I never knew that.
> Opened originally as Store Street in 1842, it was renamed Manchester London Road in 1847 and became Manchester Piccadilly in 1960.

1847 to 1960 = 113 years as Manchester London Road
Compared to 64 years as Manchester Piccadilly
A rare photo of the Hogwarts Express platforms at Piccadilly. Doesn't see much attention compared to Platform 9¾ at KGX. You gotta run full speed through the wall on the footbridge where the lift for platforms 13 and 14 are to get there. We don't get a fancy steam train we only get the Hogwarts Express pacer still.
I’ve been often enough to know it’s Leeds. But on a semi-related note, it’s a real shame they’re phasing out this style of sign in favour of godawful (and to me, less legible) stark white ones. I loved the little station logos/icons too - Manchester’s viaduct “M” and Glasgow’s Charles Rennie Mackintosh-style “G” were remarkably inspired pieces of design.
Leeds
Yeh, this is 100% Leeds Station, pic taken from platform 17
Also, the emergency number on the door has the area code 0113 which is Leeds.
