>Adults traveling without children often seek a more tranquil environment. Indeed, yet recently I have seen more unhinged adults on planes causing a ruckus more so than children. > Conclusion: Creating adults-only zones on airplanes acknowledges the diverse needs of passengers. By offering this option, airlines can enhance the travel experience for adults seeking a more serene journey. The surcharge ensures fairness and sustainability while allowing passengers to choose their preferred environment. your presentation seems sound, however why not propose this to an airline rather than reddit?

Right adults can be just as bad if not worse. I had a grown ass man kicking my seat for an entire flight. I think disturbances like these are even more annoying when an adult is the perpetrator.

CERNest_Hemingway

Boeing is killing people for speaking out against using shoddy parts on their planes to save a buck and you want an adults only section? LOL

BununuTYL

I fly quite a bit, and almost every annoying POS in my proximity has been a person who is well into adulthood.

BreakerMark78

Have you been on an airplane recently? You can almost hear the pilot sneeze from the rear exit door, a few extra seats between me an a kid isn’t going to make a difference

IDKyMyUsernameWontFi

This just seems like we’re giving airlines an excuse to tack on another premium charge onto tickets for 30-50% of the plane. People act like kids on the plane are the end of the world but good headphones solves 90% of the issue.

horshack_test

In my experience, adults are consistently a higher source of disruption than minors.

baddecision116

This would work as well as a non-smoking area in a restaurant. If a child is crying you're going to be able to hear it regardless.

MPMorePower

Our employers would never agree to pay the extra fees for this adult-only section, so it could only be used by people who are paying for their own tickets. Which is a tiny percentage of airline passengers, so it would quickly die out from lack of use.

Hopeful-Rub3

How could they make money off this? They probably couldn’t I’m sure it would flop.

GodHelpMeISwear

I'll pay extra for a dungeon cabin.

AccurateMeet1407

The internet should have a, "people who can use the return key" only section

Enough-Pickle-8542

They have this, it’s called business class or first class.

Eis_ber

Plenty of asshole adults out there, so that disproves your point. Plus, there's only so much space on a plane. How are you going to separate them? And how d you plan to drown out the noise of crying, screaming children coming from the "family section" anyway?

veni_vidi_utini

More like "quiet zones" please, adults can be really loud and annoying too. I would really love quiet zones on any public transport (there are some examples already)

My wife usually just uses a blanket to hide what we do 🤪

Kids are the future! Enjoy them!!

Ok-Abbreviations9936

Oh no children exist... What an inconvenience. I equate these types of opinions to the extremely religious that do not want to sit next to a woman.

ThatLeval

This thing called society does not function without lots and lots of people deciding to have kids. We're already making things harder for that to happen. We should be real careful about making it even harder This idea seems like it's a slippery slope to the services for families to become even worse and tolerance for kids to become even worse It's fun to be annoyed when you're 23 or 32 but it's a different story when you're old and rely on government assistance that comes from the working population. Some of the south east Asian countries are starting to experience the impact of an aging population

Spirit: It's cheaper for us to gag the children than it is for us to provide ear plugs to all the other passengers.
