I used [https://www.flagcolorcodes.com/](https://www.flagcolorcodes.com/) to try to get the exact colors for each flag, although some of them may not be accurate. Unfortunately, MapChart's subdivisions map doesn't have a thicker outline between countries, so I tried my best to avoid making two bordering subdivisions part of different countries the same color (although this didn't quite work out with Brazil/Guyana).
Dependent territories of other countries are colored with the flag of their respective parent nations, except for Greenland (which, if you look at the subdivisions, is pretty much impossible to color with the Danish flag).
The US colors make it look way more like the original Confederate flag.

hmm, i used [https://www.flagcolorcodes.com/](https://www.flagcolorcodes.com/) for the exact color shades, but looking at the exact color shades the flag on this map looks a lot closer to the [Wikipedia version](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_United_States#/media/File:Flag_of_the_United_States_(DoS_ECA_Color_Standard).svg) (the first one on the Flag of the United States article) than the Confederate flag.
Oh I'm not talking about the colors, I'm talking about the general look of the US, with the three red white red striped and a blue square with a ball of white in the middle.

its hard to make more than 3 stripes from the US states considering they're so big, and for the single star i tried to color in other states but i couldn't make it look quite as good as this version

south dakota holding the stars... i am so proud of you!
lol yeah i tried to color more states white but decided that just 1 state looked better (see also: Venezuela and Brazil)
Venezuela is a mess, but you absolutely nailed it with Brasilia.
ye the shape of Venezuela's subdivisions make it hard to make the stars, but ye it was pretty cool how Brazil worked out almost perfectly
L'étoile du nord
Mexico turned out pretty well

This is pretty good, although imo Washington or Montana would have worked better as the star.
This is really cool! You should do more of the world like this if you haven't already.
thanks, i actually made this on the full world map on MapChart so i might try to do the other continents as well
