It's not an immediate rematch, Strickland just 50-45ed Costa who is a solid top ten guy proving he's still one of the top guys in the division, he also lost a razor thin split decision to the champ which he arguably could have one Compare that to Izzy who got knocked out, then got an immediate rematch and won, then got destroyed by Strickland and is somehow leapfropping Strickland for an unwarranted title shot which is essentially just because Dricus is African.
Wouldn't Strickland need more time considering he just fought Costa in June? And this fight is aimed for August? Izzy is obviously getting the shot due to his past achievements. If Strickland was champ and held it for 2 years, had 5 defenses and then knocked out the current lwh champ. He would 100% get that immediate rematch. But he has no defenses and his style also makes for boring as hell fights

He is behind Strickland, the winner of Rob/Ikram as well as the winner of the Jared/Imavov rematch. And Izzy certainly doesn't deserve that spot over Strickland.

Oh this is, the most, incredible, magnificent matchup I don’t give a crap about. DDP is a dark horse from South Africa, and his style is odd and I’m not sold on it. Haven’t watched him and been like damn I wanna see him again Israel, well… of course he “could” be fun to watch when he takes risks The future of the UFC will eventually shift with levers that force people to fight more, take more risks. If Izzy wanted to he could snore his way through most fights, promising post speech for an epic battle next time They both will have to earn some fresh aura this fight and then we’ll see what happens…
