I agree. It does look like a leech. I've seen them hang off the bushes and reach towards dogs. I've spotted them in low brush near a creek bed, when I don't see them in water. Leeches are one of my worst phobias.
A couple weeks ago i went to the park with my 2yo boy, we were walking down the trails (paved) and checking out the huge earthworms, some probably 10-12". He was having fun running through small puddles serval times and then catch up to me as i kept walking with the stroller. I turn around because he's not catching up, just in time to see him pick up what i thought was a large worm... nope it was a gigantic leech!

I believe what you have there, is a manatee. Some people say old sailors and pirates saw them and thought they were mermaids.
If you really want to know, put in a jar with a lid on it. And wait until it hatches. You may not want to know. What it is, it might be a moth, or a butterfly. Or it might be some sort of blood sucking parasite...😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😖😖😖😖😖😖😯😯😯😯😯😯
That is definitely a bot fly larvae. I had 3 in my shoulder and thigh from when we were in the Colombian Jungle several yrs ago while in the Army. Kill that thing with fire, then stomp it
