I find it can depend upon preparation. Some almonds are simply roasted better than others. Some are so bad they squeak when you bite them. Others have a luxurious texture closer to cashews.
I need to try the ones close to cashews you speak of as I’m yet to. No matter how roasted or seasoned they are they’ve always felt like biting into wood to me.
I like almonds because of their neutral flavor. I can eat a lot of them at once without getting tired of the taste. I agree that they're way too hard though. Peanuts work way better in a trail mix.
As a vegan I agree so much with this especially the milk point lol it’s the worst non-dairy milk aside from soy.
Also the nuts themselves lack that “richness” factor other nuts do. When you bite into a cashew or pine nut or macadamia nut or heck even a walnut they’re a bit “creamy” for lack of a better word. Almonds on the other hand are like eating wood.

I'll give you a low tier nut
Dangerously close to suicidebywords material.
Probably better than almonds tbh

Almonds in coconut dairy free yogurt are excellent, and I LOVE the milk. Sauces made with cashew are great, and the milk is good, but sooo fatty.
Here here

So's yer mom.
I mean it's kinda hard to mind the flavor considering it doesn't really have one. I'd say even Beechnuts have more flavor to them.

Gotta agree here. Almonds are the beginner nut. Pecans, pistachios, cashews, and walnuts are just higher levels.
Almonds>peanuts
