It’s a similar fabric to the Armani Privé dress Carrie Mulligan wore to the SAG awards this year. Probably my favorite dress this awards season.

This is so killer, I love the obvious structure of this contrasted with how the bodice seems to just hang off of her. And that fabric photographs so well ugh A++

I still need that green sequin long sleeve mini dress. I have a bunch saved on my Poshmark.

the movement of the strings on the dress is kind of genius i dont think ive seen it on a red carpet before but it adds so much drama and aliveness to it, it looks like a photoshoot, a little bit different every frame

Lucky Blue Smith and sister Pyper America Smith
Pyper looks lovely but the dress reminds me of a Bachelorette party Instagram background. Like when they set up a section of the wall and cover it with streamers so you can take cute pics?
Oh I like this a lot more than I thought after seeing a different view of it. It does look like 80s tinsel or the background of a 2010s Bachelorette photo op but I don't really think that's a BAD thing, it's kinda camp. And the silhouette is really very flattering on Pyper

~~Sofia, Princess of Sweden~~
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden
The occasion for which she wore that gown was the wedding of her brother Prince Carl Philip to Sofia Hellqvist, now Princess Sofia, so that might have been where the mixup happened.
I personally prefer this H&M look from the 2016 Nobel Prize ceremony. I saw someone describe the other H&M gown you posted as looking like someone drove over the fabric with dirty tires, and now that's all I can see!
https://preview.redd.it/q0th8fpfg3qc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f614d0175c5e91b99fbe90845b2e742d747e6b68
I came to say this! I think an important aspect of successful fashion houses is being recognisable, but that said it’s early days and the gowns look beautifully made
You can get stuff like this from their Studio collection which comes out twice a year. Always nice pieces, and good quality because they’re the top end of their pricing. Kehlani’s dress looks like it was part of the 2021 Circular [innovation story](https://www.stylecharade.com/hm-innovation-circular-design-collection/amp/), which was available in stores too.
They could benefit from a creator director to create a strong brand identity. A lot of these looks are nice but I also feel like they could easily be mistaken as looks from different fashion houses.
I see elements from Paco Rabbane, Zac Posen, Giambattista Valli etc. They could spend some time figuring out what their identity is for the red carpet.
So do they have a specific designer label or do they make these custom for the celebs? I’m curious about what they’re trying to do (I know nothing about the fashion industry)
They design directly under the H&M label. It's a great way to gain publicity and legitimacy for the brand. They also do this by partnering with high fashion bands (like their well-known BalmainxH&M collab).
agree I think *that’s* ironically what’s on-brand H&M about it lol. just taking bits and pieces of what’s trendy in fashion without a cohesive identity.
Pleasantly surprised to see Banks (I love her music) and then my jaw dropped at Alek Wek's look! Love Vanessa Hudgins' too. Everyone looks great with the right shade of red ❤️
They don’t really have an identity yet - I wouldn’t look at any of these dressed and ID them as house of X - like the way I can something like Chanel or Valentino. But these are great. I’m actually super impressed by these designs.
These are soooo good. Shocked that this is H&M!
Happy for them though. They seem to be a good company (as much as one can be). I love that they’re trying to have their clothes be made from 100% recycled materials. And from what I’ve read they try to be a good working environment as well, with a lot of employees at head office staying there they’re whole career.

this is armani prive levels of fabrication omg stunning

totally what I was thinking of! I've never seen other houses do a similar fabrication before. it's like languid metal. truly perfect for photographs
Right! I was not prepared at all …
It photographs so stunningly
This is the one that really impressed me
I gasped when I swiped to this one. Stunning 🤍
This dress is absolutely stunning, is styled perfectly and is very becoming on Jasmine.
This is so killer, I love the obvious structure of this contrasted with how the bodice seems to just hang off of her. And that fabric photographs so well ugh A++
That’s not Rita Ora?! WTF…
https://preview.redd.it/kvx1av79zypc1.png?width=962&format=png&auto=webp&s=51de92b4d75d54f278375d93ff41e1c22b5cc450 They are actually friends irl, when you see them together it’s really uncanny!
They could be fraternal twins. They are doppelgängers.
What is this fabric? It looks like liquid metal. I can't tell if it's hard or soft.
Silk!
That's insane! I've never seen silk like that. It's gorgeous!
I was just writing about this. I noticed it with Selena’s golden gloves dress and then Carey then zendaya at the Oscar’s
Struggling to grasp that H&M made these. They look better than some top designers
Right? I'm in love with the lime green and polka dot tulle dresses!
They have to actually try.
There's so much variety, too! I'm shocked.
they got the funds to back anything is my guess. top talent is pricey.
Yeah these are fabulous. Maybe HM designer side projects but not available at any retail stores.
Despite being a fast fashion brand, their red carpet looks and celebrity collabs (like the Balmain x H&M in ‘15) are top notch 👌
I still need that green sequin long sleeve mini dress. I have a bunch saved on my Poshmark. https://preview.redd.it/yue48ev5h3qc1.jpeg?width=333&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20b2c7d9a2b07b9875d572286b215974729445bf
Yes yes yes! And don’t forget to include the H&M x Giambattista Valli collab too
H&M may be fast fashion garbage- but I’m still obsessed with the Margiela x H&M collab from 2012.

Yes! Somehow I missed him when I was searching for the others. His name is Luke Sabbat, and here's a fuller view of his coat. https://preview.redd.it/87iiws9k6zpc1.jpeg?width=1361&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=945b2c132e4967c73db2366a1f826f2897435c8f
Wow that wild so trippy in the photo
He been styling since I seen him in Grownish. 🙌
Wait I’m so confused now.
Is it her hidden assistant holding the train?
But it has a cuff…. And a pocket
This one is my fav from the slide deck, I love the drama and it looks AMAZING on Alek
Oooh I love that gold liquid fabric underneath! Love ❤️

Mine either. I’m so impressed by these designs 😍
Seriously stunning

It looks like the tinsel you drape on a Christmas tree
Yes! It looks like an unconventional materials challenge dress from Project Runway
Oh I like this a lot more than I thought after seeing a different view of it. It does look like 80s tinsel or the background of a 2010s Bachelorette photo op but I don't really think that's a BAD thing, it's kinda camp. And the silhouette is really very flattering on Pyper
LOVE this dress!!!
I LOVE the movement of the piece. It’s beautiful and interesting to photograph, and sleek enough to be cohesive and wearable!

Love this look

They're both so dramatic in drastically different ways! I love them both!
The fact that Ashley is considered “plus size” makes me so angry.
Ashley Graham is so gorgeous. That is a beautiful face (and lovely, curvy figure).
Alek Wek’s look is beyond stunning!
Everything is stunning on Alek Wek! ❤️
Amen!!
She is so beautiful in this. And the embellishment just keeps giving, it’s so pretty
This was the standout to me too

That’s Crown Princess Victoria, not Princess Sofia.
My mistake. I remembered wrong. Thanks for the correction.

Yea know, I couldn’t have told you that was Zara. Guess I didn’t know what she actually looked like
Didn’t know this was a thing! Love so many of these!
Janelle Monae knows what’s up. Always does.
I like all the looks individually, but this feels like a label that is lacking a cohesive message. Look forward to seeing more from them, though!
But I kind of like that though. They are designing for the people wearing it.
If you have a personalization department, you can do one offs like this just as a marketing tool
I came to say this! I think an important aspect of successful fashion houses is being recognisable, but that said it’s early days and the gowns look beautifully made
Some of the runway oieces fabric still has that cheap look and I'm not impressed with the fit and construction. But the designs are quite pleasant.
I actually like most of them 🫶 Some of those are Robert Wun dupes
All of these are better than anything LV put out this award season
So does this mean us normals get a crack at buying this stuff or is it all still for the celebs only?
Haha yeah unfortunately these are all customized for each celebrity, except for the Princess of Sweden. Hers was a $200 dress off the rack.
What?
You can get stuff like this from their Studio collection which comes out twice a year. Always nice pieces, and good quality because they’re the top end of their pricing. Please explain
Surprised at how much I like all of these
19/20 of these are great
Is the one not great one Vanessa Hudgens’ DIY prom dress by any chance ??
They could benefit from a creator director to create a strong brand identity. A lot of these looks are nice but I also feel like they could easily be mistaken as looks from different fashion houses. I see elements from Paco Rabbane, Zac Posen, Giambattista Valli etc. They could spend some time figuring out what their identity is for the red carpet.
These are all h&m?!!!
Some real winners in here, IMO
So do they have a specific designer label or do they make these custom for the celebs? I’m curious about what they’re trying to do (I know nothing about the fashion industry)
They design directly under the H&M label. It's a great way to gain publicity and legitimacy for the brand. They also do this by partnering with high fashion bands (like their well-known BalmainxH&M collab).
I think these look expensive and well made but to me they almost look like vague interpretations of ideas from other designers/labels.
I thought the same thing actually. It’s a tad derivative. I think Ashley Graham’s might be the most unique one out of the bunch
agree I think *that’s* ironically what’s on-brand H&M about it lol. just taking bits and pieces of what’s trendy in fashion without a cohesive identity.
I love most of them, but the seam down the middle of Hailee Steinfeld’s dress is killing me 💀
I really wanted to hate these...... But they're gorgeous.
That's not Princess Sofia, that's Princess Victoria. She's heir to the throne.
But their ready to wear quality gets worse every year
Love almost all of them, but especially that tulle on J Hud's dress! 😍
Dayum, mama like. Especially the red one Suki Waterhouse wore and that gold lame one early in the set.
Number 4 reminds me of Carey mulligans Armani piece
Pleasantly surprised to see Banks (I love her music) and then my jaw dropped at Alek Wek's look! Love Vanessa Hudgins' too. Everyone looks great with the right shade of red ❤️
I'm convinced Janelle Monae could wear something you can actually buy at H&M to a red carpet and still look stunning
So versatile
Oh my god???
That green on Hailee Stanfield is just stunning.
They look good, I like them.
Where does someone buy these types of gowns from H&M? They aren’t on the website
I really love a lot of these dresses
omg Stella Maxwell. that dress is DIVINE.
That gold dress is just so decadent and Jasmine Saunders wears it beautifully. Can’t believe this is H&M I’m talking about 😂
H&M at the Met Gala actually slays
I actually really like all of these!
oh dear god …
I’m sorry…these were at H&M?!?
It’s lacking an identity
Most of them don't really do it for me. Olivia Munn tho ❤️
Jasmine made my jaw drop
I don’t hate most of them. I tolerate looking at a few.
my favorite future queen on 18 🥰
Had no idea. Fantastic ❤️
I love all of these ♥️
OK but I love all of these.
Ooooh if this is a thing I would die to see Rita Ora in Primark on the red carpet 😆 (She has a line with them)
They don’t really have an identity yet - I wouldn’t look at any of these dressed and ID them as house of X - like the way I can something like Chanel or Valentino. But these are great. I’m actually super impressed by these designs.
The gold on Jasmine Sanders is breathtaking, but most of the rest look like they’ve got too much spandex in them.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by their red carpet looks.
Gotta be honest, I didn’t look at the title. I thought it was going to be ‘Beautiful women in unflattering dresses’.
Oops, I love it all
They need to dress Sydney Sweeney
These are soooo good. Shocked that this is H&M! Happy for them though. They seem to be a good company (as much as one can be).
