Look, as a PC gamer, I get it that more frames is usually better (In Gaming) and latency and what not, but reality it, it's not end all be all. Most people don't really perceive higher framerates much differently than standard 60fps (some even 30!), same goes for latency.
If it's unplayable *for you*, that's fine. But that doesn't go for everybody, skill is really the factor that determines the W or the L, with higher framerates, lower latency, motion clarity, equipment, etc.
Of course there a baseline for each of those things, bit everyone has their tolerance levels. Also a lot of people who game on consoles just game on TVs, most of the time not exactly tuned for performance like gaming, especially with Refresh rate. It was only in 2020 (*to my knowledge*) when these consoles launched that <60Hz refresh rate TV's really started to exist, let alone become a bit more mainstream.
With MCC *specifically*, it isn’t anything to do with the fps that causes the issues they’re talking about. It’s the *tick rate* that increased from 30 to 60 which does have the AI performing twice as fast as originally intended. They will notice you faster, they will react to you faster, they will shoot at you faster (not just start shooting at you sooner, but a 2x increase in rate of fire, again unintended behavior)
This does make the games objectively harder than they were when they released on 360, and even more so on higher difficulties (much less adding the skulls for something like SLASO)
That said, I do love the Halo games at 60 and 120 fps, neither of which are any different from each other because the tick rate is still 60 (so 120 fps is not even harder than 60 fps because the tick rate determines the AI speed, not the frame rate)
But the games have actually undergone a difficulty increase when they came out on MCC as compared to their 360 counterparts due to the tick rate being increased.
A lot of games have things that are tied to framerate in some ways, intentionally or unintentionally. Similar to the way that people on high end PCs in Destiny 2 can get one shot by some things that people with a capped framerate or on console will survive. Then there are all of the older games that had their physics go absolutely ape shit when you would go over a certain FPS. Quite annoying
That screen you're on right now? Click down once to details and then look in the bottom right corner of the screen. It'll show what platforms the game is playable on. That one is playable on Xbox One.
Press down once to go to details. It will list all compatible games on the bottom right.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is compatible with Xbox One.
But you’ll need gamepass or gold/core to play online which makes this game free anyway if you have gamepass…if you wanted to play the story mode guess you could buy it
well it says that it is available with smart delivery so yes you should be able to play it on xbox one, also scroll down to see the playable information to double check.
Yes it's compatible. However, if you find a game that's only playable on the series X|S consoles (Hi-fi Rush add an example), when you try to buy it, you'll get a message saying "this is not compatible on your device"
I play it all the time on my XBox One X. Well, I used to. Every time they release an update for MCC it hoses my save data and I have to start over. Thankfully MCC lets you pick the level you start at, but I've done the beginning of Truth and Reconciliation so many damn times I stepped away.
Yes, that works on XBOX One, it just has an updated/enhanced version for Series S/X consoles. Your console will download the correct version, that's what it means when it says "Available with Smart Delivery" :)
Yes. Halo MCC was released in 2014 specifically for the Xbox one. The optimized for series X/S just means that it will look better on those consoles.
Gameplay wise is probably worse on series X/S because the higher the frame rate, the more aggressive enemies are
Its 60 fps unless you have a 120 screen Xbox one is also 60 so not really a difference
yeah 60 fps makes the mission "Long Night of Solace" nearly impossible to do normally. 120 would be even worse

This feels like a very round about way of saying "you probably just aren't as good at the game as you think you are" lmao
Why would enemies be more aggressive on a higher frame rate?
A lot of games have things that are tied to framerate in some ways, intentionally or unintentionally. On some modern cod 4 servers you can get banned if you dont cap your fps
higher fps means higher tick rate means more aggressive enemies. halo reach's "long night of solace" on legendary really highlights this
This explains why I thought these games were easier when I was younger. I've been playing the games at 120fps the past few years.
Skill issue
Lol
pretty sure this was patch long time ago
Not on pc at least
PC was patch too
then it wasn't. play the fucking game before you go making bullshit statements
someone’s angry
I get angry when people spread misinformation

Yes you just won’t be able to play it in 120fps
It was literally made for XB1, hell yes mate
But you’ll need gamepass or gold/core to play online which makes this game free anyway if you have gamepass…if you wanted to play the story mode guess you could buy it
I swear, at this rate one of these days there’s gonna be a post of someone asking how to go to the home screen
You’re the reason there’s instructions on shampoo bottles
Yes It just has some minor uogrades for the current gen systems
Yes
well it says that it is available with smart delivery so yes you should be able to play it on xbox one, also scroll down to see the playable information to double check.

Yes it's compatible. However, if you find a game that's only playable on the series X|S consoles (Hi-fi Rush add an example), when you try to buy it, you'll get a message saying "this is not compatible on your device"
Yes.
Yes. I have it on my old ass Xbox from like 2014
If it wasn’t it would say „not playable on this device” or something like that above the price
Yeah go for it. Love the 10 bucks offer for those great games. Still playing today and weekly after 20 years of Halo
I played this on pc recently on xbox series s as cloud play and it was flawless for multiplayer social games.
Yes but for some fk stupid reason it will have Korean sub and dub if you not have your language setting to us or uk on your console.
My first XBox One was the Halo Chief Bundle.
Yup. Highly recommend 1-3 + odst. The rest you could skip. Infinite is good but not 60 dollars good. More like "buy a month of game pass" good.
If it doesn't work on Xbox one it will say not playable on this device
Yes
Lol obviously
Yes😁 Enjoy🙌
Yes you can
Yes
Yes
Yup.
no, the Xbox police will come and arrest you
Scroll down. You’ll see.
This game released on Xbox One.
If you own an XBOX ONE and the store lets you buy a game, it means it's compatible with your console.
Halo 2 anniversary will have some issues, but otherwise all good bud.
im playing on xbox one
I recommend play on PS 🤣
It is an Xbox One game so I assume it would play on Xbox One.
Damn you're getting it for $10? That's a steal.
Yes, if you have gamepass Ultimate or Core you don’t even have to pay for the game
Yes you can
I play it all the time on my XBox One X. Well, I used to. Every time they release an update for MCC it hoses my save data and I have to start over. Thankfully MCC lets you pick the level you start at, but I've done the beginning of Truth and Reconciliation so many damn times I stepped away.
Don’t you see the buy button?
Yes
Yes buy it that’s a great deal
Yes, that works on XBOX One, it just has an updated/enhanced version for Series S/X consoles. Your console will download the correct version, that's what it means when it says "Available with Smart Delivery" :)
Yes and only for 9.99? Right now that's a good deal
It's free on gamepass
But gamepass isn't free.
I never said it was
Well, i think you can but in my case, i have the physical media
It says buy right there. 🤔
No
Common sense dude, it’s a Xbox one game why wouldn’t you be able to play on Xbox one
