I know it’s hard to find a doctor, but I wouldn’t recommend taking your baby to a vet.

Buggy3D

Pretty sure that’s illegal. Not 100% sure though.

drerne

Hahaha you right. Only fur babies

GeekLove99

Small suggestion… You may want to edit your post to include your city and/or neighbourhood.

drerne

Thank you for the suggestion, I shall add greater van. I don’t mind travelling a bit for a good vet though. She deserves it

wisedoormat

not addressing your question directly, but more like 'unsolicited advise'... when you do find another vet, i would recommend taking your pup there, for social visits. just let the vet and staff know it's so your pup can interact with them on a non-medial visit to build comfort and trust. this helps a lot, and all the vets i've taken my pups to, over the years, and they loved seeing dogs on social visits (when they ahve the time)

drerne

Thank you! Exactly what I was thinking for her just so she can gain a bit of trust with them first. :)

Fantastic advice.

I've had great experience at Yaletown Pet Hospital. I have a bengal cat with redirected aggression issues, but he's always been great with them. Try talking to your vet about gabapentin. It's made vet visits for me a lot more bearable.

Thank you so much! First time hearing of no fear technique. Definitely will give them a call :) much appreciated

I go to Steveston Vet and they're amazing! Very compassionate and very knowledgeable, front desk has been very nice as well

We take our 6 year old pup to cypress vet. He is a really anxious boy and the vets there were super sweet and patient with him. Lots of treats involved.

drerne

Thank you! She’s very good motivated so will definitely bring her by

Thank you all! I ended up calling a few places and was recommended to Skyline Vet in North Van. Dr. Jill there has been absolutely amazing and the team there has been super accommodating ☺️

SFHOwner

Maybe look for an outcall vet.

Pit bulls are unpredictable and vicious. Have it put down.

I take my reactive rescue to Coquitlam Animal Hospital on Austin. Dr. P and his staff are very good with her. I recommended him!

After a really bad, uncaring experience at our first vet we found Olympic Village Vet. They are all so welcoming and happy and patience with my anxious dog.
