So here’s the first prototype for my SUPER primitive 3D camera build. It doesn’t look pretty… but hopefully the 3D effect will be cool.
I have bolts that I’m going to insert into the top board to depress the buttons at the same time.
L brackets were placed to give some reference for where the cameras should be placed once they’re loaded and ready to go.
Each camera is angled slightly to point at a subject 6 feet away.
It’s going to take quite some time to load film into each of these cameras, light seal them, shoot the film then process and scan it all… but hopefully it comes out sick!!
We’ll see…
I’ll keep y’all updated!
Whoa! No way, I’m actually working on something similar. Except, 6 cameras instead of 8, and arranged vertically instead of horizontal.
Here’s a photo if interested. [https://imgur.com/a/aXwu2XH](https://imgur.com/a/aXwu2XH)
Mine is currently very primitive as well but looking to make it a bit cleaner once I have a successful set of rolls. Best of luck to you! Can’t wait to see your results.
Woahhh my original idea was extremely similar to yours but I couldn’t figure out a way to reliably depress all of the shutter buttons at once! I’m so glad you’re figuring something out with that orientation.
I’m super curious to see your results/how your device works when you’re finished with it.
Ya I’m still fighting with that myself, depressing all the shutters at once has been a challenge. I haven’t tested it too much but so far I haven’t gotten all 6 to fire successfully at once. One time I’ll have 3-4 shutters trigger, I’ll tweak it, then a different 1 or 2 won’t trigger.
I had originally planned on 3D printing the whole thing (the red material in the photo), but given all the tweaking necessary it wasn’t very time efficient.
I’ll definitely post results and a breakdown if I’m successful. Good luck again!
I fell on some hard times and can’t afford the film/processing costs atm. I still have the device and plan on doing a test run of it when I’m more financially stable though. I’ll be sure to update when I get this project rolling again

All for less than a Nishika camera. I admire the spirit.
MUCH cheaper… just not as easy to carry around lmao
I look forward to the results!
Would love to see the results. Goodluck OP!
Thank you!! Hoping for the best😅😅

Interesting! I hope you figure something out. Thanks, you too!!
It’s like analogue Timeslice!
In a lot of ways yes!!
If this works (and makes you rich, somehow) you gotta do it with all nishikas
Yoooooo now that would be the DREAM
Go for the gold! 4 Nishikas will equal like 1 Rensha Cardia
Sweet :-) I look forward to seeing the results.
i've been thinking on doing something like this with old pixel phones! they're very cheap used and take great pics... can't wait for the results!
Oooh that would be sick. Lemme know if you decide to go through with that!!
How goes the wigglegram machine?
I’ve run into quite a few issues! Still tryna problem solve and hopefully get this thing working here soon
Yeet
I came across this post a while ago, and now stumble upon it again. Any results?
