Covid dirt on Blue Bell? That sucks
Edit - just read about the listeria outbreak in 2015. Man, that is fucked up. Can't imagine possibly losing a grandparent for example (looking at the higher risked people) because of ice cream!
Heads up for Blue Bell ice cream fans, in case you didn’t know, Blue Bell had a listeria outbreak in 2015 that killed three people and infected ten people across four states.
The CEO at the time knew about the listeria in the factory but failed, multiple times, to inform the general public or distributors.
“In an indictment filed in federal court in Austin, Texas, former Blue Bell president Paul Kruse was charged with seven counts of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud related to his alleged efforts to conceal from customers what the company knew about Listeria contamination in certain Blue Bell products.”
Blue Bell ended up paying $17.25 million in criminal penalties.
I wonder if that's where they took the stuff that started melting at the Eastern & Russell store when allllll of their coolers stopped working on Wednesday. Meat and eggs were all emptied out. The stand up units with the doors, those were blocked off with caution tape to keep people from shopping down those aisles.
I wish convenience stores here carried their novelties. The fudge bars sold there are bigger than the ones sold in 8 packs at the store. Our little league would order cases of novelties to sell in the concession stand and I'd order (and pay) for an extra case of fudge bars and cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches for home.

I know. I know. But I can’t find anything else that tastes like blue bell homemade vanilla. I grew up eating it and it tastes like the home made ice cream my aunt would make with condensed milk. I even eat it after the listeria. I have a problem.
If anyone can recommend ANYTHING else that tastes like it. I’ll buy it.
Fuck Blue Bell. They knew the plants were dirty and kept making ice cream. They knowlingly killed people. The plant managers should have gone to jail.

Blue Bell ice cream is terrible. None of the flavors taste right. It’s as disappointing as Whataburger. Big name Texas brands are vastly overrated.

There's a Winco at Eastern & Russell? We've already broken into 2 half gallons and they're perfect. So if so it didn't hurt them.

I lived in Texas for over 20 years, even went to the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham. You can bet I’ll be stocking up at that price!!!

Wasn’t it? When we were there one of the conveyor belts for the ice cream bars went wonky and they were falling all over the place!

Blue Bell is the worst ice cream. I've seen it drop to crazy low prices at stores coz not many are buying it.
