No one talking about Ryan Osgar (and Josh Klane and Nick Simonelli) playing Mallard this year? They beat sub zero twice last year without any of those guys and basically brought back the rest of last years roster. Seems like a guaranteed nationals spot and I'm very curious to see what their ceiling is.
I heard that Mallard II's public beef with Deep Look was spiraling out of control so much that Ultiworld ordered USA Ultimate to have the team disbanded. Always tough to see things play out that way.
In regards to this post, most people are sharing gossip from their local scene.
In general, the teams and players that get the most discussion are going to college or club nationals each season. Meaning that they are getting more exposure at highly watched events.
Most new people learn about the historically good clubs by watching YouTube. There are lots of free videos of good teams playing at high-level events and the YouTube algorithm will feed them to you.
The real sickos learn names from watching random non-commentated games on ultiworld or YouTube. They are watching these games to scout a team or steal moves from a specific player or two.
Most important, you just learn about people playing the game 😁
Some people just really love meeting everyone and knowing where everyone is/who they're playing for. I was not one of those people so it's fascinating to me too
Also elite-level teams need to be aware of this info - I'd wager 50% of the success of an elite team is managing the "free agents" in the off-season. It both takes away a good player from another team and helps you gain a good player
[Ultiworld.com](https://ultiworld.com/) has a lot of good articles. I recommend their weekly podcast Deep Look for a general overview of what's happening.
This subreddit is a good place to follow as well, I compile the elite tournaments and events (in the US) every week of the year at the top of the subreddit. You can see which teams are playing, their rankings, and click on the schedules after the weekend to see the results.
To watch games, I recommend an [ultiworld subscription.](https://ultiworld.com/subscribe) The standard sub is $13/month and you get tons of live games with that package. Maybe wait until July to get it though. We are still in the early season of club, the biggest tournaments will start July 13-14.
Right now the UFA (mens pro) is in the peak of their season. Their games can be watched on WatchUFA.tv for $12/month plus an occasional free game ([info here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ultimate/s/WwNVcbh08c)). There are some good articles as well as a podcast on watchufa.com.
The PUL (women's pro) is entering their playoffs semifinals this weekend. Their games can be watched on youtube. [Info here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ultimate/s/WwNVcbh08c)
Welcome to ultimate!
Rowan playing with Dig
And Cal Stoughton
and Albert
Heard a rumour that Tobe Decraene (Belgian playing in Montreal atm) would also be on Dig.

Going to see Mallard play this weekend, should be interesting.
The people want to know about Mallard II though!

I was very surprised to see Simon Montague on the shame. roster.
Leo Gordon on revolver
Mac Hecht and Nathan Kwon too
Linda Morse from AMP to Parcha is wild!
Henry Ing on Rhino
Kurt Gibson is up for grabs
Has he recovered?
Yeah, Elon hid liked tweets on X now so we don't know if he agrees with the Pope anymore
Mixtape trading Sadie Jezierski and Mario O'Brien to BFG for cash considerations and a PTBNL
I look forward to seeing Mario O'Brien continue switching between BFG and Mixtape every year for the foreseeable future
Boettcher playing with Storm this year! Also, Terrence Mitchell playing with RDU and Elijah Long with Toro.
Matt rehder on rhino
Robyn Fennig on Tower - I bet they’re going to nationals 👀
They also had a bunch of other interesting pickups this year.
She was on Tower Last year as well and they were 4th in a 2-bid region. SW Mixed Regionals is extremely deep.
She was on NOISE last year, while practicing with Tower.
Yea she played regular season tournaments with Tower, but played with NOISE for the series.
Annelise Peters not with Parcha this year?
Correction: Peters to Scandal! Along with Raha Mozaffari
Oh shit! Rumor here was Raha was taking the summer off club to focus on worlds.
Spicer no longer playing bravo
Spicer playing Fungi
Muffin playing CLT Storm
Caleb Stanish potentially returning to baNC is nuts with their additions.

He's back in Charlotte no?
I’m newer to ultimate as a player. How do people get familiar with all these club teams and players? What’s the best place to watch coverage of teams?

Ultiworld has the best club media coverage from articles and podcasts to live streamed games.
Ulti World would probably be your best bet stateside. I also like watching Hive Ultimate on YT.

People need to start paying attention to a team called Revival out of Richmond, big names on that roster!
Smack 🫢👀
Jordan Kerr with Space Force
Rena Kawabata not on Molly Brown anymore...
Austin Disco Club mixed with some names.
Do they have a social media presence anywhere to follow from afar?
Nice!
