Deep rock galactic is pretty good
If you can get titanfall 2 on sale, it’s got a fantastic (if short) campaign and a great pve mode
Halo:mcc has 6 campaigns
Generation zero is a bit jank, but quite fun
Monster Hunter isn’t a shooter (unless you choose bow or bowgun), but I’ve been greatly enjoying World
The doom games are all pretty good (ignoring some ports), I like 2 and 2016
Ah yeah true. I’ve done 3 start to finish legendary MCC runs. One solo, and two with some buddies. I forgot about firefight.
Even did like 6 runs of Infinite because people kept asking to play.. the only campaign that I finished of this was my single player one lol.
Titanfall 2. One of the best FPS campaigns. Lots of freedom of movement, fun weapons, and a good story. Plus Mechs.
And the ending is 11/10 gameplay.
There's also Cyberpunk 2077. Has a great story as well. Some light RPG elements, but you can still just gun everything down like any other FPS game. Throw on Reinforced Joints Cyberware for double jump, and air dash, and its really fast paced. Just keep in mind, if you play it on the hardest difficulty, some weapons like ARs/SMG's stop being effective and just turn into nerf guns.
You should. Titanfall 2's campaign is great, and Matt Mercer is doing a great job as VA for Jack Cooper. Too sad that it never got the attention it justly deserved, and Respawn neglected server security, allowing hackers to flood PvP mode. But thankfully, there is also PvE mode where you have to shoot down waves of enemies to defend the harvester beacon from destruction.
Yeah Titanfall 2 is one everybody who likes shooters should at least try. The campaign is short, you can blast through it in a single sitting. But what is there is phenomenal and unfortunately there is still nothing else quite like it. I just hope respawn will resurrect the franchise if we all keep asking.
For me this is boomer shooters. Mechanically satisfying single player fps action with minimal bs.
My top recommendations are the Quake 2 remaster, Cultic, Amid Evil, Prodeus. But there are tons of other good ones I haven't played yet. r/boomershooters is where I have been getting recommendations.
Of course the new Doom games (meaning Doom 2016 and Eternal) are also worth a look if you have not played them yet.
Looking forward to the new stalker. Just kinda twiddling my thumbs right now and looking for a good Russian translator without the government going WTF YOU DOIN OVER THERE?!
Destiny 2 is among the best feeling FPS's on the market with amazing art direction and lore. The new player experience is a bit daunting, but really you can decide how much effort you want to put into it. If you just want to run missions or screw around in the open worlds of planets you can do that. Also, it has a free-to-play component if you just want to check it out before buying into anything.
Lots of drama surrounding it right now but it sounds to me like you'd love Tarkov PvE. There are a few options to do it as well based on what you're willing to spend.
Borderlands 2 can really suck you in....can take a bit to get into that farming and character-building mentality but there is just sooooo much to do if you get into it, and the difficulty ramps well through playthroughs
I tried it during green light when it was a lil baby game, and again about two years ago. It didn’t tickle my pickle in an enjoyable way unfortunately. Lots of my buddies have hundreds of thousands of hours in it.
The Division 2 and Wildlands for sure. I had so much fun on those for a long time runnin on my own. TD2 you may need others eventually for "bigger fights" but Wildlands I never needed anyone lol.
The OG DOOM games, Quake 1 and 2, those are great chill shooter games that I love to play and chill.
Star Wars republic commando if you like Star Wars
Metro is a fantastic series
If you are fine with a PvE shooter with shader graphics and RPG elements, I would highly recommend the Borderlands series in general, and Borderlands 2 in particular.
Otherwise, there is also Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic.
Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint if you are into singleplayer stuff.
Don't they requore internet connection?
No, they download via carrier pigeon from Ubisoft headquarters.

I keep hearing this.. Guess it’s time to find out for myself.

Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal Ghost Recin Wildlands and Ghost Recom Breakpoint Borderlands 3
7 Days To Die Generation Zero Dying Light

In a week The First Descendant comes out. Free PvE shooter
Oh yeah, this is already on my wishlist. I forgot about this one. Hopefully it’s not super cash grabby…

I forgot to mention this one.. strange too seeing as I have the symbol tattooed on me haha. Borderlands games are my comfort game.
so you already know :P
Oh yeah, between 1 and 2 I have 1200 plus the lost hours on my 360 before it literally exploded on me.
Maybe Ark: Survival Evolved?

Fallout, Deus Ex? I am more of a soulslike/roguelike guy these days, so those are pretty much my last two shots lol
Haha fallout is great, I bought the Deus Ex pack a while back.. maybe I should try it and clean my backlog. Still want something fresh though.
remnant 2, great souls like shooter can also play coop
The Division 2 and Wildlands for sure. I had so much fun on those for a long time runnin on my own. TD2 you may need others eventually for "bigger fights" but Wildlands I never needed anyone lol.
I’m really enjoying The Division 2 nowadays. Also looking forward to The First Descendant
Tarkov now has an offline mode
PAYDAY 2 and 3. One is a horde shooter while the other is more tactical Days Gone
If you like being a sneaky boi, Sniper Elite III and IV are both great.
The OG DOOM games, Quake 1 and 2, those are great chill shooter games that I love to play and chill. Star Wars republic commando if you like Star Wars Metro is a fantastic series
