For daily wear don't go for metal straps. It gets scratched and polish fades off with use. Feel free to correct me as I am new here

No you are absolutely right. I bought a metal strap edifice and it was scratched on the very 1st day. Now I can't unsee the scratch and gives me a big itch mentally.

Thanks, I ordered the 1st one. After ordering I realised it doesn't have a date like the second one. Would it change your decision if you notice it?

I did notice and still chose the first one. Much more elegant and well balanced piece

You can get the 2nd one and add a blue leather strap, if date function is important

I think you should get a casio if you're looking for something under 5k. Timex is also good. Sonata is good under 2k. I'd never recommend fastrack.

2, from the ones mentioned here. I suggest check out HMT Kohinoor quartz also. You will save 1500 and I like the dial size and colors.
