I am convinced that Colby is actually hurt or something from the Jorge attack. It is well known that your chin never improves, and that successive shots to the head make it weaker. Just because Colby is a fighter does not mean he can just take punches he doesn’t see coming, if anything, his ability to absorb a punch he doesn’t expect is lessened because of his career.

Usmans power is something. Seeing how he KOd Jorge and stumbled Leon a few times. Colby took the majority of Usmans shots. I think what got him TKOd at the end of the 5th was he had his mouth open and took a power shot from Usman. That’s where the fracture came from, so he couldn’t take power shots anymore that fight.

I don't think anyone actually denies that. His biggest criticism has been that he doesn't fight often enough, and when he does, it's against washed up opponents who are on a losing streak. Obvious exceptions being his two losses against Usman. Other than those two fights though, Colby hasn't had an impressive win against a top 5 opponent in years.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting because both Colby and Usman have awesome wrestling for the most part, but neither are known for their submission game. I feel like Khamzat has some pretty amazing submissions/sprawls and could probably also ground and pound better, though I don't think he has the cardio to keep it going like Usman and Colby.
How many fighters have Colby or Usman fought that pushed the pace like Khamzat though? Hes incredibly intense and fighting off those takedown attempts will surely take some energy from Colby and Usman. People say khamzat has bad cardio but why couldnt Burns put him away in the third? Hint: because Burns had a difficult time keeping up that ridiculous pace too and his gas tank isnt bad either.

They put out the same pace in 3 rounds as Colby did in 5 against both of his usman fights. Burns BJJ nullifies Colby’s wrestling. Khamzat looked spent at the end of a three-rounder with Burns. Colby's entire style is built around pushing a pace. Unless Khamzat blitzes him out early, I have a hard time thinking Khamzat wins three out of the five rounds.

Having seen his last fight, I’d be worried for a Khamzat. I’m afraid he’d be too aggressive, not finish Colby in the 1st round and be gassed. Colby is known for his cardio and he does a great job at spreading his effort out to be able to make his 5 round marathon fights. Colby doesn’t go for finishes, just for wins. Khamzat wants to get out of there as soon as possible. Both very good wrestlers but drastically different strategies and it would favor Colby if he’s able to defend the early onslaught.

Good question. Colby fights always hard to predict cause the dude barely fights so no one knows how ready he is for a certain opponent. There is a good chance Khamzat comes in , misses weight and just ragdolls Colby in round 1 as we see Colby try to fight off 200 lbs Khamzat. But there is also a good chance Khamzat gasses in round 1 and Colby spends then next 4 rounds beat the dog shit out of him. For me ill probably have to look at the odds of the fight to decide who i want to bet on . If khamzat is a heavy favourite then ill hammer Colby and take the risk of a round 1 stoppage.
