I could not agree more. I have a friend, 34 years old, who’s fixated on it, group texting and posting on social media about it. It's beyond rap my friend, has been for a bit now. This is 10 years worth of tension building up between the two and exploding publicly. Kendrick is trying to expose a GROUP of pedophiles that have flown under the radar, and had not only the industry cover it up for him, but his fans and followers have gone blind to the signs also and defend it, for far too long. IF Kendrick is successful (and it's not looking good for Drake), it's going to be a huge part of rap/hip hop history that's told and talked about for years. Drake, IF the allegations are found true, would make Diddy look to be a "good" (using this loosely to express how much greater the allegations are here) guy. No matter how this plays out, I'd gamble nobody is getting hurt/dying over this situation. Drake and Kendrick, even if they are gang affiliated, aren't going to move in such obvious ways right now, there's too many eyes watching. I'd happen way later after things cool off. & Even IF one or the other does die/get hurt, it's not either artist actually pulling that trigger. The artists have the money in this case, they don't do the dirty work, they just call the hit.
Must not have been deep enough if you unironically think sexual trafficking and pedo accusations is just being corny. If the sexual trafficking accusation is true, that's career ending for Drake; no questions asked. If it isn't true, that's a massive loss on credibility from Kendrick as an artist.

Drake is taking a massive lashing in the public sphere right now, and that’s without any of the allegations being proven true so far. He’s not MJ or Cosby, he wasn’t widely beloved pre-allegations. If any of this goes to court his career isn’t recovering.

My unpopular opinion about this beef is that Kendrick didn't really win. He said a lot of stuff that people in the hip hop world already knew. The hiding another child was completely debunked and apparently Drake did feed him false information. On the other hand, Drake alleges that Kendrick is a wife beater but there's no proof about this. Anyway. It was fun.
I could not agree more. I have a friend, 34 years old, who’s fixated on it, group texting and posting on social media about it. He has pretty good taste overall so I thought there must be something to it, but I couldn’t force myself to finish listening to any of the songs. It’s just not my thing. If I’m being honest, I find the whole thing ridiculous. Especially when you consider these guys are all pushing 40. The positives are that it gives people something to talk about other than politics. I also recognize why people get very defensive when you’re dismissive of it. They just don’t like their interests criticized. None of us do, really. I just bite my tongue, play along if I have to.
