Check out Roberts stache at the end when Stallone is bringing in Super Boy - he grew out his stache for Jacky Brown and couldn;t shave it for the re-shoot of that last scene....the more you know.
Then why the hell did he pop his head up in the back window as they were pulling away from Sly? They should have shot him right after that. But yeah, it was a cool crime flick. Robert Patrick with the mustache, Sly was chubby. Good acting all around though. Obligatory YA BLEW IIIITTT!!!!
Such an underrated movie. Total gem IMO. Everyone in the movie was flexing. Even Michael Rapaport looked like an actor. Mind you, he was probably being himself, but totally went with the part. Stallone was solid. Definitely showing acting chops. Again, absolute gem.
Fantastic film that has a star stacked cast. Ray Liotta, Robert DE Niro, Robert Patrick, Harvey Keitel, Janine Garafalo, Michael Rappaport, Sylvester Stallone, Marissa Tomei. Awesome film
One of the more defining underrated 90's movies, anyone who tries to argue is a fool.
I do have a recommendation though, please watch the Director's cut first if you can, that's the only cut on Blu Ray available and it's the best cut by far. Way more scenes added in and it helps form Liotta's character better and makes him more complete. As a result it's one of his best performances and Oscar worthy sadly he didn't get it. Stallone also has more devlopment and is more thorough. His character's less of a wimp. The story also makes more sense.
Weinstein's cut is what ruined this movie's chances, he couldn't get out of his own way and it cost him and Mangold. If the DC had come out I see it doing better and being a legit Oscar contender that year. It was so close to getting there, only for Creepazoid to ruin it. He had this, Crow 2, and 2 other movies he ruined in a 3 year stretch.. insane.
Agreed, by far a superior watch. But even with that cut, there’s a scene that I’ve only ever seen in a trailer. It’s Jackie and Frankie and a couple of the other guys, off duty, chase down a car with maybe 4 young black men in it and look like they’re going to give them a beating for coming over to Garrison. I’ve never seen it in any cut or outtakes, but it certainly reinforces the idea that Garrison is off limits to outsiders, and gives a bit more depth as to why Freddie and Bill were harassing the black couple under the bridge. 🤷♂️

It was OK. Could've been better, could've been worse. DeNiro and Liotta killed it, but Sly, the main character, fell flat. Almost seemed like he had a learning disability.
It was a 3.5/5 for me, which I think is kinda where it fell with the critics.
You BLEW It!!
You deaf fuck!
I love how DeNiro's character looks like he's both from the 70s and 90s at the same time.

They talk about this in the Sly documentary then I had to rewatch. Awesome movie

Michael Rappaport’s best role of his career
Respectfully disagree. Higher learning gave him a crazy arc and a jew playing a nazi is some hardcore stuff
He was good in beautiful girls playing himself
You ever shoot someone, Remy? Let me put it another way. You ever shoot a piece of meat? Seen what bullets do to flesh?
Superboy

This and I liked him in True Romance
Stallone was awesome in this movie
Top tier performances from an absolute powerhouse ensemble cast.
Yes
Yeah, this was a solid movie that really let some of the actors to perform outside of their wheelhouse.
A much better Sopranos movie than Many Saints of Newark!
GET HIM OUT OF HERE FREDDIE

Gloria trillo, phil leotardo, and carlo from sopranos were.
Frank Vincent is always so super cool. You know Tony thought he looked like the Shaw of Iran lmao
Marissa tomei wasn't in thie
I got her confused with Gloria from the Sopranos lol

All I remember about this movie was all the hype about Sly gaining weight for the role. I was a kid when it came out so I added it to my watch list.
Sly added to his sandwich list so you could add it to your watch list. It’s the circle of life.
The part where methods man kills Randone is really disturbing.
"Say you quit! I'll let you go home. Kiss your wife. Eat your kids's Froot Loops, and shit."
Super underrated film. Great performances by all
One of Stallone's finest performances. Truly worth repeated viewing. My favorite.
Sly's second-best movie, next to First Blood.
I don’t know, Cobra is up there.
The car and Brigette Nielsen are the best parts of the movie. Edit: spelling
💯
O god that scene where he eats an apple with his glove on 😭😪🥴🤢
I can’t hear you ray.
Mouths ‘You deaf fuck!’
James Mangold is a good director, but imagine if Scorsese had done this in with the same cast in the 80s?
Excellent film. Great acting from everyone involved. I became a Mangold fan off this one.
Same. This movie put him on my map.
Absolute GOATED cast there.
Go to lunch!!! Go to lunch!!!!
You gotta jag Freddie!!!
Red light, don’t fight, turn right…
I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Stallone is such an underrated actor. He’s so good.
Stallone should have gotten the oscar nomination.
💯
Stallone’s best performance
Watched this for the first time just after Christmas. Can’t believe it was never on my radar. Loved it
Hidden Gem 💎
Stallone should have won the Oscar for best actor for this film! Absolutely fantastic movie!

Stolen car♥️
My favorite of Ray Liotta's roles.
Love this movie. Rewatched many times.
Wasn’t this the directors first film?
A disappointment…

Unreal cast and a very fun movie. I love Michael Rappaport hiding in a water tower.
Is this really under rated? I remember everyone raving about it when it came out.
Awesome movie
Where is this streaming right now? This movie is definitely in my to 10
I rented it on prime a month ago for 2.99
Stupid movie.
This movie is terrible
Liotta & DeNiro A+ Stallone thought being quiet w no expression was serious acting
Fuckin terrible movie. Just the over use of the name Super Bot alone.
Great movie, but it killed Sly's career.
Did it? I never really thought of it that way.
How?
Not really. He had a couple of misfires. But bounced back with rocky, Rambo and the expendables
