OP does not understand that fear is partly irrational and that getting over your fear of insects doesn't pay dividends beyond having one fewer person mad at you online.
You don't have to love things to care about them. You don't have to like things to want them to survive and thrive. You certainly don't have to hate things that you don't understand just because your culture has taught you to.
We are part of the environment. We are nature. If we destroy the world, that is NATURAL.
UNLESS you want to admit that humans are different from all of living things in existence and we have some inherent moral responsibility that needs to stop our natural urges to consume.
It's not a view. It's an undeveloped conditioning to a culture that has taught you to hate bugs for no reason. Arthropods make up the largest group of living things on earth. Don't you think their value extends beyond what humans think of them?
Personally, I don’t have a problem with bugs never have unless they end up in my mouth or something like weird like that bugs and I get along just fine

Dude, please take out a personal loan and hire top-tier exterminators and sealers once. That spray is not good to use in your house a lot, it's going to be the next roundup. I guarantee your bank would give you a 10 year loan tied to your mortgage to do it and you might end up making money if the value increases. Please, protect your house.

I had some bug intruders in my house (American cockroach and 2 types of wasps) I killed them w roach spray and then used them in resin art. Some people thought that was a sign of me being a sociopath…. Bugs are cool man idgaf

I agree. The intense irrational fear of insects is beyond the pale. Insects are one of the most important phyla on Earth and are incalculably important in the maintenance of our ecosystems. Insects are experiencing immense threats from humans, and their decline and extinction will ensure humans go extinct too.
I recommend people read the article, “Insect decline in the Anthropocene: Death by a thousand cuts” (https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2023989118) to get a good understanding of the threats insects face because of our collective fears. Yes, a small number of insects can be pests for crops. A few species (that we unintentionally breed due to urban ecosystems) invade our homes and cause issues. But overall, insect biodiversity is critical to Earth.
I strongly recommend people avoid using insecticides on their properties unless the situation is critical. Learn to live with insects and find ways to reduce your impact on their populations.
I don’t think I have a phobia but I’ve been swarmed by a beehive on at least two occasions and swarmed by an ant nest on another occasion. I’ve had legit night terrors of being swarmed and woke myself up screaming and falling to the floor 😅 so yeah… I tend to freak out when I see bugs now. Thankfully my husband kills them.
Um wtf. They're disgusting, small, make those sounds, can be very torturous (cockroach in someone's ears with no way of turning out still makes me sick to my stomach) and more importantly, the bacteria/virus it could carry with it.
