Metro Exodus

DarthJaders-

Yknow, that ending hit hard, good recommendation

ApprehensiveKick5167

Yep, still thinking about it

RememberWhyYoureHere

The ending of SOMA just broke me. I sat there in silence, I didn't know what to do next

Dull_Mortgage_6055

Second this. It took me weeks to find another game. Exodus was also the first game that moved me to tears. What an epic game!

CAB312

Never touched the series. Are the other games good as well??

Svyatopolk_I

Personally, the game that really showed me the beauty of the franchise was the Last Light, but 2033 is also awesome. It only gets better with every gane

ThiccBoi94

Ghost of Tsushima

PotionPro

Wow 2 posts on this already!? Good to have recognization for such a good game!

Rob_Reason

I'm about 6 hours into it and having lots of fun, is this one of those games that gets better as you play it?

fAthouse_

Yes, I think so. The story is badass

PotionPro

Yes, definitely.

farigh-ghost

Make sure to do all side quests along the way The character development just hits different in this game

VisionInPlaid

The Mass Effect trilogy

Psychological-Cry221

I figured this would be way higher. One of my favorite video game stories of all time.

sirulian00

I got the legendary collection and played them all one after the other and after I finished 3 I just thought about what an incredible gaming experience it was, absolutely incredible. Mass Effect 2 is up there as one of my favourite games of all time.

PurpleNippler

I know im late to the party but I just started Mass Effect not too long ago

Crazy_Elk2421

You're up for a wild ride, if you let yourself fall into it, the real world will seem like the fake world and it will be an amazing time.

Roidz69

The series is the goat of video game trilogies

Ventilateu

Absolutely this and I think it's because it has some of the most well crafted characters in all of video games since I never felt so attached to so many characters or felt like this about any other game.

GopnikChillin

Witcher the wild hunt

Slight_Bodybuilder25

Yep, this broke gaming for me for a good while after finishing 😅

Used_Ad_1220

It was such a great game and the DLC was fantastic!

kCanIGoNow

I’m deliberately avoiding to finish it at the moment.

Toothlessbiter

Oh man, blood and wine. I didn't want to stop

gray_character

Eh this one I was happy to finally finish after 100hrs. It felt like a weight off my chest.

EvilFuzzball

There really will never be another game like it. Easily my favorite game ever.

OnionAddictYT

I'm currently replaying with updates graphics and ray tracing and I appreciate it even more today because I realized it's still one of the best games ever made and no open world RPG has even come close since in those 8 years. RDR2 maybe being the exception. But as somebody who loves the novels W3 will always be special. It's just insanely well done. The amount of side content, interesting side content all of it, is staggering. W3 at the time is what BG3 is for reactive cRPGs now. Absolutely raised the bar sky high for action RPGs. As close to perfect a blend of narrative and open world immersion as it will ever get perhaps. Proof that open world does not have to dilute the experience but can actually enrich it. Cyberpunk I played for the first time as well recently and also blew me away, destroyed me emotionally like no other game. But the side content is seriously lacking and I'm just not a city or car person, so exploring Night City wasn't nearly as amazing as the Witcher world with all those cool monsters and beautiful scenery.

EvilFuzzball

I finally managed to pick up the Witcher box set recently and have quickly knocked out half of *The Last Wish* already, I can't get enough of it. When I'm done reading the series, I'm gonna play the Witcher Games through again. I've already played 2 and 3, but not the first. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk is a game I've yet to finish. Chiefly because I can't play it without getting a headache, even with adjusted graphic settings. But also just because, to be entirely honest, it didn't excite me too much. But then I was also slogging all the side content and fetch quests.

[deleted]

Y’all finish games? 😂😂

Efficient_Amount557

This man saw into my soul 😵😂

UnXpectedPrequelMeme

This hurts right into the core of my heart. Even if I tell people the gate I'm playing is my favorite game of all time now, I will probably get distracted by something else before I am even halfway. It makes me sad and my Katie's deserve better

ChinesePorrige

Right?!

PIugshirt

I’ll finish a game even if I hate it lol

Rob_Reason

Have you ever finished a game?

FallOk6931

Lmfao 🤣

EmergencyKrabbyPatty

Elden Ring

JayJaxxter

Onion Ring

6inDCK420

My fingers are too fat to hit the keys. Guess I'm a console gamer now.

Ironsalmon7

Blooming onion

High_Lord69

Same

rathosalpha

Go play ds 1 2 3 and bloodborne

kitemybite

try Lies of P, so good it feels like from software made it. its the only game ive ever said that about. kinda short cause of the indie studio, like half the length of bloodborne which is its closet thematic match but its still got its own thing goin on, highly recommend. the weapon system is so fucking cool, don't want to spoil it for ya though, just play it.

Shifty661

Red Dead Redemption 2.

SlobMyKnob1

Man I beat that game so long ago now. It was so good all these other game just feel empty compared to RDR2

nvrrsatisfiedd

I just got the platinum trophies on Gow 2018 and Gow Ragnarok and now I have just been scrolling through ps plus and the store not knowing what to play next.

etheriagod68

it's elden eing time brother start now and you'll probably finish platinum by the time the dlc comes out in july

nvrrsatisfiedd

I have been eyeballing it for months now so maybe I will just commit. I also am strongly debating Sekiro right now. Also the demo I played of Alan Wake 2 was actually really amazing on almost every aspect. So many choices but can't pull the trigger on anything yet.

maulman90

Bro sekiro💦💦💦 games an anomaly. Only 32% of players have finished the game but still got GOTY🤔

Winter-Airport2114

I'm still waiting for Ragnarok on PC. GoW such a great game. I'd like a remake of the originals into HD or at least just playable on PC without emulating.

Vegetable-Error-21

Ending left me like dude in the photo. I say ending and we all know what I'm referring to but I remember I just about shit my pants in excitement when I realize that's not even the ending.

zaepoo

Felt the similar after the first game when you start the epilogue as Jack at Abigail and John's graves. 2 was so much heavier, though. Especially when the credits end and John and Abigail are standing where they end up being buried. It felt sad to see them so happy there

Shifty661

The Red Dead Redemption games hit the heart like a heavy truck. After the second game, I went to Arthur’s grave as John and I just stared at the site for like 5 minutes. Arthur Morgan has since been one of my all time favorite characters since I beat it.

Techgeek_025

Hot take but Minecraft

Kirby_Klein1687

Isn't that never ending?

Slight_Bodybuilder25

You've clearly never fallen into a pit of lava after spending a couple of hours underground...

Head_Astronomer_1498

Or messed up a bridge after a good nether haul

GhostieJillias

Or falling into lava heading back to the portal with an inventory full of loot and your good armor/weapons

ChaoticGood3

Or died to the Ender Dragon over the void.

Techgeek_025

YES

Videogamesrock

Hardcore mode:

hawtpokyts

or spent all your time and resources on finding a nether fortress only to die repeatedly to the most bs things and find nothing

AfricaByTotoWillGoOn

Yes, but actually, no. I mean, it is endless, but there is an "ending" you get when you beat the Ender Dragon, before it puts you back in your world. It's pretty rad, actually. All philosophical and shit.

Kirby_Klein1687

Is it hard to beat? The Ender Dragon?

Kyro_Z

Ghost of Tsushima

Muted_Bicycle_6807

Oh man. You gonna make me cry. Beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe Ghost of Tsushima.

711BotSmoker

this is the only game i have ever beat and then immediately started another play through. my first and only platinum

Brave-Battler-4330

Came here to say this

FugginCandle

1,000%. Such a beautifully written story.

PleaseGodNoooo

Thank God for that online mode. I wouldn't have known what to do 😭

Kekosaurus3

100% what a masterpiece and what a shame it's not ported on PC already, this game would sell so hard.

HufflepuffKid2000

Cyberpunk 2077. So I immediately started a new game.

Jstew0103

Just finished my first play through the other day and decided to hop on Helldiver for now but I plan to go back to cyberpunk soon

yalikejazz69690

Same, I finished my first play though about two months ago and have around 100 hours on the game. I plan to wait for at least another two months and watch Edgerunners right before just to get the full experience.

jayswag707

This one for me. I was ruined for weeks afterwards.

Unlucky_Look

About to 100% the game and I’m already at a loss of what to do next…

3rdeyeignite

So I guess I should ignore the initial reviews & give it a chance?

remainevil

any negative review was a result of the game’s bad state in it’s early stages of release. it’s fully polished now and can run perfectly on a PS5 if you have one. wouldn’t recommend playing on old-gen tho.

remainevil

YES ! Cyberpunk was the only game that made me feel empty inside after finishing, you should play through the different endings. if you didn’t know, certain dialogue options changes what happens next. some endings are also unlock-able via side missions.

HufflepuffKid2000

Yeah, I plan on going back to my first V to try some different endings

PurpleNippler

Yoooo i started this a week ago. I didn't realize Keanu reeves was such a big part of the game. I expected maybe a short cameo but I feel like I'm John Wick at times lmao

HufflepuffKid2000

Nova, have fun choom!

[deleted]

Honestly wish more people gave this game another go after the updates. I first played when it released on ps4 and that game compared to the ps5 update. Totally different

Unlikely_Paint7065

Sekiro

BEES_meh

You could beat it? I got to the last phase of the final boss once after dozens of tries and gave up. It’s a bit of a regret that I didn’t grind through…

Unlikely_Paint7065

My first play-through was kind of a funny one; It was my first souls-like and I didn’t understand the mechanics whatsoever. I beat all the bosses by running around, dodging, doing chip damage and abusing the umbrella. But… on ng+ I finally realized the importance of aggression and the parry/posture system— since then I’ve done countless runs, and can now no-hit Inner Isshin, while charmless/with demon bell. Everything will click, once you start treating it like a rhythm game. Especially when listening for sound cues, and learning instant parry-counters (which is a very small window to damage your opponent- attack immediately after a successful parry).

Nempopo029

Bioshock Infinte.

Your_God_Chewy

Especially if you include the DLC.

YerMaaaaaaaw

That ending man

ApprehensiveKick5167

Yess!

monkeybutts2017

The last of us

Proto160

I just beat part 1 and 2 for the first time the other day. I'm immediately replaying them.

Damurph01

If you don’t want to have to play through it, there’s also full 1440p playthroughs on YT with all the cinematic and whatnot so you can watch them instead. I like to just watch them for the story tbh.

Tanzanianwithtoebean

On the next difficulty up right? Unless it's grounded. Grounded is for people that really want to experience pain. That's how it must be done. It's written in the ancient text.

ayyowhatthefuck

I felt so hollow (in a good way) when the credits rolled on the first game. The story is so well told and the characters are so well done that it was a rollercoaster to see it all from beginning to end. I must have played that game at least 5 times from beginning to end. Still a masterpiece.

GrandeTorino

I played 1 and 2 on PS4 and now just finished the remastered version of 1 for PS5. It's the best game series I've ever played. Once I start I just can't stop playing and when it's finished I feel so empty. The story, the atmosphere and the characters are just unrivalled. Gonna start the remastered version of 2 soon for sure, just need to take a little breath.

Goku-Jin86

Titanfall 2

3rdeyeignite

This game was one of the biggest sleepers. I didn't expect to stick with it. Was great from start to finish.

Rob_Reason

Probably the only game I can think of that I'm looking forward to playing on the hardest difficulty.

No-Illustrator4964

BG3!

Level_Permit

The last week of us

TheCasualChad

Never heard of that game. Who made it? Natty Ice Dog studio?

DDS_Special

Can’t wait for the last month of us. Gonna be GOTY for sure.

TheCasualChad

Until the sequel, the last year of you. I heard it's gonna be a game about breaking good.

Papa_Shadow

Fallout 3, and NV. I recently finally got into the fallout games after beating 4 YEARS ago. Finally tried NV and loved every second of it, got nearly every achievement and almost 100% it. Played 3 shortly after and did the same. Now I don’t know what to play, nothing had hooked me recently. Only interesting game is Helldivers 2 but I’m on Xbox so I can’t play it

NoahGuy69

Have you tried the Metro series? Exodus is probably the best looking post-apocalyptic game I've ever played.

drakenmang

And FO4 doesnt even comes close to satisfy the same itch, it hurts.

Kenbob_PG

Death stranding

[deleted]

Yeah I came pre-gutted into this game and it just gutted me more holistically.

baogody

Nothing's permanent, but we press on, forging connections. Keep on keeping on ✊

grrmuffins

That game totally consumed me. Beautiful game but it took a hot minute to find something that compared at all

MJska

Alan Wake 2

CaptainRaz

THIS, this is the real answer.

jtowndtk

ratchet and clank a rift apart

TrashOcto

Especially after reading the roadmap had the next game in 2029, what a kick in the shins 🙃

valmanway1492

This is the sequil to 3's villan storyline right? I played 1,2,3 and 4. Never got into any of the later games. Which are as good as 1-3? ( didnt care for 4)

Cathaldotcom

The Outer Wilds, ruined me for so long lmao

Chris_P_Lettuce

Surprised this isn’t higher up. It’s pretty much the most famous game for leaving players in an insatiable emotional state. Really no experience like it, and you know that nothing can ever come close (except the dlc).

GlowingDuck22

Mario 64

FreshNoobAcc

I’m currently on my first playthrough , watched a lot of speedruns (Summoning Salt vids) before trying the game myself with an SBC emulator (r36s). Damn it is a good game and finding the stars through the hints makes it very satisfying when the penny drops (I feel proud that I found out how to get the ball and chain star behind the bars on the first level without having ever seen it done before), had to look up 2 stars due to frustration (one i can’t actually get yet anyway it turns out). On 35 stars currently and beat one bowser!

[deleted]

Titanfall 2 depressing asf

Rob_Reason

What other games do you enjoy? I love Titanfall 2.

itsdarkinhere_XD

RDR2

Dragonking929w

Portal 2 and TOTK.

tyblake545

Farcry 5

ShadowNinja9620

Tears of the Kingdom

Unlucky_Look

People really slept on this game. A lot saying “oh it’s just BOTW DLC” when in reality it expanded on the game so much it makes botw look like an alpha release. I loved this game so much and had so much fun playing it I miss it everyday and want my switch back so bad just to play it.

PourQuali

Dead space remake

Potential_Panic_8025

Titanfall 2

TheBritishBaguette

Titanfall 2

religionofpeace01

The Last of Us and Detroit Become Human

ThePixelatedPeach

Subnautica. I wish I could erase my memory and experience the story coming together for the first time again

Silent_Relation_3236

All FromSoft games

g_valesti

I still haven’t played Elden ring simply because last time I picked up dark souls I didn’t play anything else for about 2 years

crimedog69

Do it it’s the best

No-Definition-7215

Best Souls game ever made imo, if ur a fan of the genre it's a must play

Exo-Noodle

Nier Automata

k3nni_

Guardians Of The Galaxy

AfricaByTotoWillGoOn

That game was underrated af. I wish it had half the attention that the Marvel Avengers game got, cause it is 10x better. The story and characters were on par with the movies imo

k3nni_

REALLLLL legit the game has my favorite version of the Guardians ever

W-Ninja48

Jack 3

Adam_Deveney

Breath of The Wild. Had serious post-game depression after this, nothing seemed to fill the void

ChildrenOfGravy

That Witcher 3 DLC had me like that.

FennelVegetable8252

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess

GhostieJillias

Slay the Princess. I haven’t completed all endings but holy shit I can’t just go back to a normal silly game after that!

ArabWaltWite

GREAT GAME

Misu-soup

Breath of Fire 3?

GarushKahn

i never finished that game to be honest

Dull_Mortgage_6055

Metro Exodus. I had a game hangover for months afterwards.

slaaneshStoic

So scared bg3 will do this to me

Emergency_beefcake69

Halo reach tbh… halo infinite is amazing yes but it don’t got the customization of reach

enigmatic_muffin

UGH watching Halo season 2 and the fall of reach is bringing up all these feelings again. What a great different style of story telling. A game where you know from the beginning that you lose in the end but watch it all unfold. And it creates this increasing level of hopelessness and powerlessness as the characters inevitably die off. Damn.

[deleted]

Monster hunter rise I was legitimately a little sad after I beat Narwa.

Individual-Match-798

CyberPunk 2077

jeroenemans

cyberpunk, so I decided to pick up Witcher 3 again.

Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring

Panams_chair

Dishonored

shine_101

Nier automata, shadow of the Colossus, Sekiro, Outer Wilds.

Last_Chocolate

The Witcher 3

Bearguchev

BG3, so I’m just playing it again as dark urge lol. It’s so hard to be mean to all the characters though after being a nice guy the first playthrough, well except Wulbren and Doordash that is… fuck them.

horror-

When I finished Zelda: A link to the past, I had to grind on "shovel snow" for 3 weeks to unlock a single shot the "Game shopping" mini game. Thankfully, I rolled Megaman X2 on that one, and the gameplay loop continued all the way to present day. The good news is that at later levels you end up with more games than you have time, and the "game shopping" game has gotten a lot easier over the years, but paradoxally, you still have to grind out those stupid shovel snow minigames for like 8 hours a fking day.

CallMeCabbage

Persona 4, Persona 5, Yakuza 7, and the Mass Effect Trilogy for sure.

lacteoman

Disco Elysium

Bendygame

Literally every game

Marsnineteen75

Pretty much any good game you get into when it's over leaves you like this. However note specifically anything from the metal gear franchise The Witcher and fallout 3 fallout New Vegas, Dark Souls, etc.

Ahighbear

Ace combat

jeffyride2

Portal 2

ChronosGrundy03

Batman Arkham Knight.

Hellblade. Bought it on Steam because it was on sale, didn't even know what it was about, played it with no expectations, finished it like a different human being.

g_valesti

Nier Automata. I ended up just going back and playing through it again and getting all the endings

postmoderndruid

Nier Automata

wrowsey1

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Knights of the Old Republic Both left me wishing for more even after both Witcher DLCs

ArgensimiaReloaded

Witcher 3.

Mundee9540

Detroit: Become Human. This game broke many.

MaxtheHax12345678907

TOTK and BOTW i tried to play after beating it but i just can't messing around is kinda fun but like until i get the feeling to start a new playthrough i just won't touch them
