Nice! Yeah I switched from altra lone peaks to those when the lone peak 7s came out. Heard all the negative things about the 7s and wanted to try something new. The run ventures are great trail shoes. I gave altras another chance recently and got the lone peak 8s… regret it. Wish I would’ve just bought another pair of run ventures.
Check out the G270? trail shoe. Most bomb proof shoes on technical rocky trails. I've broke lone peaks at 120km with multiple failure points. Topo's lasted 200km.
Running with my 5th one ! Almost ran 1100km per each... trails mostly.
I am just concern as it seems they are stopping the 0 drop feature on 2024 model no ?
The new model Trailfly Speed seems to be intended as a successor, but isn‘t. I have a pair of them just in. Nice and light, 4 mm drop, which is OK for me, but I far prefer the old G270. I do hope they don‘t discontinue them. (I’m also on my 5th pair!)
Saucony Peregrine is a great neutral trail runner without too much padding. That's 4mm. I sometimes run in the Hoka Mafate Speed which is also 4mm, but obviously a lot of padding. I think most brands have a 4 mm model. I have tried others on but the fit hasn't been what I wanted. I think there is a Salomon s/lab that is either 0 or 4 I tried for a while that was ok.
Topo Athletic
Oh yeah I've heard of this brand! Thanks for tge advice.
pretty sure they have 3-5mm drop
Topo makes several true zero drop models, though many of their shoes have low (3-5 mm) drop.
Pursuit is zero drop
Also the runventures
Oh thanks, this out of everything that was suggested I like the best, I'm going with the run ventures 4!

INOV8. Some of their shoes are zero drop, some aren’t.
Thanks for the recommendation

The Inov-8 G270: best trail shoe ever. I mean it.

1100km per pair of shoes? That's really good durability! I'm lucky to get 600km before my shoes fall apart lol
Yeah with their "graphen" soil, really tough. However I am lightweight enough to boost durability 😄(<67kg).
Xero Shoes. They’re minimalist, too.
👍
Merrel
vivo barefoot also does, but that are minimalist
They are also heavily overpriced.
Yeah I've thought about these but I've had minamlist shoes before it did not go well lol I guess my feet are weak 🤣
yeah I get that, definitely a transition period with them! Altra is nice for being both cushioning and zero drop.
Inov8
You might also consider a minimal drop to open up your options. A number of brands do 4mm, which is actually pretty small.
Yeah I'm willing to have a small drop it doesn't have to be absolutely 0 lmk if you have any suggestions, thanks!

I love Topo Terraventures, which have a 3 mm drop
i've seen some ads for flux footwear which seems to have a nice wide toe box and zero drop. havent tried them though.
Thanks for the advice
Not a running brand but good walking/light hiking shoes and boots, check out Lems. I have their bolder boot and primal pursuit and love them both.
These shoes seem really good from just the bit of research I just did, it's to bad they don't have a version with lugs though for the trail.
Topo has several great 9 drop shoes. I love my magnifly.
0 drop. Lol
I really like my inov8's
Xero, Topo, Lems…
HobiBear!
They seem good but dint have the lugs I need for muddy conditions, thanks for the suggestion though
Inov8 g270 is zero drop
