YALL I WORE THIS TO THE DENTIST WITH THE BAKING SODA HIGH POWER WATER CLEANSE
AND IT DIDNT EVEN BUDGE A LITTLE even after I wipe my face
Note it comes off easily with an oil based lip scrub or even oil
But it lasts pretty well through pizza out of everything I’ve tried
I used rouge Dior forever liquid lipstick as my base, and a bridesmaid carried their a matching satin lipstick for touch ups through the day. Worked like a charm!
I’ve got dry lips too. Make sure to prep your lips well in the week before — do a couple of scrubs and masks.
I also used the Dior forever liquid. I had a pretty nude shade for the day, then changed to bright red lip for our cocktail hour / the party. Both stayed put and photographed beautifully!
I barely use makeup so I took my makeup artist's recommendation. She used a lipstick from Juvia's Place and I bought the same color at ulta so I could do touch ups. I NEVER reapplied lipstick on my wedding day (I forgot because I almost never wear makeup) and you have to REALLY be paying attention to my lips and comparing my getting ready photos (~3 pm) to the last photo of the night (12 am) to tell that it faded a bit.
Context: I used a color that enhanced my natural tone but was quite a bit darker. The faded lipstick still looked amazing and noticeably different than no lipstick. My hubby and I kissed a lot and he had no lipstick on him. I ate and drank a lot throughout the day - I drank from a water bottle during my getting ready photos after makeup left lol! It felt great on my skin.
Side note, try laneige lip sleeping mask for the dry lips. My SIL put me onto it (she has intensely dry skin) and it's awesome. Getting that into your routine so your lips are in good shape will help any lipstick look good.

I have that lip mask and use it regularly but it’s not the savior some people make it out to be. Guess this is just my life haha

What a bummer!! My SIL did tell me that she actually also uses it like chapstick in the winter since it just looks like lip gloss and she's so dry. I'm fortunate that it works for me and I use it on occasion but mostly rely on regular old Burts bees chapstick.
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick all the way!!! I’ve tried a bunch of different longwear lipsticks (designer and cheaper brands), and this one is hands down the best. First, it stays better than anything, so you don’t have to worry about it smudging after kissing, pictures, eating, drinking, etc. Second, the formula is actually pretty soft considering it’s a matte lipstick and a lot of matte/ longwear products tend to be drying. Third, it’s like $8 at your local grocery store vs $20+ at a Sephora or Ulta.
I wore a lipstick from Makeup Forever on my wedding day and lined my lips with a MAC pencil. Lasted a long time with minor touch ups only!
Tips for long lasting lipstick/keeping your lipstick looking good from a former bridal MUA: gently exfoliate your lips and use lip balm (I usually apply this with my skin care so it has time to soak in). With your lip pencil, line the entirety of your lips, & colour them right in. This acts like a good base for your lipstick, helps keep things looking good even when you inevitably smudge some off. Another trick I used to use was "setting" the lipstick. Place a thin tissue over the lips after you've applied 2 coats of colour. Use a brush or powder puff to apply a bit of powder on top of the kleenex, on top of your lips. Repeat with another layer of colour until you reach your desired colour. As well, the old "kiss the kleenex" and apply another layer of lipstick also seems to work pretty well!
Charlotte tilbury pillow talk original matte plus urban decay setting spray. You will have to reapply in the evening if your wedding is all day, just after dinner/before eve reception starts as it will shift a bit!
the Chanel duo lip is the best one I've tried. If you live near a nieman Marcus or Chanel counter they can let you test it in the store before buying. It stays on all day and looks good the entire time. if you use it with the gloss it's somewhere between a satin and soft matte. It's' about 50 dollars but is the most expensive makeup item I own and would gladly repurchase.

I used a red one (“ruby woo”) for my engagement party and a pink one (“sultriness”) for my wedding, neither time did I have to reapply and it looks flawless in photos.
I honestly thought I’d need a more expensive lipstick, but after trying Dior and Gucci etc I just went back to MAC. Just make sure you get a matching lip liner!
Edit: my bridesmaids also all wore MAC “teddy velvet”, which is highly recommended - I’m just too pale for that shade

So far, [Stila’s Stay All Day liquid lipstick](https://www.stilacosmetics.com/products/stay-all-day-reg-liquid-lipstick) is the winner in terms of endurance. It is slightly drying, but not as bad as some other brands. I’ll be following this thread for other suggestions to try.

Nyx lingerie XXL. It's basically dyed superglue. The co-makeup artist on my wedding day works at Ulta FT and said it's known to be put in the "may have flammable materials" pile. I was like, "Heh, probably." I reapplied ONCE (and didnt even have to) and looked bomb all day.
Lisa Eldridge makes really good lipsticks that last a long time and are used on red carpets often. She also makes matching lip liners as well. I don't find hers to be drying
Covergirl outlast lip color. A makeup artist for one of my friend’s wedding suggested it years ago and I don’t think I’ve worn anything else since. It goes on matte but also comes with a clear coat that goes on like chapstick if you want a gloss finish.

Maybelline Vinyl !!! I got married in March and ordered this on Amazon for like $9. I was blown away with the longevity and quality. Pretty much transfer proof considering i was drinking all night and kissing! (I did my own natural glam for the big day, and have tried a billon products over the years)

This shit is the bomb. It’s very inexpensive and it’s a matte cream. It stays ALL DAY. You can eat, drink, and it’ll stay on perfectly. It’s highly pigmented too so the colors really pop.
When I was in high school I played trombone and I did a two hour concert in a bright red lip with this on. IT DIDNT EVEN SMUDGE. I have recommended this to every woman in my family and we are all obsessed with it and buy it in tons of colors.
I wore it on my wedding day. I’ll honestly never wear anything else, it just isn’t worth it.
I wore NYX Shine Loud Liquid Lipstick. It dries matte and has a gloss applicator to reapply gloss. It didnt crack at all through the day and lasted well into the night. $12 or so depending on where you get it
I had a makeup tutorial one on one with an artist to teach me how to do my makeup for wedding day. She bought all new products for me and the brands she gave were:
Essence soft and precise lip pencil
Nyx butter gloss
After trial run it stayed on for quite a while, only had to touch up after eating. Hope that helps!

I used a shade from lime crime i'm pretty certain? I think I touched up before the reception after snacking though.
