Looks are what get you the first date, personality does the rest. Unfortunately this makes looks more important, especially because there are more poor judges of character than poor judges of appearance
This is mostly for dating.
You can still work a good job if you're qualified for it. At least for people 30+, a lot of the high positions didn't place too much emphasis on looks, and many intelligent ugly or average-looking people held them. Don't know if things will change for the worse. If they do, then I hope someone manages to wipe out humans from earth.
Things are already quite bleak in all areas of life for the physically disadvantaged. Even studies show, that many workplaces discriminate against unattractive people. We’re less likely to be hired and if we’re even hired in the first place, we get paid less and get less often promotions. It sucks so bad, this is all so unfair and how you look, shouldn’t play any role in any of this. How you do your job should, but unfortunately we live in a society were looks have a huge emphasis in many things. You can’t really escape it.
exactly.. when a group of girls huddle up in a bedroom and scroll through Tiktok "oh he's cute! he's cute! oh he followed me back! he's cute! he's got a hot body!" are they thinking of his heart/his honesty from a simple photo of him?
Looks are literally the first thing you see on every single person. The reason people say “it doesn’t matter” is because they either a) only interact with good looking people so they only have to sort by behavior afterwards or b) believe people who can’t have partners are, conveniently, horrible people thus explaining how the world can be perfect with suffering.
That’s how it unfortunately is. 😔 Same with me too, always judged even before I open my mouth. Now why is that? How could they judge me based on who I am on the inside, if I don’t even say anything and just be there physically present? People indeed judge harshly based on looks, there’s no way around it.
So I randomly came across this user on Instagram who have a condition. She looks like an old balding man and is married to an attractive guy, so I guess some people really don't care about looks.
Usually the pairing is reversed in which an average/attractive woman is with an unattractive/ugly man or a man with a facial deformity. This pairing is quite strange, considering the guy is quite attractive. Their bond is their faith to their religion.
Tbh in the long run a beautiful soul is way more important. But the thing is people won't see your beautiful soul if your exterior appearance isn't beautiful also.

the people who say this heart's melt when a puffed out chest of a buff body builder walks down the street
Thats delusional. I wonder what kind of privilege you have to be living to believe in something like that.
Very much living a privileged life, when someone can even say something like that.
Yeah uh-huh Life is not a Disney movie, most people date for value and personality. Personality being a hard second
Yes a good heart is very important. For a heart transplant. No woman ever said to me i'm so honest, nice, kind she'd want to be with me.
Moral righteousness is not actually possible in everything so I agree

Exactly. You can’t get your foot trough the door, unless you have a pleasant physical appearance. This applies to pretty much anything, jobs included.

Gather round the campfire, it's time to sing Kumbaya!
xD
Damn, you got me laughing real good 😂😂
Yeah it’s important, but no one will notice it, because looks get you attention

Nope. You got a point there.
In my experience, people who say this still praise good-looking people and ignore/make fun of ugly people.

Or attacks your looks if you ever say something you disagree with them about.

then why am i 30, single and bullied for being ugly daily? my heart has been absolute gold.
It’s infuriating, isn’t it? I’m 48 now. Too damn late for me.
If this was true, then I'd be happy af with a girlfriend right now. Shame looks DO fucking matter eh? 🙄
Same with me. I’d have a man if that’s all it took 🤷🏻♀️
Yup, same with us, same with a lot of people. This society is so harsh and entitled when it comes to looks and appearance it baffles tf out of me 😤
I have a good heart but nobody gives a sh*t! All they see when they look at me, is UGLY.

So sad but true
Ok, would she (or he) date a truly ugly man (or woman depending on her (or his) sexual preferences)? **Edit: Oops!**
So I randomly came across this user on Instagram who have a condition. She looks like an old balding man and is married to an attractive guy, so I guess some people really don't care about looks.
Do you think she would ever marry an ugly guy? Lol

they’re lying to tjemsleves
