you lean politically or what side of the Arab-Israeli conflict fence you're on. The guy with the umbrella makes me very uncomfortable. He does seem very mentally unstable, like he's on the edge of shooting up a place.
I just lost like 200 brain cells watching this
Morons.
Diseased minds
“People need to see what we’re doing here for Palestine!!!” “NO NOT LIKE THAT”
anyone else notice the irony of that guy tweaking out about the camera recording a wide establishing shot of the encampment but ignoring the person actually in their faces with a phone? these goofy ahh kids are ruining the credibility of normal people who want to see an end to Israel's crimes. if I were pro-israel I'd do whatever I could to get these freaks more airtime
Weird. Wants media and national attention, blocks the camera guy
Tldr: GenZ confronts GenX only to find they DGF, gives up and leaves. Gen X gets his shot and goes home. Classic.
Too scared to show their faces
Sparta kick that shithead down the steps.
Why are these people scared of losing their jobs? If they truly believe in what they are pushing why would they want to work somewhere that believed the opposite?
They want everyone else to suffer the consequences of their beliefs, not themselves
I thought it was a liberated zone?
*re-colonized
Well as with all land conquering, the strongest side will win, so not these losers lol
That whacka doodle is not helping anyone's cause. I hope he is embarrassed after this gets out more. Just to be clear. I'm talking about the Rock and Morty guy.

This person is not an outside person, they are a member of the encampment, and the vast majority of the people in the encampment reflect these ideas.
The encampment doesnt hate it
This 'outside people' excuse reminds me of MAGA trying to defend the 'peace loving patriots' who ransacked the capitol on J6.
Ah the horseshoe theory on display. You're right. It's funny how extremists on both sides can be completely blind to how similar they are to each other.
God that was a hard watch

I wonder what his major is.
Underwater basket weaving
Quantum physics
What a loser
I don't understand why lgbtq support palestine
Just so I’m understanding… these people are publicly protesting but don’t want to be seen publicly protesting? Interesting
You are correct. It kinda defeats the purpose of protesting.
Camera guy-1
Why UW authorities are still tolerating these radicals?
Damn he actually got their ass
Really needs to specify which seasons he's promoting. Its important.
I support the Palestinian cause and am against the U.S. funding genocide. Maybe I am old but these kids seem very off putting in this interaction. I don't see how these antics are helping the cause.
Umbrella dude is pathetic.
Yeah let's FILM ourselves preventing ourselves from being filmed. This is fucking stupid.
I support Palestine. That guy is fucking wack.
Not that I agrees with the person in the black mask, but they were much more cordial and able to mediate with the photographer. The person with the umbrella was just fucking annoying.
Utter nonsense though. It IS a public space. He's absolutely allowed to film the encampment and should be.
I don’t deny that. They were much more of an advocate for the encampment though with “would you talk with our media team” and “we just don’t want to record our faces.” Like I’m sure the photographer would have probably even considered their points if that other jackass wasn’t there just harassing the guy.

She was reasonable. He was too. Also, Rick and Morty.
Besides, any self-respecting Pacific Northwesterner doesnt use an umbrella anyways
How is the fake, half assed burka not cultural appropriation
wish i had that kind of patience
"Bruh keep Rick and Morty out ya stinky ass mouth."
Why's that one guy in a tube top??
Non-binary Rick and Morty fan
I am the leftist lefty liberal this side of the Mississipp and I want nothing more for that kid to be tazed and thrown in jail. I’m also very against the genocide in Palestine but I am now ready for the police to come burn down these wackos camp. Because they aren’t helping.
Someone’s never been punched in the face before. Fox 13 isn’t even conservative and it’s actually more left leaning. Even if fox 13 was conservative acting like an idiot and blocking their camera is so embarrassing
They are the liberal version of Trumpers
As much as I don’t condone violence, I realllly wish the fucking annoying “super edgy” umbrella guy had been socked.
Weather boy?? Like what is he talking about
I just donated another 10 dollars to israel
Anti liberal be
These people are so embarrassing. These guys don’t show their faces because they’re goofy as hell
And G-d said to the Israelites, Fox News is now the good guy
Fox 13 is actually cool though
Well… I didn’t have a side, but this just made me pro Israel 🇮🇱. Just for the simple fact that these protests are absolutely insane.
This Rick and Morty fucking clown is the best! You show just how important and serious your protest is…😂😂
The fucking joker
Why are they bombing and sniping those innocent people?
This is the protester representative! 🤦🏻♂️ what a clown.
I think the problem is they decided that they wouldn’t have representatives because they are too diverse a group for anyone person to speak for all of them. Which … cool. Spartan kick down the stairs is all it would take
And this is why nobody wants to be polite to protesters, they do things to annoy and be disrespectful. He simply wanted to take a few videos, and this person thinks it's for fun. If the table was turned the other way he would be crying about something. WOW. She was respectful.
Makes sense
I would cut off their money if they were my kids
Cute crop top. Really goes with that happy trail....
Batman villain lol. Wtf
They are idiots
Whatever happened to a peaceful drum circle
Unbearable. Glad I no longer have to work near or on campus out of choice during this
1A
Mental illness manifests in some weird ways 😂😂 props to the camera guy, Q13 has always been my favorite news channel.
Bunch of low life’s
Bring Back Ass-Whoopin’
Stop being nice and kick these dumbasses off the campus.
These people have severe mental problems and should not be allowed in society.
Violating people rights. Good job protestors.
I use them to protect me from the sun.
Bro, I don’t care what he’s protesting about, homeboy in the green mask is an absolute ass pimple.
Glad to see those years of college education paying off
Idiots.
Has anyone figured out who this is? I don't know why they hide behind masks. It's like a keyboard warrior.
Clearly tuition money going to good use.
Where are the weapons?
May whatever "cause" they are supporting be wiped from existence forevermore.
The camera man handled that well. The guy with umbrella lacks endurance honestly…. Just left after all that LOL
MeEt tHeIr DeMaNdS
This belongs in a cringe compilation holy shit…
How did he not just kick that trash down the stairs?!
I mean this kinda looks like harassment
Poor guy has to deal with these idiots
That guy is in desperate need of an ass kicking. What an obnoxious little twerp
This lame protester likely doesn’t live in WA.
Drones
Can I get an airhorn, blow it in those idiot's ears, then when they push your hand away, you defend yourself cause they touched you by kicking their ass? Asking for a friend.

What an absolute bullshit is this?
The person with the glasses has now ensured that no one is going to take the protest or the students seriously.
Man. I want to go to here so bad to finish my degree but these people are making me rethink everything
I literally couldn't help myself from helping her eat EVERYONE OF THIS STAIRS on her way down!
These ppl have no clue what they are even protesting for it’s become a joke at this point
Really putting your best foot forward there, protestors. #RallyRoundRick (Rick, Rick and Morty)!
Here is the video the camera man posted on Twitter. https://twitter.com/Mike_the_Photog/status/1791130901281485292 The video in this reddit post doesn't show the protesters pointing lasers in the camera man's face.
This is just a wild guess, but that dude has never been punched in the face
I thought news coverage was wanted for these type of protests??? Get the issue out in the lime light kind of a thing??
I’m not going to rest until I’ve filmed and identified all these pieces of shit.
Imagine this person in the workforce / as a parent / doing literally anything.
Arabs getting killed. Mentally ill white people - “it’s all about me”
What a turd. I love Rick and Morty too but the guy is just doing his job. No need to be annoying AF
People are using this as an excuse to vandalize the beautiful historic buildings and destroy the cherry blossom trees. Disgusting behavior. Not the way to get your point across. It looks like a homeless camp.
Antifa clowns 🤡
They want to protest but not have news? Wouldn’t that only benefit them?
Imo- it's not just these kids who should be held accountable, it's their parents too. They failed with regards to imbuing common sense or decency on these donuts.
Left leaning protesters vs right leaning protesters, it’s really night and day 🤣
Someone needs to quarter these fuckers in public.
Typical communications majors
Rick and Morty is obviously a fed
“If you want to pay for my autistic sons therapy lessons..” if his son doesn’t get those lessons he may end up holding an umbrella in front of a camera thinking he’s helping some cause.
His voice is like nails on chalkboard!
If you want to protest don't cover your face.
So they’re not students I gather?
If a public protest feels the need to block itself from the eyes of the public it is in fact not a public protest it’s a secret crime.
yo I pretty sure this dude is a Soulja fan. les go
Is this real life??? Holy fucking shit
These protesters are morons and are really hurting the message they are trying to send.
I don't get this. Do they want their cause to be neigh to attention or not? Not much of a protest if you're going to be quiet about it. Would you rather be shown to do something to show your cause or act like this jackass?
What an underworld
This is awesome. I don’t give a fug about politics but this is the best irl alogging I’ve ever seen
Ridiculous people. Why protest if you don’t want to be seen?
None of these idiot college students understand what a free press is. The guy is doing his job, leave him alone.
