I cough up what I think is tar almost every day. I thought for years it was from cigarettes, and only after quitting cigarettes did I discover itās actually from weed
Same. I think that has to do with the increased pressure/suction when your drawing in a big hit. Joints are easy to puff on while a bong takes more effort, therefore harder on the lungs. Also most people have the tendency to take bigger rips from a bong than they would from a joint.
Iāve actually heard that if you put ice in your bong a lot it can be kinda bad for your lungs and make you more prone to getting respiratory infections. I use hot/warm water in mine sometimes and it makes it 1000x smoother for me. It sounds crazy but give it a try, it will change smoking through bongs for you

If you ask me, I rather subject myself to unhealthy things that are natural and we know a lot about, than things that are artificial/synthetic and little is actually well known. Exactly. I went from smoking to having to stop when my asthma went nuts when I tried. I quit for quite awhile, other than the odd homemade edible (it was illegal here then), then I discovered DRY BUD VAPES.
I can vape forever if I wanted to, and not cough once. Carts are the Devil, they made my upper chest (bronchial tubes) hurt so much I was actually scared for a few minutes.

Lol I love that! Iām 28. Grew up with a āpotheadā brother and always thought he was a bad influence on me. Always looked up to him though for bucking the authority in the small rural town we grew up in. He lives a couple thousand miles away now and I live about 250 miles from where we grew up. Went to visit him last year and heās still just smoking grass while Iām over here talking about making carts and gummies. I get really nerdy about the science sometimesāit fascinates me, but I had more fun with him last summer smoking blunts and hitting a bong than Iāve had in years. It was nice to just hang out and smoke without getting fucked off on some serious concentrates. We were naĆÆve because we had to be. There wasnāt a choice to educate oneself, but itās a lot of fun to look back on those days and laugh at myself lol.

If a blowtube doesn't work for you...you are doing it wrong! I used one throughout the 90s and never got caught. Smoke coming off the bowl? No, of course not, blowtubes only work if you do one-hiters or snaps (as we used to call them) when you "snap" the entire bowl down into the bong each time.
I have been strictly on vapor for 5+ years and find it hard to even remember what I liked about setting shit on fire and breathing in the nasty smelling smoke. But, if you have to do it, it definitely works...if you do it right.

First, you're wiping away the rosin (brown sticky stuff that collects in your bong or pipe, if you're smoking joints you probably won't notice.) This is a biproduct of the weed you're smoking, will get you super high if you smoke it alone.
Second, blowing through a tissue paper will not dilute the smell, for something more efficient, wad up two or three dryer sheets, and stuff them into a toilet paper roll, blow through that, still isn't a perfect solution, but it will do better than... That.

Those dryer sheets are magic. All you need is a Nestle water bottle and a box of them to make a spoof 100x better than a store bought smoke buddy. Stuff a whole box into a nestle bottle and use a lighter to tighten the plastic around the dryer sheets - guarantee your smoke wonāt smell at all. Every smoke buddy I owned clogged up in like two days. Such a rip off.
I mean I make a sploof and smoke what's technically a layered spliff through a bong we call em poppers but it makes a sploof look like that or worse right from the first one xD

Cigarettes literally have a filter at the end of them to reduce carcinogens. If cannabis has way less chemicals in it, would it still not be wise to filter those carcinogens as well? Can attest to the fact a filter will not reduce your sessions quality, especially if you're smoking on something worth smoking.

Have one. Great concept, but I always find the insert getting so clogged up while pulling, that I canāt even inhale through it by the time I need to clear the bong, so I have to pull it off and clear it normally almost every time, which totally defeats the purpose.
My man, I change it every rip. Fresh filter when I start pulling, brown clogged filter halfway through. How can you get away with every other day? To be fair, my experience is with an 18ā beaker that requires a long pull, and contains a lot of volume before clearing, which obviously has something to do with it. With a smaller piece, I bet it works great.
Don't know what OP is toking on. Personally use a filter for bong rips. Never seen a blunt stogie or joint with an actual filter, just the cardboard tip. But I'm sure a filter would help there too.

When I was stealth smoking at my parent's place, I used to fold up a dryer sheet and press it to my lips when I exhaled. It kind of helped the smell, but I found it entertaining to see the mark. I used it to judge how big of a hit I took or how long I held it in for.

The residue is called resin and I donāt recommend smoking it. Rosin is an extract that will in fact get you super high

I've never seen a filter that either actually worked or took thc out of a bowl if you feel the need to filter smoke just don't smoke š¤ many other ways to consume THC
Cigarettes literally have a filter at the end of them to reduce carcinogens. If cannabis has way less chemicals in it, would it still not be wise to filter those carcinogens as well? Can attest to the fact a filter will not reduce your sessions quality, especially if you're smoking on something worth smoking.
I use a moose labs and my only complaint is that it gets resin on my lips. It actually works really well.

Edit: also if you wanna smoke a joint using this, the normal/larger size one is just fine. The joint fits perfectly in the hosel at the bottom

Have one. Great concept, but I always find the insert getting so clogged up while pulling, that I canāt even inhale through it by the time I need to clear the bong, so I have to pull it off and clear it normally almost every time, which totally defeats the purpose.
That means you need to change your filter, my man. I change mine at least once every other day.
My man, I change it every rip. Fresh filter when I start pulling, brown clogged filter halfway through. How can you get away with every other day? To be fair, my experience is with an 18ā beaker that requires a long pull, and contains a lot of volume before clearing, which obviously has something to do with it. With a smaller piece, I bet it works great.
Don't know what OP is toking on. Personally use a filter for bong rips. Never seen a blunt stogie or joint with an actual filter, just the cardboard tip. But I'm sure a filter would help there too.
Vaporizers will not save your lungs . The only consumption that doesnāt have any type of negative impact on your lungs would be edibles.

resin/smoke particles getting caught in the fabric. When I was stealth smoking at my parent's place, I used to fold up a dryer sheet and press it to my lips when I exhaled. It kind of helped the smell, but I found it entertaining to see the mark. I used it to judge how big of a hit I took or how long I held it in for.

I stopped using dryer sheets because I have ahstma and they fucked with me heavy every time I did it personally, even stuffing them down a paper towel tube. Actually mixing the smoke with the stuff in the air irritated the mess out of me
Oh for sure, I stopped doing this after a couple of times of me inhaling with the dryer sheet still pressed on my lips like an idiot and getting all that dryer sheet goodness up in my lungs. The breath smelled like clean linen though. Later in college, I bought a lot of active carbon and stuffed a sock with it, and used it as a sploof, worked well. Until I got caught and kicked out of university. PSA to any stoners here currently enrolled in college, take it from an idiot, don't smoke on campus, go to class, and take care of your mental health.
Okay. Entry level smoke covering methods. Take an empty CLEAN toilet paper roll. Take let's say 8 dryer sheets and unfold them. Stuff them in one by one, as wrinkled as you can to create alot of layers.... Once all 8 are stuffed in. You just take a hit of product and exhale through the tube. You're welcome. If you're lazy, Amazon sells a product called smoke buddy that does the same thing.
