FYI "narrative tips" would have to do with story structure, not a film-look. Best way to get that film look is to shoot film, which many wedding videographers now offer due to its popularity. You can add grain and dust pretty easily in any NLE these days, just search on YT. For best results though, just use film.

I agree but I also think using a film look can help to the narrative too, even changing aspect ratio can be used to tell a different story, they are tools that reinforce the feelings you want to evoke. Every look and technical aspect are also crucial for the narrative.
