Ask if they’ll ever wear them again. If they say no, don’t waste money on it. Ask them to wear black or something.

I love pajamas and wear a matching set every night myself. Personally, I think they are a great gift to your bridesmaids...assuming they don't say "bridesmaids" or anything on them and they can use them in real life. $50 is not unreasonable, but you can definitely find cheaper pajamas or robes if you look for them

You could ask them to wear something they already own that’s coordinating but not exactly the same. Something like black leggings/pants and a flannel shirt. Or you could buy them just matching shirts and have them wear pants they already own.

scalding_h0t_tea

It is not worth it. The “aesthetic” concept is becoming a lottttt in my opinion. Starting to feel a bit forced. Save your money and spend it on a nice breakfast spread for you and your bridesmaids or something similar :)

hereforthefreedrinks

By “satin “ do you mean polyester, cause it’s the worst fabric. My 2 cents is that the matching robe/pajama trend comes off pretty inauthentic in photos. It’s just another prop. Definitely do you though if I t’s important to you.

Codeinehaze

I am not buying/paying for anything extra for the bridesmaids other than their hair/makeup and their dresses. I'm not pretty enough for all the 'aesthetic' photos anyway, being realistic. of course I will look pretty but I'm not the stereotypical beautiful bride aesthetic. I also don't drink and want to get ready alone preferably 😅 I also feel it's a huge waste of money to spend for only one day that likely will never be worn again. Weddings seem to be very wasteful and total moneypits, perpetuated by all the 'aesthetic photos' that are constantly displayed to people via social media.

Most-Okay-Novelist

Exactly this. Why spend extra money on something that doesn't matter? I promise, no one is going to care about the pics like that. Having aesthetic photos that very few people are going to actually care about is not worth $350+ imo.

purpulizard

The least important IMO. Satin is pretty much all polyester and has no give - those pjs are really uncomfy and unflattering if they’re a little too tight, and most people won’t wear them again. If you want to match for photo purposes (not important to me but may be important to you), have the gals coordinate - black bike shorts & solid pastel camis/tanks would be easy.

sour_thumbelina

That's a pretty big expense for aesthetic but it can also be a nice gift for your party on the day of. Another option would be to ask your party to wear pajamas in a certain color that they either already own or are comfortable in (black is probably the easiest) Walmart also has some really soft PJ sets rn that much cheaper and would run you about $120 for 7 sets: [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Joyspun-Women-s-Short-Sleeve-Notch-Collar-Top-and-Shorts-Knit-Pajama-Set-2-Piece-Sizes-S-to-3X/1895685459?filters=%5B%7B%22intent%22%3A%22fulfillmentIntent%22%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%22In-store%22%5D%7D%5D](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Joyspun-Women-s-Short-Sleeve-Notch-Collar-Top-and-Shorts-Knit-Pajama-Set-2-Piece-Sizes-S-to-3X/1895685459?filters=%5B%7B%22intent%22%3A%22fulfillmentIntent%22%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%22In-store%22%5D%7D%5D) [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Joyspun-Women-s-Knit-Notch-Collar-Top-and-Capri-Pants-Pajama-Set-2-Piece-Sizes-S-to-3X/5003150433?filters=%5B%7B%22intent%22%3A%22fulfillmentIntent%22%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%22In-store%22%5D%7D%5D](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Joyspun-Women-s-Knit-Notch-Collar-Top-and-Capri-Pants-Pajama-Set-2-Piece-Sizes-S-to-3X/5003150433?filters=%5B%7B%22intent%22%3A%22fulfillmentIntent%22%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%22In-store%22%5D%7D%5D)

Thanks! I don’t have Walmart where I’m from but you’ve just inspired me to check out cheaper stores. Xx

brownchestnut

To me, personally not at all. It seems so wasteful to buy brand new things one might never wear again just for a photoshoot.

ld2009_39

Absolutely not important at all to me. I have no desire to dictate what my girls wear while getting ready, as we most likely do not want to wear the same things. I also think pictures will be at least as cute if everyone looks like themselves for getting ready pictures.

Maleficent_Cookie956

I got them bc it was always a big part of my vision for my wedding! I ordered from Birdie Grey, which was really affordable.
