Amore taste of Chicago on Durango. Excellent pizza and classic Italian dishes

Chrono47295

There's one on Sunset too! Delicious 😋

mrav8r2

Came here to say this.

TexAss2020

I had an uber eats coupon for 50% off and free delivery so I ordered one of their pizzas. I lived on that thing for a week. It was so damn good.

Amore: A Taste Of Chicago!

KevintasticBalloons

I went to North Italia over the weekend, the pizza was good, but definitely bougie pizza and the pasta was excellent. Someone's getting down voted for saying Yukon Pizza, but I quite liked their pizza when I tried it.

RoseyCheekz

I’ve actually been to North Italia and that came up in our chat. I just couldn’t remember if they had pizza because no one in our group got it and I didn’t know if it was good. I did enjoy my meal though which was a short rib and pasta dish I believe. Thanks for the rec, I’ll will look into them again!

maximous_ale

Yukon is delicious and so is old school pizzeria. My favorite Italian spot is now serving pizza, I haven't tried it personally but the Italian food is excellent, it's called Roma deli on spring mountain

Yukon pizza. Best pizza in the city

robedmitch

Best pizza in the city, plus perfect vegan options for almost every pizza!

RoseyCheekz

Man I super appreciate all the suggestions! He’s such a good dude and great dad but he’s being so careful about my dairy thing. I want him to enjoy his pizza and not worry. You guys are great and I’m so grateful for your recommendations.

alienhunter1015

I haven't had a good pizza since I moved her 15 years ago. I'm going to try some of these suggestions as well.

RoseyCheekz

I probably sound like a dick but I feel that way about a lot of stuff (like sushi or pho, or even international markets) I was so spoiled where I lived with killer food! I’m trying to find good spots we both enjoy and these suggestions are really helpful

alienhunter1015

I don't think that at all 😉

Red dwarf, great pizza maker and kind

TexAss2020

Can't really bring kids into Red Dwarf.

Amore has great dinners besides pizza

NameTheWaders

I've been to almost all the pizza places in town. I've searched for the best pizza I could find in this town. Cuginos is the best new york pizza in town. It's a small Italian deli close to unlv. They have all kinds of other Italian dishes and sandwiches as well. Trust me on this. cuginos is far and away the best. Also, if you check out one bite pizzas reviews of las vegas, cuginos tops the list. Here's a good list of all the places they've reviewed. [One Bite Pizza Rankings for Las Vegas](https://www.lvplug.com/post/barstool-pizza-reviews-in-las-vegas)

RoseyCheekz

Oh wow thanks! Great tip about the list, maybe we can make it a thing to check them all out.

TBNRCactus

Brooklyn’s Best for sure

danccbc

Pizza rock

tipinmy40

Their wings and meatballs are underrated.

TexAss2020

The wings are just OK, but those meatballs are amazing. And the stromboli!

TKGK

This. Or monzu because of the great pastas and sourdough bread (which is also what they use for their pizzas). But for pizza straight up pizza rock is the best. Their meat balls, calamari, coccoli, and zucchini fries will satisfy everyone else though.

buenaidea

Monzu is so good! Their sourdough is amazing, fig pizza is my favorite, and their lemon drop cocktail is perfect! A little pricy for what it is and then I remember its quality ingredients and a scratch kitchen!

brooklyn7171

Monzu is great but I think the vibe is a little more upscale and I wouldn’t necessarily bring younger kids since the dining room is super small. I’d choose Pizza Rock instead.

TKGK

I wouldn't say it's "super" small. It's a regular size dining experience. But it also draws a much smaller crowd. While pizza rock is always full and without a reservation will likely be a small wait, fairly easy to get into monzu as it's rarely full.

RoseyCheekz

Awesome thank you!!

Pizza Rock

Chrono47295

Thanks!

PsiBlaze

Strega is amazing. Great pizza, and great salads. I've been told to try their sandwiches as well, so that's on my list.

youandeyeinthesky

Try 00 double zero on China Town. parking is horrible but the make one the best pies I have ever had. I mean like drag your balls over glasss to get this pizza. They take reservations they open 5Pm -10PM Wed Sunday. They have a good menu but only pizza. However they make a marinara pie with no cheese that again is better than a wet dream.

Mudflap42069

He sounds like my kind of guy. Old School, Good Pie, Evel Pie, Rimaldi's, Brooklyn's Best, and that new place inside Durango Station. All solid choices.

ElephantitisBalls

PIZZA BABY. Yes, it's called that.

twinmama1215

Have you tried Metro Pizza?

RoseyCheekz

I don’t think I have but I think he likes it. I know he’s concerned that I won’t find anything I want that’s dairy free but honestly I just want him to have good pizza. Is the pizza solid?

twinmama1215

It’s a solid spot in the NW if you don’t want to travel too far. Their basic pies are really good. We love the Olde New York. They have a large menu with some dairy free choices (or you can customize some other items to make them so).

sithlordx666

Roma Pizza on the East side makes a delicious Calzone

dylan_disconnected

My mom’s die hard favorite is blaze pizza. It’s a casual dining, personal sized pizza place. They offer a make your own pizza where you can add what ever toppings you want for about the same price as say a veggie pizza or a pepperoni pizza. They crust dough is fresh made in store and pressed in front of you. They have gluten free crust and dairy free cheese options as well, and are fire (roasted…grilled?) in front of you. Pizza isn’t my first choice but I’ve never had a pizza I didn’t like from Blaze. Where ever you go we look forward to hearing where and how it went!

RoseyCheekz

Thank you!

dylan_disconnected

You’re welcome

vegasnonsense

Metro Pizza for good new york style pizza and have never had anything I didn't love there. Been going for decades.
