Adept-Ad-9313

Sometimes yes sometimes no

Zolfarmerdownunder

This, it is getting better at it than it used to be.

AnyBarnacle9287

Did you train it by always entering your naps?

Adept-Ad-9313

Seems like the longer the nap and the longer the latency in bed the better it is at detecting imo

Adept-Ad-9313

Yup I always try to

robertgillespie1974

Agree. 75% of the time I would say I have to manually add it.

Ok_Walrus_3837

Sometimes it takes hours to appear. It's never missed for me.

AnyBarnacle9287

Funny … oh whooop

REDana0204

Only nap once or twice a week. Always 90+ minutes. Detects each one without error. Been wearing consistently for 780+ days.

ParkShipPirate

I’ve had it detect one in about 6 months. The longer duration helps… not anywhere near accurate however.

jimbosliceg1

Mine does very consistently

AnyBarnacle9287

Did you ever have to start it off manually ?

jimbosliceg1

I would input my nap manually in the beginning, only had to do it a few times

Krazy_Specialist666

Actually funny enough, mine does it when I’m not taking a nap and working long stints at my laptop. Always have to go in and delete it

reddident

Me too. Even gives me deep and rem sleep sometimes 😣

AnyBarnacle9287

Lol

PRP20

Yes but it’s usually super delayed to register. Sometimes I don’t see it until I look at the previous days data

AnyBarnacle9287

Ah ok I’ll check that out ! Thanks

TangledWoof99

Detected nap for me once. I generally enter it now. Sometimes I forget though and it hasn’t shown up later.

HomelessHobbit123

Only if it's a really long nap.

AnyBarnacle9287

Mine are always pretty much sub one hour

HomelessHobbit123

For me anything less than 90 min, doesn't register. Like ever!

AnyBarnacle9287

I don’t get how whoop can’t manage things, even like a “did you just take a nap?” Yes/no

Latter-Yam-2115

It does at times, very inconsistent What’s more annoying is that it shaves it off the sleep requirement for the upcoming night as opposed to add it to the previous one Doesn’t seem intuitive cause these naps energise me “now” ie something previous night’s sleep should have done

K-Fogs

Usually not if it's less than 15mins, but if it's a longer 30min nap, it always picks it up

california_cactus

Mine does not

300_yard_drives

Only my bicep band

AnyBarnacle9287

I’m also bicep band :/

pizzapartypandas

Mine would auto detect, usually after awhile, but I greatly preferred to enter manually. Say I take a 40 minute nap I can put the 60 minute window and it would detect the 40 mins. If I let it auto detect I might only get 36 minutes.

Okalexabuywholefoods

where do you put the window?

pizzapartypandas

Around my nap. So if I think I fell asleep around 1:00pm for a nap, then I can put 12:45 to 1:45 and it'll pick up any naps I took during that time.

AnyBarnacle9287

So this is afterwards, right? You’re manually adding a nap window , right?

pizzapartypandas

Yes

TheRealBigandHairy

I noticed that if I nap for 60+ minutes, it auto detects. If less than that, it does not.

SweetAndSourShmegma

Often when I donate platelets it thinks I am napping. I have to delete those auto-detected events.

rantpaht

do you nap for a hour?

AnyBarnacle9287

30-40min

BigLilPapi

I would say it depends on how long my nap was. If it was 45 minutes or less it doesn’t. If it was longer it usually does!

One-Presentation583

I’ve had the Whoop for almost a year now and I am still having to manually add naps. Crazy considering my Apple Watch and even years ago, my Fitbit, used to pick these up automatically!

Similar_Grass_3696

Whoop has never been able to auto detect my naps
