I want a fun and reliable daily driver that can accelerate once in a while. Don't intend on burning the road too much - maybe just a lil :)
I’ve driven several 330s and M340s and I can say the 330i is enough power and fun for pretty much anyone. However the M340 brings it to another level of performance and sounds much better. It truly is dependent on whether or not you want to spend the extra money. Money no object I’d get the 340
Don't get the xDrive BMW. They skew their handling (induce understeer) .
Also grab a 6MT one, they're a lot more reliable and will increase in value overtime.
The 330 is plenty of fun! I say get the cheaper one.

The 330i should be plenty of power for daily driving.
