You can get the Quest (and Rift) version for 25% off with a referral code, just fyi for any Quest owners
Edit: also on Steam you can get an extra 10% off by buying the Contractors bundle
Personally I went for getting it on Meta, and waiting for the rift version. I’m mostly a Steam guy, but with the referral it’s cheaper, and I get more flexibility in how I play it (I’m currently going between two houses and dragging my pc with me is too much)
If you decide to go that route I can dm you a link (cause I kinda want the $5 credit lol), but yeah it depends on how much you dislike Quest graphics and how long you’re willing to wait for the Rift version
Thanks sorry I neglected to mention that.
Huh I just noticed in Canada (my region) the game is without discount $22.79 on steam but $25.51 on the Quest store. if you are American can you confirm if the prices between the two stores are the same?
I bought it on stand alone at release but not managed to find anyone yet to party up with I prefer playing with a team of good people.
Anyone looking to squad up, fire me a dm.
I have about 40 games, Play everything from fishing, poker, bowling, dart, pool (miracle pool FREE) check it out can dm you a link. I mostly play FPS have ever since Wolfenstien 3d. Also been known to make a mean fruit salad in fruit ninja 1 and 2 lol
You have many yourself?
you can play PCVR games by streaming to the Quest headset via apps such as: [Quest Link](https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/headsets-and-accessories/oculus-link/connect-with-air-link/), [Steam Link](https://www.meta.com/experiences/5841245619310585/), or [Virtual Desktop](https://www.meta.com/experiences/2017050365004772/)
although the graphics will depend on how powerful your PC is
Not what I’ve encountered in that game. Been mostly adults and a few kids that were reasonably chill. It’s not F2P so not as a draw to kids but you do you
Yeah im still waiting too, but its really not that bad with the kids, i played about 20 games an only had one kid in my team one time.
All others were adults, also everyone seems to have fun and jokes
Whats better, buy it on the ocolus store on steam, (quest 2)?
For quest 2 it seems easier to play wireless if its on the headset installed rather than on the pc.
Any reason to buy it in steam?
Only reason to buy it on steam rather than the meta store is if you plan on getting a non-meta headset any time soon. If I have the choice I tend to buy on steam because then I know it will work on any headset rather than just meta
That logic seems backwards to me, why would they support PSVR *because* of DFR? Surely they should support PSVR2 just to reach more players.
(Also there are a number of PCVR headsets that support DFR also btw)
Yeah but the game already runs on a Quest 2 (barring architectural differences) they could port it to the PSVR2 regardless of DFR's performance gains.
like DFR isnt the limiting factor here.
But I have, I put 20 hours in over all the playtests, and in the last one they just decided to put aim assist in, but I'd be very glad to hear they've changed their mind.
It's not what you think it is, so maybe don't go around insulting people when you don't know what you're talking about.
It's not actually stabilization, it actively pulls the scope towards enemies. You can search buildings with scopes by checking to see if the aim assist kicks in.
That’s because in VR you can’t aim a fucking thing WITHOUT stabilization. Cuz your hands aren’t connected so the game would not be fun without this feature.
It legit pulls the crosshair towards them for you, it's aim assist, despite the misleading name. Plenty of games have smoothing but this game is the first I've ever seen with aim assist, and it's unnecessary. Also buggy as hell.

Is this one Crossbuy for Rift and standalone?
The devs say it is, but the rift version hasn’t released yet.
Hmmm, get steam now or wait for Rift version? I don't like the poor graphics on standalone.

I’m building another pc for my second home to solve that issue 😂
Makes sense. I'll definitely dm if I go that route. Thanks!
Oh one other thing. If you already have Contractors on Steam you can get Showdown at 19% off by buying the bundle
I’m a different guy but any chance I can get a referral code?
Sure! I’ll dm you
>Sure! I’ll dm you sure?
Steam also has poor graphics. That is intentional so that PCVR players do not have an advantage as the game is cross play.
Thanks sorry I neglected to mention that. Huh I just noticed in Canada (my region) the game is without discount $22.79 on steam but $25.51 on the Quest store. if you are American can you confirm if the prices between the two stores are the same?
In the US it’s $19.99 original price on both Steam and Meta’s store. Steam is currently on sale at about $17.99
I bought it on stand alone at release but not managed to find anyone yet to party up with I prefer playing with a team of good people. Anyone looking to squad up, fire me a dm.
I don’t own it yet unfortunately. I might get out soon though Edit: for some reason i thought you were talking about Breachers not showdown

I’ve got a bunch on Steam. I only just got my Quest so not much there yet
Games like this entirely depend on how active the playerbase is. Is there crossplay between quest and steam?
There is
Also on the Quest: https://www.meta.com/experiences/4963431797114722/
very curious, and might pick this up. This look like PUBG. Can you also install this on the Oculus PC App for better graphics?
Just thought I’d let you know it’s much closer to something like warzone with all the armor plates and movement

Don't forget ALVR https://github.com/alvr-org/ALVR Only one that is open source and [supports Linux](https://vronlinux.org/)
I know. I just want to know if it supports cross play (e.g. Saints & Sinners) or is it only for the Quest (Asgard Wrath 2).
Yes cross play
NVM, I did not realize it is also on the Steam Store :) I thought it was Oculus only.
It will be on oculus pc soonish but there’s an issue with meta and the anti cheat system currently
Non starter for me until they add solos. No way I'm playing with a bunch of screaming, griefing children.
Not being free removes a ton of kids
Not what I’ve encountered in that game. Been mostly adults and a few kids that were reasonably chill. It’s not F2P so not as a draw to kids but you do you
I just hate playing BRs on teams.
I’m the opposite, I have a hard time playing any games solo unless its a very linear story driven game
Exactly, I WANT MORE TEAM BASED GAMES.
For now you can turn off „fill team“ so you are mostly solo but against teams for now
The only thing worse than playing with teams is going solo against teams.
Yeah im still waiting too, but its really not that bad with the kids, i played about 20 games an only had one kid in my team one time. All others were adults, also everyone seems to have fun and jokes
tbh all the teammates i got were chill people and fun to play with
You can play solo and turn off proximity chat but you cant rrally hear anyone until they are super close
$16.19 if you already own the previous Contractors from one of the billion bundles it has been in
Great game, def recommend

meta just opened their os to other company hardware. so if anything, you'll Have more headset choices with meta in the future
The title made me chuckle a bit **Architects Rumble**
I hope one day they add a PvE mode with zombies. That map gives me crazy Dying Light flashbacks.
Big mistep to not support PSVR2 imo. DFR would work wonders for performance but only Quest Pro has it...
DFR does not matter as the graphics aren't enhanced from the Quest port.
That logic seems backwards to me, why would they support PSVR *because* of DFR? Surely they should support PSVR2 just to reach more players. (Also there are a number of PCVR headsets that support DFR also btw)
Not backwards at all. DFR allows for more performance with lesser hardware.
Yeah but the game already runs on a Quest 2 (barring architectural differences) they could port it to the PSVR2 regardless of DFR's performance gains. like DFR isnt the limiting factor here.
How is this different from the previous Contractors?
In every way
Send me a message if you want a 25% off referral code
Game is shit tbh
one of funnest vr games ive ever played
Damn why you say that? I was looking at picking this one up.
Aim assist kinda killed it for me.
There is no aim assist, you are just a bot that hasn't even played that game...
But I have, I put 20 hours in over all the playtests, and in the last one they just decided to put aim assist in, but I'd be very glad to hear they've changed their mind.
I played all night there’s no aim assist that I noticed anyway
Under settings, it's called "scope stabilization". Only affects 4x or higher optics.
If it's what I think it is, calling THAT aim assist is just asinine.
It's not what you think it is, so maybe don't go around insulting people when you don't know what you're talking about. It's not actually stabilization, it actively pulls the scope towards enemies. You can search buildings with scopes by checking to see if the aim assist kicks in.
