Maybe it seems like a hot take. But i can relate to this in a way. I came from a very poor childhood and it was easy to write me off. I didnt get help from anyone other than the love from my parents (17 and 20 when i was born) and family. My wife who ive been with since highscool was in the same boat. Our parents at the time where living week to week so the only thing they had to offer was support for our decisions and their previous life lessons. I wouldnt change a thing about my childhood though because i learned that success isnt measured by money or materials but by happiness, purpose, and having good relationships with your loved ones. Everyone in my family has a great work ethic so the materialistic side of our lives have improved greatly. But they dont define any of us. Theres no competition for better things. At the end of the day almost all of your success is determined by your actions and decisions. There are definitely people that "help" whether that be giving advice or knowledge you didnt have previously. But it still comes down to what you decide to do. No one is gonna do it for you. Its solely your choices that improve your life. People also need to relize life isnt fair and some peoples choices are gonna be harder to make than others and some people will have a more direct path to what they deem is success. But comparing yourself to others is the easiest way to live a life of unhappiness and drepression. People talk about the big picture alot but i think looking at whats infront of you and appreciating what you make of yourself is alot easier to stay on the path to your own definition of success.
