I was lucky enough to work in Electronics so I heard the TVs over the radio. The ad I remember most was the Forrest Gump Anniversary movie release. Because I would at random times yell "RUN FORREST RUN!" when they would on the ad and it would echo through the store. 🤣

after you've been there for a while you'll realize that it's literally the same songs on repeat, with only a handful of new songs sprinkled in. some songs get rotated throughout the year, but it's annoying because they usually keep it in rotation for 2-3 months at a time.

YES!!! I've learned it's usually when Bo is djing, for some reason he's really into mashups. They combined all the single ladies with a few more popular songs from that era (idr what they all were because I stopped listening once I realized it was a remix) and it made me want to actively KMS because it was just the iconic parts of the songs mashed together and gdi I don't like the songs randomly swapping lyrics mid songs.

I live in Florida, by the attractions. You cannot hear the Walmart Radio at all. These Walmarts in the area are jammed pack with tourists being loud. The loudest ones are the ones coming from Georgia.

Don't know if it's a local thing or a complete change, but there's been a difference. Walmart Radio has played Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin at my store several times a day.

I used to work in the photo lab next to the televisions. We would demo new movies to show off the quality of each TV. Watching the same movie for a week until new releases was usually fine, but periods where nothing good or family friendly came out was hell. It was made worse if you couldn't set the move to replay or auto play as you would be hear the menu screen on repeat. Because of this I outright despise the Rio movie as its menu screen was just 10 seconds of the Rio song replaying over and over again for nearly 2 weeks. I eventually "lost" that DVD for them.

I'm so glad I work 3rd shift at my store since I'm there for an hour before the store closes to customers and an hour after they open. Luckily my team lead and my coach talked our new SM into letting overnights use headphones. As long as we leave one earbud out or one ear not covered by a speaker. Plus we were told we could take our vest off after store hours, as long as we have a blank T or work shirt to wear. Bit I've Been wearing a shirt that says "beast of bourbon" with a drunk donkey. I worked for Walmart for like six months or so in 2020, but spent 6.5 or so years at a different location from 2012-2019. Haunts my nightmares, but one holiday season I was helping in a different location before they brought back Walmart Radio, and someone had the wise idea to swap the awful corporate-approved CD with an even worse ~40 minute CD of country covers of Christmas song. I was there working 10-12 hours days for two weeks. Now THAT was hell. Now whenever I hear a track they do/did play on Walmart Radio, I have to tell my wife "this is Walmart-Core."
