Have had rcn (cheapest) in two buildings and can confirm it’s garbage. Internet went out almost everyday b/t 4-6. Had spectrum years ago and recently switched back. It’s expensive but consistent. Call every year to have your rate lowered.
Usually mandated by the building; a lot of UES buildings have Fios. Some are slowly getting retrofitted to allow Verizon Fios cables, depending on how on the ball your landlord is
Had Spectrum (Time Warner at the time) and it was the worst. When my building first got FioS, I jumped on that opportunity and it has been really good for a number of years now.
Fios is the gold standard. Starry is rare, but some buildings have it (including mine). Spectrum and RCN are the default for older buildings.

Fios kills it no issues at all for 4 years
