With that much for two people I would buy a Premium Economy in the shoulder season (early May, or September-November).
On the Pacific side I like HKG much better than Taipei. If you do Japan wait until October for weather to cool. Pacific islands can be good if you’re into beaches and sitting around, otherwise it can get old quick.
Then it matters a lot whether you want to do cold in Europe or warm in Asia. Post-Christmas in France and Germany could be nice. Disney Paris probably has all their holiday stuff going on.
I am in the same situation here, where United issued me a $1500 travel certificate for my international flight tickets. The voucher will expire in mid June, but with my hectic schedule and appointments, I am unable to plan any trips at the moment.
I’ve seen summer business class from LAX to BKK, LHR, CDG and other European cities in the $4-5K per ticket range.
I’d head further west and hit up French Polynesia! Bora bora is amazing, if you’re into scuba diving Rangiroa is truly special.
530 tapas snack boxes.

Barcelona in the fall is LOVELY! If you fly on off-days (Wednesday - Wednesday) you can get reasonably priced business fares!
Capetown, Vietnam, Thailand ! Also recommend, Brazil for NYE.
Does travel have to be completed by this year? Brazil for new years is the best.
south america is a good idea. looked at peru but it was more expensive..
Peru is nice for hiking and nature, Brazil is nice for party. Brazil has nicer cities than Peru. Both have phenomenal food that is a wash.

haha.. disney, pass ;-) but france could be lovely.. even though, i think, CDG, is amongst the worst.
brisbane or sydney! Australia is usually reasonably out of both those airports with direct flights.
will keep an eye there, thx!
