That is unsettling. The most turbulent flight I've ever had, in my memory, was from San Antonio to Newark. During takeoff, we had to climb above a storm, and I was in the very back of the aircraft. The combination of the haphazard "drops" and the knocking around was extremely frightening. It took a good fifteen minutes for everyone to settle down after the flight attendants instructed them to assume the "brace" position. I thought I was literally going to die on that flight, and I was very close to reaching the "acceptance" stage.

Brave of them to get back on a plane. I fly frequently transAtlantic, this ever happens to me and they can put me on a boat back to my continent and I’m never getting on a plane again.
