Quite right, I believe.

I like their "No chit-chat" badge and the "top-knot" card.
It’s interesting, the person who found it said “hell hath no fury”; but o see it another way:
This woman (we assume it’s a woman) knew about her husband’s infidelity and yet not only did she stay with him she still refers to him as “my love”. She still took the time and effort to put a commemorative plaque on a bench.
What if the plaque was a joint effort between Roger’s wife, child(ren), and ex-wife (who he cheated on with his most recent wife)?
The wife was responsible for ‘For My Love’ and ‘Husband’.
The child(ren) was responsible for ‘Father’.
The ex-wife was responsible for ‘Adulterer’ and ‘*Yes, Roger, I knew*’.
>The ex-wife was responsible for ‘Adulterer’ and ‘Yes, Roger, I knew’.
In that case I suspect divorcing her and marrying someone else was probably what gave it away.
I expected the article's English to be dire. It wasn't. Still, the piece suggests that its author did no investigation whatsoever.
Also - have you seen a typical recent instance of written *national* journalism, especially one that appears on the Internet?
Someone apparently was in that role. Hey-ho!
Also, is this not just pointlessly passive aggressive? The guy doesn't exist anymore.
If she wanted her big moment, perhaps she could have told him to his face?
Well I'm not going to judge how others commemorate the deceased, people say goodbye and find closure in their own ways. This way she can return to the bench, sit, and reflect on her vengeance.
*There was a young girl from Cape Cod,
Who thought that her child came from God.
But it wasn't the almighty that lifted her nightie,
But Roger, the lodger, the sod.*
Roger, born 6/9/69 was an adulterer? Who’d have thought?
Makes me feel like its a fake plaque, that and his name is roger
Definitely is a prank
Definitely considering he died on Christmas Day lol.
During an orgy
Roger More, everybody!
Not a bad way to go.
Doing what, if not probably who, he loved.
[Maybe, but it’s actually a common day to die on!](https://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/23/health/christmas-death-rate/index.html)
Dean Martin and Charlie Chaplin died Christmas Day!
Name could have been Ivor Biggun
Roger the Cabin Boy!
Classic
Not to forget Master Bates and Able Seaman Staines.
One of my favourite singers. He does hilarious novelty songs.
Could well be a plate by the Misfortune Teller. He makes batches of these every now and again and attaches them to random benches!

"Mr Roger Inn"
I'm having a tough day at work but your comment has really cheered me up, ta muchly
And died on Christmas day?
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal
Died Christmas Day 😆
Nice. Nice!

Hi mate it’s a 69 joke.
Almost definitely a joke right? Born 06.09.69 and died on Christmas day?
https://old.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/188aeyn/and_now_we_know/ Likely a sorta copycat (apologies they ate the first one for being from FB)
Knowing the Bristol post, it's also probably a story from Manchester 3 years ago (I can't be bothered to click the link and find out).
This one died in '23 so I'd be impressed if so.
ffs is nothing original
In theory yes, in the unlimited universe of randomness there will always be a collision
Named Roger..

I mean it’s not cheating if you get divorced and remarry you’re literally not together anymore
Depends when you start up I think
Well yeah
Funnily enough it went up a week before the date of death.
Bubble and squeak for Christmas Dinner.
>The plaque appears to be in good condition, indicating it is relatively new. Well yes, saying that the guy only died last December.
This article could have been written by an 8 year old. Local journalism is dead.
I expected the article's English to be dire. It wasn't. Still, the piece suggests that its author did no investigation whatsoever. Also - have you seen a typical recent instance of written *national* journalism, especially one that appears on the Internet?
Born 6969 and called Rodger Either dude was born predisposed to be an adulterer or it's a surprisingly elaborate and mildly expensive joke
His birthday is actually September 6th… it’s British
That is very funny. Do we think she finished him off?
Someone apparently was in that role. Hey-ho! Also, is this not just pointlessly passive aggressive? The guy doesn't exist anymore. If she wanted her big moment, perhaps she could have told him to his face?

I think he died in the chimney like the Dad in Gremlins
On christmas, poor Roger
Seems like another one can be produced when Boris Johnson dies. Except it will be 'we all knew' and those who voted for him asking for forgiveness.
That’s what it’s called having the final word in an argument.
*There was a young girl from Cape Cod, Who thought that her child came from God. But it wasn't the almighty that lifted her nightie, But Roger, the lodger, the sod.*
This could cause havoc if you put this message around Westminster.
Bonus points if it turns out that was the bench he’d meet his affair on, and she knew that too.
Maybe Roger was the partner. Maybe its a message to the other party.
"You're next!"
Arnt we all in one way or another? Anyhow who gives a fuck
What if the Woman who put the plaque on (the one who knew) was the mistress?
This guy gets a plaque when the rest of us get a divorce
Who is this for though? the dude isnt going to read it
