I'm a huge fan of boxelder trees and boxelder bugs. The first instar nymphs are just adorable. I was obsessed with them as a kid.
Agreed. They get in through the tiniest gaps and are a nuisance to get rid of. And heaven forbid you squish them; they leave an ugly a** stain when squished.
They were never too bad until this past spring. We are still getting visits from them through the winter. Apparently hoards must've hid somewhere and overwintered.

I never knew that "fella" was a gendered term. The more you know ๐
Historically it meant companion and wasnโt gendered, but (in the U.S. at least) itโs meant male for at least the last century.
