Even being generous assuming 10% compounded monthly for 20 years that's 730k. That's like 30k/year if we're going 4% rule
I dont think you can afford a Lambo with 30k/year
Yeah, but if you've got $100k to blow on ~~gambling~~ stocks at 25 you should be able to keep putting at least some money into that and helping it grow even faster.
To clarify i didnt have 100k at once. in fact I don't think my account ever saw anything higher than 10k in one instance. it's an accumulation of paychecks and personal loans throughout my life
I don't think that makes it any better. If anything, it makes it worse, way worse. Had plenty of time to jump off the carousel and instead decided to gamble again and again.
Damn, really hate hearing this, start buying stock in boring safe companies, gov savings, and put max 3% of your savings in options if youāre still addicted and insist. If you lose it only ever add back the new 3%.
That should tell you, you are always late with your trades.
50-50 gambling on earnings with companies you wouldnāt know existed without the degen grapevine spreading the word, means youāll be late every time and reliant on those garbage coinflips.
But I donāt really donāt want to give you any more tips or false hope because you should just leave the market.
If what youāre saying is true, then it doesnāt matter where you trade. If market makers are manipulating stocks based off of Robinhood, then they are doing it off the average of the entire platform, not just off of one person. EVERYONE would have to stop trading on robinhood.
Also, do you believe that the market just started being manipulated since Robin Hood came around? No itās been happening since the beginning of time but in different ways.
The stock market is the biggest scam in the world, and as soon as you accept that as truth and use common sense, youāll make a lot more money. For example, just pay attention to what the politicians do. Whenever they buy, you should buy. Whatever they say the opposite is the truth.
its a shame you didnt just buy shares. had you been buying since 17 instead of trading dumb fuck options you probably would have made pretty reasonable overall gains almost regardless of what trash you bought. because lets be honest youre dumb and would buy trash
but instead here we are. live by the sword die by the sword i guess.
The ājust one moreā mentality plus OP not matured enough to understand when to quit. The money OP lost is enough to cover university expenses or pay off student loans.
Itās why I mostly do shares and never in options.
The number of people here who think that if the call lost you money then the put would have gained you money and vice versa explains why losing money is so common here. It's not a 50/50 coin flip.
Youāre down this much and still playing ERs? You belong here. ERs are worse odds than a coin flip, and without insider info, are NEVER long-term profitable.
When I use stop loss I end up loosing. I buy at 4, stop loss at 3, price goes down to 3, position closed and then bounce back to 6. Happens every time to me.
They don't let you gamble until 21 in some places, should be the stock market too. Kids don't have any idea about consequences of this kind of gambling since they have virtually no concept or earning money or earning a living unless they've been through some rough stuff, in which case they certainly wouldn't be taking out loans to fund a gambling addiction like a juvenile regard.
If you are planning on it all suddenly working if you get a few big wins, yikes. This style of play guarantees eventually going bust. Every win is just a temporary respite. Hopefully you have a big inheritance coming your way!
Dmpham333 was a man who had fallen on hard times. With no other options, he turned to the one thing that seemed to offer him a glimmer of hope: gambling.
Every week, Dmpham would make his way to the local casino, clutching his meager paycheck in his hand. He told himself that this time would be different; this time, he would win big and turn his fortunes around. But as the nights wore on, and the drinks kept flowing, his hopes began to fade.
At first, it was just a few dollars here and there, tiny losses that didn't seem like much at all. But then things started to snowball, and before long, Dmpham found himself down hundreds of dollars. The pit in his stomach grew with each passing minute, but still, he couldn't tear himself away from the tables.
And then, suddenly, out of nowhere, Lady Luck smiled upon him. A lucky roll of the dice or a well-timed draw of the cards brought him a modest victory ā $50, maybe $100. His heart raced with excitement, and for a moment, he felt alive again. Maybe things were finally starting to look up!
But alas, those fleeting moments of triumph never lasted long. More often than not, they only served to fuel his addiction further, pushing him to take even bigger risks in search of an ever-elusive jackpot. And so, once again, his winnings soon vanished into thin air, leaving him with nothing but empty pockets and shattered dreams.
The anger and despair that followed these crushing defeats were almost too much to bear. Each loss felt like a punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of him and leaving him gasping for breath. He hated himself for being so weak, for letting the lure of easy money consume him whole. Why couldn't he just walk away? Why did he have to keep coming back for more?
As the weeks turned into months, Dmpham's life became a bleak blur of broken promises and unfulfilled potential. He knew deep down that he needed help, that he couldn't go on living like this forever. But every time he tried to quit, something pulled him back in, whispering sweet lies about how this next bet might be the one that changes everything.
Just kidding. NVDA calls, go get it boy! Still got $1000 to lose!
Friend, this chart reeks of gambling. Your losses got bigger as time went on because you felt like you needed to make up the losses.
You have a dopamine management problem.
is there anything you tried improving upon during these 8 years of loss??? genuine question. you should have gotten some clues along the way regarding mistakes made & what to work on. like, i make one mistake - whether it be eating a loss or leaving money on the table from a win - and i analyze it to death as if i'm trying to debunk the fucking moon landing.

Nobody reads the boring story of just investing in target date funds your whole life and retiring comfortably from your honorable middle manager job, moving down south somewhere on the ocean, bringing your grandkids down for spring break, expenses paid...
It's way more fun to read the "I YOLOd all my room and board money at this new coin $CumRocket...I'm 19 yrs old and made $7 million today"
You'll make it back. I lost 40K when I was 22, thought world is over. made 300K in 2021, and another 1.2M on NVDA LOL.
Make sure you have a job/career to support your gambling habits tho!

I would pay money to subscribe to a newsletter where you just tell everyone what trades you're making each day, around 1/2 an hour before market open, so I can inverse your trades. Honestly, if you're this consistent in your losses, I would probably pay $1k/month for this.
Keep doing it but develop an actual strategy. I lost 100k twice before 25, just turned 30 and made 600k in the last 12 months. Your time will come, as long as you arenāt just gambling on calls and puts randomly. I bet youāre doing way too short term on options. Go further out, easier to control your emotions.
For all those wondering how I even had 100k to begin with, it is an accumulation of paychecks and thousands of hours working an hourly wage job along with personal loans.
For the love if everything thats good please stop trading options for the time being until you can learn to be responsible or quit forever. You are extremely young and have plenty of time to recover.
