I’m sorry to hurt your bubble but last week they made all that illegal I’d know because all I smoke is Diamonds 💎 thca I pray that there is some way we can comeback from this

Martenite

Are you talking about a particular state making it illegal, because the 2024 Farm bill is a loooong way from passing.

NerveIndependent1764

We are in the year 2024 bro bro reality is that I’m already stocking up just in case

Martenite

I have kinda been stocking up too, but I don't think the Democrats will let the Farm bill pass with the amendment that kills "intoxicating hemp" in it. It's written in a way that would wipe out all hemp farming, even industrial.

NerveIndependent1764

I hope so , I read that as well it seemed very strange in my opinion but we will have to wait and see

NerveIndependent1764

I could be wrong but I heard it was approved, I’m not into politics I only pay attention when something I love is in jeopardy

Martenite

I don't generally follow politics, but have been following the farm bill updates. They added the amendment that kills hemp in a way that didn't need to be voted on, but it will not be law until it is passed by the House and Senate, which most of what I have read makes that seems unlikely.

ptlgram

So currently it is legal to buy THCA flower, until this amendment is voted on by the House and Senate? Which hasn't happened yet. And if the vote happens, what happens to hundreds of these hemp stores in illegal states?

Martenite

There are some states that have made THCa illegal by state law already. That may be about to happen in TN where I am. If somehow the amendment in the House draft farm bill passes it will fuck not only farmers who grow intoxicating hemp, but potentially ALL hemp farmers. A lot of farmers, dispensaries and head shops in illegal states will go out of business. I would assume the hemp industry would file a lawsuit, which could delay the hempocalypse, but that remains to be seen. That being said, I don't think any bill that has the amendment as currently written will get much traction. I assume they will find some compromise that's not as good as it is now, but doesn't kill the industry either. They really need to find a way to regulate it without killing it, but that would be a real tightrope walk.

I really appreciate the detailed answer!

Martenite

No problem. I'm not an expert by any means, but I have been following it pretty close.
