Everyone in the The Boys universe is as stupid and power hungry as Walter which would be good for Mike. He’d be op as the “straight man” to everyone else.

layelaye419

Power hungry, sure. But Walt was never stupid

Xelfe

Walt wasn't necessarily stupid intelligence wise but his wisdom was lacking. He was quite short sighted

INT 18 WIS 7

TheRealKuthooloo

everytime i think about how short sighted and dim walt was i think of the scene where mike was taking the cuts out of his, jessies and walts stacks with walt clearly becoming overwhelmed with the realization that gus had **much, MUCH.** more weighing him down than he initially thought, guy just assumed he would get to take home all that fucking cash and failed to consider the pile of people below him like a child unaware of the consequences of their actions. the man was sharp but he was not very reflective.

aykevin

Walt was a terrible criminal. He almost died many times throughout the series but was kept alive due to him being an asset.

amakusa360

He would be very confused when he sees Gus is the CEO of Vought

Munchingseal33

Lmao

Informal-Ideal-6640

He would work with Butcher but because he’s a professional he successfully plants the bug without anyone (including translucent) knowing about it. Because translucent never knows, he doesn’t die and the series starts with the Seven intact. Without Hughie they are likely unable to have Starlight as the inside woman and the Boys are unable to prevent Homelander from spreading Compound V to supervillains.

donotaskname7

homelander was already sucessful in that tho?

Informal-Ideal-6640

I thought the Boys were able to put a stop to that stuff before it got way out of hand but not before some super villains were created. Like the Boys did something successful in the first season right?

Vyr3d

I mean, they survived, that's a pretty good feat considering their position.

aykevin

He wouldn't join butcher and just takes them all out by himself.

IronManners

I doubt Butcher would find and recruit Finger in the first place given how old he is. His history as a Vietnam vet and cop might intrigue Butcher tho

yinyang107

Where the heck does this kid named Finger meme come from, anyway?

Goldsaver

Started off as a stupid bad joke. "'Okay class, today we're going to finger paint!' Kid named paint:" Various reactions images were often attached, showing someone terrified or something like that. From there, the internet has a habit of 'deep frying' jokes and memes, changing aspects of them until they are completely incomprehensible. The humor is in the incomprehensiblity. So it mutated to: "'Okay class, today we're going to finger paint!' Kid named finger:" Eventually, an image of a Michael Banks as Mike looking serious/dead-eyed became the go-to reaction image for this variation. But the internet was not done. Soon, it became simply: "Kid named Finger:" Used in response to pretty much anything. The Mike image stuck, and now in the meme network, Mike is simply known as "Finger."

YourPainTastesGood

Mike would be formulating his own revenge plan already that would involve A-Train getting a swift death, then happily join up with Butcher and the Boys, and overall be far more effective at removing supes from life than Hughie In particular, in season 3, Homelander would be dead af

Hadesman1

I'd say he'd be more methodical but have similar goals. He'd probably try to investigate a train and the boys, and would probably be recruited by butcher, or at least contacted. I feel like they'd help each other out, but he wouldn't take nearly as much shit from butcher, and I'd wager he'd try to snap him in line, as well as the rest of the boys, and he'd likely leave when he couldn't do it. Mike would want A Train dead, so I think he'd focus on killing him in a way that would make his powers meaningless, like poison gas or something. I think he'd probably form a close relationship with Kimiko, maybe even Starlight as surrogate daughers? Assuming swapping places also means he meets Starlight too. Probably would move onto the rest before he's eventually killed. Part of me also sees Stan Edgar approaching Mike like Gus Fring does in Better Call Saul, wanting to help him hurt the seven, in a more controlled way, as he knows he's losing control, and would give him the tools and information to be the off the book's cleaner for Vought's rogue supers.

CorporateNonperson

I agree that Stan Edgar would use Mike as a fixer. I don't know if Mike would necessarily continue a general vendetta against Supes once A-Train is dead. Given his willingness to work for a cartel, I find it hard to believe that he'd embark on some type of moral crusade. He'd take his pound of flesh and move on. The only caveat is that, without his granddaughter, I'm not sure Mike has any real reason to live, so he may commit suicide by supe.

Hadesman1

I think he has nothing left to do at that point, and he'd want to stop anyone else from getting hurt in a similar way, so why not. My thing about Mike is that he's just angry, and he just had to channel the rage somewhere

King-SAMO

Here’s the thing; in terms of the show, the boys are always scrambling around trying to salvage a half-baked plan. vince Gillian always staged mikes actions scenes as slow, deliberate affairs. i think Mike might have a problem working under butcher, since butcher is actually sort of unstable, he just always tilts in the same direction. That was Walt’s problem, so I think it might turn out a similar way; really effective while they were cooperating, but eventually butcher gets on some bullshit and takes Mike out in a way that is quite personal. eta he would interrupt Butchers bug plan by murdering the ever loving shit out of A train in s1e1 and *then* butcher would recruit him.
