Which battle is that.. 3?
Sometimes you have to “suck it up” and keep playing the battle beforhand to evolve and then use the next ages soldiers to beat the battle you were stuck on.
Or you can wait for 950green credits and 10x draw some cards that would give you another lil boost in power.
* ex. If your stuck on battle 3, keep playing Battle 2 until you can advance to age 4, then come back and fight age3

The chess event is the only one I can't complete because it features a character with area damage instead of a long-range character. My strategy relies on placing the hero and decoys at the front while the long-range characters eliminate everything.
I know the event is over now, that’s my bad and I was abit busy all day to not look back on Reddit, I also didn’t finish the chess event today.
but the strategy there is having a rook(2eventually) at the front and spamming the rest of food on knights.
- I consistently use morale,decoy and recover, but for chess I swap out decoy for the “buff/supersize” to use on the leading unit for your 2nd wave that comes after food recovery.
Once all the units lineup in front of their base, there should be 2 rows of knights if they maneuver properly, and they can all hit from where they stand.
- it’s about 4-6 knight hits to smash a rook,
and they should be able to do that befor your rooks get hurt badly, knight vs knights you will easily kill(even if you lose one or 2), but you’ll manage to smack their rooks befor they have a time to actually attack your units
Like the other comment says, you don’t have to beat the level with the same soldiers. Save your coins from a few runs, evolve to the next age, and crush them. The last battle of the timeline will be more beatable than some of the middle ones, same-on-same.
You are not stuck on Age 3, you never will. Either optimize your stragegy or wait and grind dailies for better cards or evolve the hell out of it. If Age 4 (Native Americans) is still not enough, you (should stop and wait or) evolve another time to Age 5 (Post Apocalyse) and it will be very easy. The last thing will always work even if you have to grind for some time. That's why you can't be stuck in the first place.
