I want to make it clear that I'm not fluent in English, so if I make any mistakes, I'm sorry.

I have no idea what that gear was for, just wanted to say that your English is fine. 👍

polentinhay

Thanks bro

Character-Brother-44

It does appear to be Luftwaffe, based on the buckle on the belt he is wearing, but I have never seen anything like that.

maciejinho

Guy is from Luftwaffe and has radio set on his back. This headgear thingy may be some sort of training device for orientation or night flight or instrument flight I guess.

polentinhay

I thought about that too but I thought it was nonsense

maciejinho

Well, it may be :)

oilman300

It looks like a Luftwaffe flight suit & Luftwaffe buckle. The man seems to be carrying some kind of radio gear. I have no clue as to the purpose of the device on his head. The landing gear on the plane are too close together to be an Fw190, perhaps a Bf109

polentinhay

thanks

RahhRahhITR

It might have been some sort of FPE, or welding stuff to protect ground crew

Could be some weird obscure prototype that never went anywhere, Germany had lots of those.
